  1. Now I'm curious how the order numbers work. I ordered over a week ago and have a higher number than anything else I've seen posted!
  2. You mean the actual HSD, right? It wouldn't show on your knobs.
  3. Spoon feeding is now our obligation as a society.
  4. Your post is why I ordered mine!
  5. 1960 here. They sound like they're going quickly!
  6. When you're in the shopping cart, just hit "Buy as gift" and you can plug in their DCS username or email and it will deliver it to them.
  7. I sure hope he means this Wednesday :-)
  8. Actually, we did. Also note when the Space Shuttle was in the middle of all of that. The reason it took an extra 20 years is that you don't generally just upgrade airframes on a whim. A change to the systems would be a large undertaking, not as quick and easy and unplugging the old one and slapping a new unit in.
  9. That makes no sense. If there were security implications, ED nor the 3rd parties would know what they were in the first place. You don't keep secrets by identifying that you have secrets. Generally, the fact that things are a secret is just as protected as the information itself.
  10. Sure, it may be useful, but that'd require the radar and wcs itself to know what your actual heading is. Not everything is omnipotent, especially in a 60s era 3rd gen fighter. "10 left" may also advantageous if your SA begins to slip. Why take your eyes inside if you know what 10 left is, but you may not know exactly where 275MH is?
  11. Jester -> Crew Contract -> No Talking
  12. I mean real for use with the Hornet, being not a Hornet stick and all.
  13. Easy way to install the terrain modules and asset pack, just use the updater: DCS_Updater.exe install WWII-ARMOUR NEVADA_terrain NORMANDY_terrain PERSIANGULF_terrain
  14. Copy two weeks. lol. :pilotfly: But seriously, isn't that what the official line was a couple of weeks ago? Personally, I wouldn't have minded a less-polished paint kit up front with the expectation that I'd possibly need to update it later. It was good enough to get us the defaults, right? At this point, I doubt you're doing any new unwrapping or anything substantial, so it'd be trivial to move our custom layers around to a newer template. No matter, I'll sit here patiently waiting to put my name on the side of a jet... which is my primary desire for the kit in the first place :D
  15. I finally got to see it at Oshkosh last year. I like it, but I'm not sure I'll switch to it. The warthog, while less "real", has more buttons :-)
  16. So it will just launch automagically at full mil? What if you want to have fun and launch with the burners and it goes before the engines are up and ready? The salute to launch is far more flexible. I can't wait to see it backported to the Hornet!
  17. Close your eyes and imagine real hard, probably.
  18. I'd rather see lots of other things, but really it doesn't matter. What ED wants and what HB's market research shows will ultimately be what makes that decision. A vocal minority in a forum won't have any meaningful impact.
  19. Both at the same time? You're probably talking about toe brakes.
  20. You may want to adjust your technique some. TWS is not a mode well designed nor suited to close-in anything. As you start pulling the plane around, anyways, you'll find it less than useful as targets are quickly in and out due to exceeding either elevation or azimuth limitations. The radar here isn't exactly the one with the largest scan volumes (particularly in TWS).
  21. How are you loaded?
  22. Let me guess... just the outboard spoilers?
  23. I'm glad you're not my manager. lol
  24. Instead of going black, you get a new effect. How is that game breaking, exactly?
  25. On the Jester radio menu, there's a button on the low left to change modulation.
