Agreed, but shouldn't it also take more than just the single RB15 that now takes to sink a Neustrashimy?
-
I tried some ship bombing in the F-14 using mk-84 bombs.... it took me 5 hits (hits confirmed and counted in tacview) to sink a russian frigate, the mk-84 is supposed to have a 428 kg warhead, vs the 200 kg of the RB15 and 225 kg for the Harpoon. Fuze set to N/T, but as I understand fuze setting right now has no impact in DCS on how bomb damage targets. This was in a multiplayer online server, don't know if this has something to do with it.

Attached a link to a really good DIY design with aluminum profiles, 3D printed parts, ball bearings, hall sensors and an Arduino, excellent construction instructions: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3475445

how to create graphic of hotas controls
pacastro replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The idea is to get the graphic profile creation automated, like the TM target software does but getting the info directly from DCS joystick configuration files for the people that don't use target and use button assignment inside DCS. In the joystick configuration files you have the buttons assigned and the description for the actions assigned to each one, so someone with the knowledge could do some programing to automatically fill a graphic profile template with the info extracted from the joystick config file. These graphic profiles usually are just 1 page so it's easy to use for reference, if you print screenshots of the keybindings it could be several pages long and not easy to relate the button number assigned to the actual physical button on the actual device if you don´t remember the number for all of them. -
how to create graphic of hotas controls

+1 This would be really useful for me too, I also use direct key assignments from DCS. If someone with the knowledge could make a program to create a graphic profile of your controls from the DCS joystick configuration files would be awesome. Regards -
Excelente diseño y construcción!! Felicitaciones!

I play at 3440x1440, using a 7700K and a 1060.

Hi, currently I'm using a head tracking device to move my view around the cockpit, I'm using Opentrack or FacetrackNoIR for the software part. I have tried to disable/pause the head tracking software in order to get access to snapviews without much success, I have searched the forums and all I have found states that when you pause or stop the tracking you regain access to the keybinded views with the numpad or mouse,. I have only achieved this by opening FacetrackNoIR app and stopping the engine altogether, but you can't do this with through a shortkey.. you have to do it manually switching to the app and clicking your mouse on the stop button. You can assign a key to start/stop in the shortkeys, pausing the head tracking but that doesn't give me access to the numpab views/snapviews in DCS. With Opentrack nothing I do gets me the numpad views/snapviews working. Here, defining shortkeys to stop tracking is the same as clicking stop with the mouse, they effectively stop the tracking but in DCS the normal views with numpad or mouse won't start working. Any ideas what I could be missing?? I have not changed anything manually in the server.lua or snapviews.lua files. Thanks Pablo

Seems to be related to Nvidia drivers, very similar to this other reported problem: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=239675 I had updated Nvidia drives to 430.39 recently, and that's when the crashing started. As suggested in the linked thread, I rolled back to my previous drivers (425.31) and no more crashing up to now...

Same here, using F6 to watch missiles hit ships game crashed, several times watching my own Mavericks hit or other player RB-15F hit crashed the game. Last time a couple of minutes ago I was watching from inside my cockpit looking to the left and when my maverick hit the ship... crash! Same server. Following is a link to a track that shows the crash, port at Novorossiysk, grid DK05 has the ship: -17:50 a Viggen launches 2 RB-15F -18:42 ship gets hit If you are watching the RB-15 in F6 view the game crashes. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hyn3tialgdkidqi/Through_The_Inferno_CCS_v70n_westIP-20190427-010522.zip?dl=0 dcs.log-20190427-051253.zip

[BUG] Cat Right Engine not catching on startup
pacastro replied to Dangermouseb51's topic in Bugs and Problems
Still present in last update 2.5.4.30038. -
After last update 2.5.4.30038, in a multiplayer server when I'm autostarting the f14 in a carrier the INS align procedure gets stuck in INS alignment 7 and won't go any further from there. Plane park braked not moved an inch from spawn point.

Adding one that had occurred to me a couple of times: Locked a target using PAL mode, and Jester tells me "Hey, that's a friendly!"... waited a few seconds doubting a little, and then Jester tells me "That's a mig28" which was the enemy I was looking for. Also happened with a Su-33.

The music file "MainMenuLoop.ogg" is the one that's supposed to "loop" and play again and again, so you should place your new music file under this name in addition to the intro music file "MainMenu.ogg". Can't help you much here, but my guess is that you can try to raise the gain levels of your theme music or something like that with a sound editor.

I still to have this problem sometimes or DCS takes a long time to close. I have found that when DCS freezes on exit, if I switch to my Head tracking app (FaceTrackNoIR tracking IR leds on my case) and Stop the tracking, DCS closes immediately….

Saludos Pablo
