  1. never said that was the statement :) hopefully one day we'll get those new functionalities implemented :)
  2. I guess that the update of the coolie down command came after that initial post from NineLine so maybe they still have to reflect that in the manual? this is the latest Wags video which talks about the latest update of the A10C II including some of the new hotas commands: https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-a-10c-ii-tank-killer/288715-dcs-a-10c-ii-tank-killer-faq-mini-updates?p=7117399#post7117399
  3. https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/englis...=9#post6445854 Here's the post made by NineLine about the new hotas commands Can't remember exactly where I read that the new functions will be added during the EA period but you can see it's happening with the recent HMCS coolie switch logic. It's probably a post somewhere here on the forums (or maybe it was mentioned in one of Wags videos) IIRC HOTAS logic has and will be changed to match the updated "suite" of the real jet (there's a discussion also here about the "suite 9" by Snoopy). It won't likely be a 1:1 representation of the real thing for obvious reason but close
  4. I think some of the new HOTAS commands will be implemented at a later date during its EA cycle (iirc ED mentioned something like this) Same for the new CMS switch logic which is not in the game yet
  5. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU ED for this update! Very nice to see all these fixes being introduced and the overall game performance improved. Great job! Absolutely LOVE the new gun sounds for the vulcan and the GAU-8 both in-cockpit and exterior :D I initially experienced some stutter every 10 seconds or so in PG map but after reading this 3d I saw that they're linked to the Mustang's terrain mod. Once I removed the mod the stutters disappeared and I even got a nice FPS bump. Really pleased to see that! Keep up the great work ED!
  6. according to the changelog the fix didn't make it to the A10C II, just the OG A10C. I can see the new viewpoint when playing on the OG A10C, but the A10C II still has the "old" view
  7. FYI it is still present also in the OG version of the A10C. Link to a previous 3d which has been already tagged "reported" https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/digital-combat-simulator/dcs-a-10c-warthog/bugs-ab/290148-reported-cockpit-texture-error-and-mfd-text-description-language-error
  8. In the meantime that we're waiting for the official fixes, I took the liberty to fix some of the missions myself, specifically mission 3, 9 and 14. If anyone wants to give it a go here's the 3d and the link to download the fixes: Op Piercing Fury campaign FIX 2.5.6 Once again thank you Ranger79 for making these missions available to all of us!
  9. hmm Mission 15 worked fine for me, are you sure you're destroying all the targets as directed? Spoiler below: Let me know how it goes
  10. are you pressing the nose wheel steering button after the boom disconnects? This resets the refueling system and makes it ready to (re)accept the boom

    Beety warning

Hello there, this is a bug which is tagged [FIXED INTERNALLY] so I assume in the next OB should be fixed. At the moment all the VMU warnings are not playing (pull up, pull up, altitude altitude, speed brake speed brake, warning autopilot, etc) [FIXED INTERNALLY] where is the girl speaking? Funnily enough they do work on the OG A10C
  12. Tried this one out today and keeping in mind that is not intended for public use I found that one major positive (at least for me) is that the objects, shadows, etc are rendered at the same distance with both eyes  which is a welcome change since with it turned off they render at different distances and it's super annoying and distracting when using VR. It comes as a "cost" that cockpit flood lights now are rendered only with one eye so I just turn them off... However this looks promising and I look forward to see the polished version. @BIGNEWY any update on this?
  13. As per title, in the main DCS website, User Files section I cannot see anymore the comments done to the user files. I can see the number indicates say 20, but I visualize only 1 message. Example here (user file of mine): Comments: 20 (but I can only see one if I scroll down) https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.c...files/3312575/ Any way of fixing this?
  14. In my case it seems to be connected to MSAA.. I had it a 2x and I constantly was getting the black flickering especially during high GPU/CPU load. Turned MSAA off and black flickering was gone (obviously visual quality is greatly reduced though) On missions where I have few AI units and not too many static objects even if I turn MSAA 2x I don't get any flickering (I assume because the GPU/CPU have "spare capacity")
  15. let me know if you experience the same issue Hammer1-1
  16. I've been experiencing the same issue with the latest OB 2.5.6.55960 on SC and other locations I'll quote below my message I posted on the other 3d related to this issue: VR issues 2.5.6.50321 BIGNEWY you have any update on this issue?
  17. I'm reviving this thread cause I've been experiencing the same issue with the latest OB 2.5.6.55960 on SC and other locations I'm using an HP reverb and I have sometimes the black flickering box on the right eye when certain light condition exists. 1. It was very evident on Piercing Fury mission 15 when taxing from Kobuleti at night in front of the apron flood lights (flickering as you pass them) 2. Pretty much anytime I turned on the cockpit flood light to any percentage (A10C). 3. Taking off at night while the runway flood lights are turned on automatically. As soon as you move away from them the flickering stops 4. I also experience this on the SC deck. I noticed that in Piercing Fury mission 15 when flying away from any airport or objective, turning on the cockpit flood light didn't cause the issue so maybe it's related to GPU/CPU usage (mines are pegged at 90/100% on occasion) coupled with dynamic lighting? BIGNEWY you have any update on this issue?
  18. Also, funnily enough If I use the VR preset that DCS suggest I am getting worse FPS than with my own (higher) settings
  19. I should add: in game PD 1.0. Steam VR supersampling 150%
  20. my system doesn't compare to yours (in signature) because I have a very old CPU and MB but I found this out: Clear your SavedGames folder (or rename it if you don't want to loose any files) and remove the terrain metacache. Then load a "fresh" DCS. By doing so I found that I can get much better FPS and stability, still far away from the steady 45fps that I'm looking for but for that I'll need to upgrade my PC. Not sure what weird obsolete files were causing this but clearing the folder improved my experience With vis range to medium, AA 2x, An filter 8x, terrain obj shadows off and all other settings maxed out I am getting around 32 to 36 fps while flying, low 20s at airports, 40+ at high altitude... not ideal but considering I am running a 8+ years CPU is not bad.. And I have an HP reverb which has a higher res compared to your index. (I am not running any shaders mod, only terrain for PG and Caucasus and better trees/smoke) CPU and GPU usage are most of the time pegged at 100% with occasional drops to 80ish and subsequent bump in fps. Also, I read quite often that you should set in your NVIDIA control panel the "number of frames pre-rendered" to 4 (maximum). If I do that in my system it completely crushes my CPU and I get all sorts of weird rubber banding and stuttering. I set that to 2 and it works much much better and I even tested 1 and it is also super smooth. Maybe give that a go. Make also sure that DCS is set to your CPU max priority by adding this register entry: Default to high priority process for DCS.exe I took many good advices from this video, maybe you know it already if not give it a go (be aware that not all those advices might be beneficial or applicable to your system e.g. in my case the NVIDIA pre-rendered frames)
