  1. Just tried to launch from the Roosevelt If I try to launch from the CVN-71 even with the a/b the speed is around 170-180 so maybe the issue is related to the other carriers?
  2. Experiencing the same. Even when playing without the SC. Restarting DCS fixes it
  3. can confirm overall better performance with the lasted OB. However after the game has been running for a couple of hours and/or after 3 or 4 missions the FPS drops significantly. Restarting DCS fixes the problem
  4. all good now with the updated version. Thanks!
  5. hey NineLine! Did this fix make it to the release of the SC? I'm playing the campaign "Cage the bear" from kaba: when launching (using burner) the F/A18C from CVN-72 Lincoln I see IAS of 200+ kts at the end of the cat.
  6. Thank you very much Kaba! Playing this for the first time with the SC! If i select the super carrier version on the campaign screen it still loads the stennis version on the catapult hot. Had to replace all the mission from the supercarrier folder and then it worked :D
  7. I'll give it a try later but IIRC I had no problem uploading custom presets in the pit using UHF, can't say the same with the VFH though but maybe I'm doing something wrong there... In the virtual cockpit the activation point for the mouse pointer has shifted and is not over the "physical" button on the radio panel, I think there was a bug report about this but don't know if it has been acknowledged by ED. If you try to hover the mouse in the vicinity of the squelch/status button you'll see it turning from a cross to the green option pointer and then you can press the buttons. Indeed key bindings work as intended ;)
  8. fly at low altitude / be ready with your CMS ;)
  9. Not familiar with nvidia inspector, but have you tried it from the nvidia control panel? from another 3d. works like a charm ;) you're gonna need to re-set it whenever you update your drivers
  10. can confirm. *note: I have an fps limiter set to 60. Smoke density set at 10. Little test track which shows the issue. F/A18C hornet, when black smokes comes out from the exhaust the fps drops from 60 to 22. As soon as the smoke disappears the fps go back to 60. Note the fps counter top left of the screen exhaust smoke fps drop.trk
  11. hey! have you tried adjusting the sensitivity/gain of your NVGs? To turn the gain up - Rctrl+Rshift+H To turn the gain down - Ralt+Rshift+H hope this helps :)
  12. checked this in 2.5.5 stable and the text is not backlit, I suspect the backlight bug has been introduced with the new 2.5.6 O.B.
  13. Found this minor graphical bug while looking around the cockpit: Looks like the metal guard for the "ENG FUEL FLOW" panel is covering some of the text "ENG OPER" of the panel below reference picture of the real a/c found online
  14. Found this reference picture online: It seems that the text being upside down is correct as is. Not sure about being backlit, in my opinion from the original picture looks like a normal laser engraving so I would assume that in the real a/c is not backlit
  15. Hi baltic_dragon! found 3 very minor bugs in M11 (not sure if they're DCS related or not) spoiler alert for who didn't play this mission yet! 1. The "bugs" below I think are connected to DCS AI pathfinding but I wanted to tell you anyway just in case 2. 3. Let me know what you think =) Thanks again for this beautiful campaign!
  16. Thanks a lot Yurgon for your reply! Lot's of very nice points! For track no.2 I might have saved the wrong track regarding the markpoint... don't really know sorry :P Duly noted about the pitch down when releasing bombs  not really sure why I did that  Regarding lasing: I have read a lot of controversy about this method and to be honest I have never used it before this testing, however I wanted to give it a try to see if it would make any difference (which it didn't) Your explanation about lasing makes total sense and I agree with you =) I remember that as well, used to be almost a guaranteed hit every time you were dropping a JDAM. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon, happy to hear that at least my method is somewhat correct :D Thanks again!
