are you using that hdr mod or something ? because your screenshots look alot better than my graphics. thanks. -
Could someone upload me their Bazar/effects/WaterNormals Folder ?
-
hi, allready had them on all planar. also tried active planar, didnt make a difference. with "shadows" i mean "relections" btw. - the reflections of the clouds on the water are flickering.
-
Allright, i got it fixed now. Mountains are now ok / without artifacts. However, it didnt solve the flickering of the cloud shadows over water. is there a fix for that aswell ? thanks.
-
ok, i tried to insert the file with the cdds explorer, but now the game doesnt launch anymore. can u upload your LandTexturesTGA File with the new texture allready included ? thanks.

thanks for your answeres. i will try the exchanged ccds file this evening. :D

well, i had the issue before i installed the latest driver. i then installed the latest driver in hope it would solve the issue, but it didnt.

Hi, i am experiencing a rendering bug with mountains. i managed to make some screenshots to illustrate it: As you can see, there is a horitonal split in the shading of the mountain. it is not static, it moves around - sometimes slower and sometimes very fast. also the tightness changes. for example sometimes there are 5 or 6 very close and less wide stripes. it also changes very quickly. i use the geforce 8800 gts with latest drivers. additional, if have some bugs of similar kind with water, hower i did not manage to get a screenshot of that to illustrate. it kinda flashes sometimes and the clouds get closer to the ground for a split second. dont really know how to descibe it accuratly. any ideas ? thanks.

not entirle true. at least in my country it depends of what you take a photo. if you take a photo of someone-else's property, you need acknoledgement of the property owner to distribute your photo.

Goofy things to try in DCS! *minor spoiler alert*
GuntiNDDS replied to Yskonyn's topic in Screenshots and Videos
so then how did they do the landing in the "fun with trains" movie ? is it CI ? :D -
this is what i do before i start the game: Kill any uneeded procceses Disconnect from Internet (to reduce workload of software firewall) Start game with affinity tool. I also overclocked my cpu from 2.4 to 2.6 ghz, but i dont think it makes a difference :)

you can activate civil traffic, which adds civil cars and trains to the world, that move around on streets and railways. other than that you can put units, civil or not civil in the mission editor. apart from that, theres not much going on, for example there are no people running around in cities or stuff. overall the world looks like "simulator world", just from the colors, and not all buildings on a map are actual 3d, some are part of flat texture. i think what you should do to get a feel about is, is watch some videos on youtube. there are quite a few and they show the world pretty well. in regards wether you should buy it, the answer is: yes you should. :)

what a fantastic site ! Thanks for posting ^^

now since i began creating more complex missions, i'd love to have a button on the mission editor, that would show you a selected area in 3d aka how it will look in the game.

Question regarding Trigger Rules
GuntiNDDS replied to GuntiNDDS's topic in User Created Missions General
thanks. tried it and worked :) -
Ach so ist das. Und Punkte bekommt man für Abschüsse ? Oder auch für andere Dinge ?
-
hi, how would i go about to create a mission where a group of vehicles start moving along their waypoints once i enter a trigger-zone ? i tried the following: - create a group of vehicles on the map, with option "on street". - create some waypoints - create trigger zone - create rule: once player within trigger-zone, activate group vehicles however what i suppose happend in the game was, that the group allready started moving from the beginning of the mission, and not after i entered the zone ?

Danke.

Review: Black Shark gets 72% by GameStar
GuntiNDDS replied to Jigsaw's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
comming up with a final "score" for a game in a review is a difficult and often not very well executed task. the reviewer gotta make a choice wether for example "realistic airodynamic behaviour" is more, less - or equally important as say "beutifull environments". and off couse not only theese single points, but also how you apply them against each other are very subjective and differ from player to player. Thats why generally i dont care about the score they come up with in a review, but read what they say about the game. for example lots of games get a better score because they have "great campagins". however, i dont really care about campaigns. i like games without a fixed path to play through, and where each time i play them, they are different. so if a game is very campaign-focused, to me personally, thats more of a negative point to it. -
