+1 Thank you sir, well presented points that I feel are representative of many discussions amongst the people within the groups I fly. It’s very pleasing to hear DCS are working on squashing bugs and improving the base functionality but like others, I’ll be holding off on purchasing new modules until these updates are in place, proven and well established. Personally, I’m not against paying for updates or increased functionality, provided it’s actually complete and fully tested before release.

Great suggestion FragBum, also think about joining an online squadron that has the airframes you own. A lot have training servers or locations on their maps that are less hostile.

Hi, I couldn’t get it to work either until I used this option. "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Server\bin\DCS.exe" --server --norender -w Server1 I have two servers that appear to work but the only couple of issues I’m having is.... A) I don’t know where to install my Mods (in the main DCS.openbeta_server directory or do I put them in both the new Server1 and Server2 directories) B) The Servers start fine but the missions don’t automatically start so I have to manually start each mission after both servers start. If you have any ideas, I’d be keen to hear them as I haven’t had any luck finding answers online anywhere. All the best mate.

Hi all, I appear to have a recent issue in that the F10 menu randomly doesn’t always show all my MIST items. E.g. it won’t show CTLD or CSAR options. (But "current JTAC" will show) Jump out of that Huey into another aircraft or into spectators then back into the same Huey and it’s fine. Other times it all works fine from mission start. (Single and multiplayer) Been trying to resolve this for a few days now with no luck but last night I was on a different server with a different mission and someone else told me they have the same issue on other servers and missions that use CTLD and CSAR (and obviously MIST) I’ve down loaded all new MIST & CTLD & CSAR file and reloaded them just to check that one of my changes to the files wasn’t the culprit. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have an outstanding day all. :-)

Thank you Gents, you are correct, I want to use the Lantirn and Tacan at the same time. Just checking to see if it was already an option that I wasn’t aware of... Hopefully in the not too far distant future if Heatblur has the opportunity... Have a wonderful weekend:-)

G’day, first off, fantastic airframe... Thank you Heatblur.. :-) Just wondering if there is anyway to remove the RIO Lantirn joystick as it completely blocks out the rear Tacan when installed for me in VR. (similar to the option on pilots joystick). As the "in Sim" lantirn joystick has no actual function that I’m aware of, it would be nice if it could be turned off. Ava Good’n Y’all.

Hey mate, I’ve been there... The advice I got was to go into the windows device manager and go into every item in there and if it has a "Power Management" Tab go into it and make sure "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is NOT ticked. It’s a long process, so set aside some time but it worked for me. Reduced my crashes by 90% Adding new devices and I think windows updates can turn some of them back on so it’s a maintenance thing as well every few months for me. I had this issue as well, what fixed it for me is every time after you finished entering a new way point, turn the steer point selector knob on the top right of the TID to another random way point, then turn it back to the correct way point you just set up. Has worked flawlessly for me since doing this. Hope this helps, have an outstanding day. :-)

Hi Bobd, I assume you are referring to the UH-1H, if so, it’s a known bug. Only the M60 door gunners work at the moment. Forward facing co-pilot mini guns appear to be working fine for me though. Have an outstanding day mate..

+1 for the can’t read the WPN Selector Drum... And +1 for the Lantirn joystick blocking the Tacan... I’m sure heatblur will sort this out in time but what a great fun aircraft... :-)

Just sharing my results in the hope it may help identify the issue. I have this same problem and have spent considerable time playing with this using a refuelling tanker with TACAN as the target, so it’s a known heading, altitude, distance and then closing from 30NM till at the tanker. I have found that if you don’t use half action at all but instead just wildly guess when your HCU cursor should be over the target on the DDD and go straight to full action, if you have guessed well it will lock the target every time. No need to change radar elevation or settings from when the target first appeared on the DDD. This is easily done when it’s a tanker flying straight and lever, not so easy when it’s a Mig but have found this method of guessing far more successful with Mig’s, etc than trying to use half action.