  17. I've done some testing this morning using the last OB 2.5.6.47404 and Stable 2.5.5.41371. Attached are the following tracks: - A10C GBU38 - A10C GBU38-2 - A10C GBU38-3 these are done with OB. I've tried various method to assign the SPI and then releasing the bomb but the result are inconsistent. It's either a perfect hit or a miss by many meters. - slew TGP over the boat - TMS fwd short to point track - TMS fwd long to assign SPI - pickle next step was using the markpoint - slew TGP over the boat - TMS fwd short to point track - TMS right to assign markpoint - CDU mark point - TMS aft long SPI to markpoint -pickle Also tried lasing before assigning the SPI - slew TGP over the boat - TMS fwd short to point track - firing laser and hold - TMS fwd long to assign SPI - stop lasing - pickle Releasing is within parameters at various altitudes but in general above 8/9000ft, decent speed, wings level and either level flight or a very shallow descend before releasing. I'm playing the sturmovik campaign where you have to target the 2 missile boats in the harbor of Batumi but I've seen the same hit/miss in any other missions/campaigns Sometimes if you go to the F6 view the you can see the bomb flight path is not steady but it's oscillating quite a bit. Not sure if this is intended or else :dunno: I am not sure if I'm doing something wrong or there's still a bug related to the GBU38s. (I am aware that the precision of GBU38s is being worked on since 2.5 but I would like to give some more evidence to the devs.) The last track (A10C GBU38-4 stable) is done with the stable version but the results are the same (1 miss by a lot and the second perfect hit) If anyone can have a look at the tracks and help me it would be very much appreciated. :helpsmilie: Thanks! A10C GBU38.trk A10C GBU38-2.trk A10C GBU38-3.trk A10C GBU38-4 stable.trk
  18. @BIGNEWY any updates on the status of this? Since the OB 2.5.6.47224 I've experienced some inconsistencies in the precision of the GBU38s Thanks
  19. in DCS the ILS signal is tied with the active runway which is determined by the wind direction. make sure in the mission editor you've got some headwind set up for the intended runway with ILS ;) same problem reported on another 3d: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=226800
  20. Thanks Snoopy! Appreciate your message and your reference pictures! I admit the flap indicator and the G meter threw me off... should have done more research before submitting this 3d :book: Sorry everyone for the confusion :) PS:If you don't mind me asking Snoopy: the white tape on the flap indicator, does it have any meaning? thanks again :)
  21. As per title, the last OB 2.5.6.47224 introduced a new bug for the A10C cockpit As you can see the limit lines for every engine round dials have been scrambled around the cockpit and they don't match the correct instrument anymore. Some have found their way to the G-meter dial and the Flap indicator which obviously are not supposed to have any lines on their outer ring Tried a clean up and repair, deleted fxo and metashaders2, didn't work. Please make this fix as a priority as it has a big visual impact on the authenticity of the module. Thanks PS: short track attached A10C dials bug.trk
  22. Adding to the subject of BRT/DIM functionality, the CDU BRT/DIM button has no effect on the screen brightness
  23. First of all thanks to maple flag for creating these campaigns which they really made me learn and explore all the functionalities of the A10C! I enjoyed them very much and even if at times some missions can be frustrating I really had a very good time! My favorites are campaign 2 and 1 (AATQ and BFTQ) as they provide a variety of challenges and tasks which let you explore the functionalities of the A10C and DCS world. I felt that every mission had the proper length and duration with a growing level of skills required to complete them. TTQ Campaign however after the first 5 or 6 missions it felt (for me at least) very repetitive and with a shallow learning curve. A lot of attention was given to the authenticity of the type of mission with all the procedures and calls in place (CSAR, CAS, BAI, etc) but the mission profile felt repetitive (day/night cycle - routing) and at times too long. Apart from these aspects I still very much enjoyed it and despite some frustration with DCS AI commands (copy, rejoin, RTB) I had a blast playing it! TAC25 certainly was the most demanding mission and it took me 3 or 4 tries before passing it but at the end I managed :D If you are looking for a way to test your knowledge and skills of the A10C, this series of campaign is definitely the right one! I wish that in the future Maple flag could create a similar series for the other complex modules that DCS offers, like the F/A18C and F16C. Any plans on that once the modules are out of EA? :P Once again, THANK YOU MAPLE FLAG! :)
  24. running on the latest O.B. 2.5.6.45915 on the other missions it works just fine. I'll try a repair ;) thanks!
  25. hello there, I encounter a bug when playing mission TAC16 of this campaign. Colt 1-2 "sabre" starts up but never taxies to the runway. Even if I take off Colt 1-2 stays on the ramp. Any work around for this?
