is there a way to get a "who's online" from the DCS server list? kinda like getting a teamspeak list from a php or an html script? this would be a great option to have now that so many people are getting dedicated servers.

i use a 120g ssd by crucial just for windows7 and or any program that the os explicit needs. also disabling any caching to it, then have 4 hdd's for all other apps and programs. this setup is 3 yrs old. w7 starts after bios post check in 38 sec, including lan. i never looked back. my next setup will be my original 120g, plus get a 240g and go strictly ssd for all programs and raid my hdd's. do your homework. seriously! for a good explanation of ssd's, go to pcper.com and check out their ssd chart. i am modeling my next build to their 'hw leader board'.

i am no expert on having missles launched at me irl. but i have seen some really kool youtube vids of the actual launches. its not what you see in the movies thats for sure. if i know where they are and have a visual, i can see the plume. imo, dcs models the launch pretty well.

i have a dry erase marker that write with on a clear sleeve that has a 9 line document inside of it, that i had down loaded from the "downloads" section. works great.

played today. one of us died and the other was out of ammo before the helis reached the lz. needless to say they were shot down and all crashed and burned. but after a min or so, a message came on that stated "boots are on the ground". im sure they were.... just empty boots....lol

not sure i understand "make your own Bullseye Call". you cant "make your own B/E" that is set on the mission map. to find the B/E call from your location, use the offset page as you mentioned.

you may have used the wrong ordinance requested by the jtac. hence the, abort abort abort... tell your Ai to hold weapons or hold at ???

i believe that you could find some info regarding the A10 cockpit layout along with some other specs that may be pertinent in the 'cockpit builders' forum.
-
also head over to the cock-pit builders page.. you'll be shocked what you see there. as for printing, kinkos, they can do large scale sizes. and if you need architectural size, you'll pay dearly. and that is done through professional printers. . as for getting up in the air with people to train with, then pm me.

Cheap Saitek X52 Pro Joystick?
july865 replied to killersurfer501's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
saitek offers factory refurbished. check their web page. -
as a side note just in case you have any further issues, it would be of great help to others if you can create your system specs and place them in your post. go to the "user control panel" and ad it there.

not canopy scratches. battle damage on the canopy and front windshield.
-
i am not in front of my computer to give you a screen shot, but from what i remember, i place an ever so slightly small dead zone and just as equally so slightly curve. all done with in game settings. you do not want to run the "target" software as it wipes out the 'built in' profile. you will need to program the joystick hat switch within the game to make it your trimmer and not the pan/view. (if you have trackir). this is basically plug n play.
-
im sorry, i should have made my post more clear. Hijack got it right. after a sortie the exterior damage model i think i great, why not damage model the canopy front glass (or what ever they call it)
-
is this modeled. even chips or spider cracks?

ethereal i do have that 2nd monitor. with maybe a flight plan on it or teamspeak. the issue i have is that when i need to scroll the page or access some other portion on the 2nd monitor the game minimizes. just wondering if there is a way to keep that from happening
-
afaik it is the responsibility of the pilot to know where he is on the map and where the AFAC is at all times. one issue arrises is that if you are on the edge of 37T/38T, you will have to manually add it. as far as your sex life is concerned,..... TMI..

Possible to add structures to JTAC missions?
july865 replied to pbpullman's topic in User Created Missions General
before some posts the equivalent of the famous rtfm. open one of the created missions or one that was previously created by someone and see how it was structured. that will get you a good start into mission creating/building. at least it has for me. -

for some strange reason Tars is not picking up the mic switch select on my TM WH to select what radio to use. it stays on the default UHF. if i use the keyboard to select the radio, then i am able to select and transmit using keyboard. i was able to gather this bit of info from the 'tars-plugin.log'. . 20:10:20.027 [58a9c00: 499] Error during PTT event. 20:10:20.027 [58aa298:1274] TS3 Error: (null) 20:10:20.177 [58a9c00: 499] Error during PTT event. 20:10:20.177 [58aa298:1274] TS3 Error: (null) . i have uninstalled completely removing all traces and re-installed, still have same issue -
