Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9
Snakedoc replied to Taz1004's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks Drac, I had indeed unzipped the files but I set the OVGME destination folder in my SavedGames/DCS instead of the root folder in the install location. Realized the mistake few minutes after posting  anyway I fixed that and now the mod is working :D -
Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9
Snakedoc replied to Taz1004's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
ok disregard. I am an idiot  I had selected my \SavedGames\DCS folder instead of its root folder, that's why I could get the labels to work but not the others. resolved. PS: this mod is awesome :D -
Better Smoke V22 for DCS 2.9
Snakedoc replied to Taz1004's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hello Taz! I've been downloading few of your mods and let me first thank you for your amazing job!! I've got an issue however with "better smoke v6" and "better trees" I am using OVGME to enable the mods but it doesn't seem to work. I also have the "better labels" mod and with that one I have no issue. I've check the root folder and seems to check out. I have also deleted fxo, metashaders2, and the terrain metacache but I still get the default fx for smoke, craters and trees... Do you have a solution for this? thanks -
Hey Motomouse thanks for your post, I recently got a Reverb G1 and still dialing in all the settings. I think my system is suffering quite a bit due to the fact I'm running at 8+ years CPU but sometimes I can get some decent FPS (lol). I might be upgrading my system soon but in the meanwhile I got curious to try your advices on reducing the SteamVR rendering resolution. One question though: What Pixel Density are you setting in DCS? Also, could you list what kind of DCS settings and Steam VR setting are you using for options A, B and C mentioned above? *edit: I think I understood which settings are you using for which options, here's what I got (let me know if I got it right): Option A - Post #4 Option B - Post #8 Option C - Post #10 thanks a lot :)

Hey everyone! been playing around with this awesome campaign however I encountered some game-breaking bugs in Mission 3 and Mission 9 which prevent the missions from progressing. I've fixed some of the triggers and now it should work as Ranger79 initially designed them :) Here's the link if anyone is interested in giving it a go: ***update*** Mission 14 fixed https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3312575/ cheers :)

[FIXED INTERNALLY] Fuel Display selector position error
Snakedoc replied to razo+r's topic in Bugs and Problems
+1 same on OG A10C Fuel display selector bug -
Repeatable: 100% How to reproduce: start any A10C mission either cold and dark or hot start and look at the fuel display selector Issue: Fuel display selector doesn't match the notches on the panel to "fix" it you need to select left click until end of travel, then works as intended short track attached. thanks A10C fuel display selector bug.trk

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Snakedoc replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
It's most noticeable if you try to hold the AOA at the chopped tone with full power say after you've come off target. Before you'd get wing rock and buffet, now if you're careful you can hold the A/C at the "chopped tone" without any of those effects, of course if you pull back more on the stick you still get them -

Snakedoc replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks! I’ll give it a go :) update: just tried it and the head position feels good! unfortunately it breaks the hud even in this latest version. I'll be reverting to the "new" ED view for the sake of viewing the HUD correctly. Shame it's not "compatible" -

Noticed the same with the OG A10C after today’s update

Hi I would like to report these issues which were introduced today with the lasted OB 2.5.6.55743 Don't have the A10C II yet so not sure if the issue is present also over there 1) on the main panel, on the left and right edge where the bungee rope is looks like there is a white texture of some surface protruding 2) the "ENG INST", "FLT INST", "FLOOD" and "CONSOLE" light knobs have doubled 3d models over them 3) on the MFD when the TGP is selected in FLIR mode the text description of the "Increase" and "Decrease" gain function has chinese text next to the english one. It also says (No Function) but indeed it works as intended (to reproduce you need to select TGP with FLIR mode = BOAT switch FWD or AFT) Screenshots and short track attached. Thanks A10C cockpit texture error + MFD.trk

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?

glad to see the new A10C II Hud made it to the OG version also  good job ED! would be perfect now if the head position would be shifted back just a little to reveal the top row of MFDs button and the underdash lights :) -

[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?
Snakedoc replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks NineLine, on this note I would like to ask you guys to consider the head placement in this new view which may need tweaking before release; at this moment (and I understand is not the "final product") is much far forward toward the main panel, and you can clearly notice this by looking at some refence points like the once I pointed out in one of my previous posts. *see post 267 * In addition to that this forward view point renders the use of mirrors almost pointless because again you are "sitting" too far forward in the 3d cockpit, below a couple of screenshots to show the issue done with standard zoom and max zoom backwards and just "looking up" Thanks for the update! The HUD indeed looks much better in the A-10C II, good job! -

Snakedoc replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Exactly I think the same, that could be the key difference My guess is that only the VR view has been validated since the 355th will be using a VR training software as part of their agreement with ED as stated in the weekend news 25 September 2020 weekend news maybe someone from ED can shine some light on the subject? thanks NineLine, looking forward to an update on this  -
[FIXED] HUD: A picture is worth a thousand words?

this looks spot on and very similar to the old pre-high res cockpit view point. Ofc the HUD projection needs adjustment but the 3d position of the view point looks better imo -

Snakedoc replied to randomTOTEN's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
another pic I just created for comparison old pre high res cockpit vs new view point looks like in the new version you're sitting higher and closer to the panel than before, you notice this cause you can see the upper part of the dashboard and the first row of MFD button is not visible. The new HUD has also a taller projector which is in the way -
