  1. Necroposting really shows how much folks are dying in anticipation right now.
  2. What about torrents are archaic? Decentralizing the downloads is a good thing.
  3. Oh cmon, share with the rest of us! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  4. If that works for you, I'll also donate my home gigabit connection, too! lol Actually, I'd even offer some spare bandwidth I have around the US for just a taste lol.
  5. Any chance on an ACLS video?
  6. Unfortunately that doesn't solve the issue when flying solo on an MP server.
  7. Those are user editable. I just added another one for SnGs.
  8. Yee haw! Hopefully ED will release the OB early on Wednesday :-)
  9. Because people want to simulate the flying, not the ground setup.
  10. Interesting. I wonder if it's the elevon stalling then, as you'd expect the aileron to cause in most other generic aircraft in alpha-max flight.
  11. With those spoilerons, there shouldn't be much risk in using traditional roll controls at high AoA (with wings out), unless I'm misunderstanding something about the roll control in the aircraft.
  12. How did you not notice? The yaw tendencies are insane. It's a blast, though. Trapping wings-folded is a treat.
  13. Sweet. I love it when the real answers are better than the pessimistic scuttle.
  14. You've been on these forums long enough to know that it's normal here, I thought :pilotfly:
  15. I hope you know what pain you're causing by teasing us :-)
  16. Interestingly enough from the manual with regards to roll: Sounds like there will be plenty of opportunity to need to test this ;-) It doesn't mention pitch, unfortunately.
  17. If you're curious, right out of the published Heatblur manual:
  18. Does anybody know of a video showcasing ACLS? That's one feature I haven't seen demonstrated yet and I'm curious to see how it works and how well it works.
  19. No, of course not, but I didn't think that was ever an issue. No matter how you get it, production and distribution would still be a problem, though. Just because somebody blabs (regulatory) protected information to you doesn't necessarily give you the right to freely distribute it or reproduce it.
  20. News to me -- The NWS indication will remain on until you select gear up unless you disengage it yourself. You sure you're thinking about the correct aircraft?
  21. This entirely depends on jurisdiction. It's not the mere act of "knowing" that is the problem -- It tends to be about how you found that information in the first place.
  22. Fortunately Heatblur already did... their documentation already released is pretty great.
  23. It's a dated analogy, though. Intellectual property is a thing, and protected information is protected the same as tangible goods now.
  24. Digital data is also a tangible good. ITAR doesn't make a distinction. Technical drawings in autocad format or technical documents describing things can still be export restricted... and just because somebody else already "exported" it once (no matter how they got it) doesn't mean it's all of a sudden acceptable to disregard your responsibility to protect export-restricted information from unauthorized disclosure or export. In this case, it's not so much a title that'd be a problem -- It's Chuck being concerned about the contents of a paper teaching you to fly a Tomcat would be treading in to the grounds of export-restricted technical data. Without in export compliance review, it'd be tough to determine, particularly if it's not original data but derived from fictional documentation that we have, but I fully understand his desire to not tread in to murky waters.
  25. That doesn't seem particularly likely or precedented. After release, what's the big deal in the hour or so it'll take to start working up a profile?
