For me there are definitly uses for the rockets in the sim. For example when a bunch of enemy units hide inside a forest i usually first fire the rockets and only afterwards scan for enemys that survived and then take them out one by one with the cannon. Another example is the mission from the deployment campaign where after you shot down the building you got to chase and destroy the car. Sure it could be done with Vikhir or Cannon too, but i find it more awesome with the rockets :D I only speak from my sim experience and i have no clue how rockets work irl.

Why are theese features from TBS not in DCS ? They dont seem to be "military secrets" or something: Bushes/Foliage/Stems Better looking/realistic explosion & fire effects Civilists Reflections inside the cockpit (off the shval & abris screens) Thunder & Rain-Peel (from Window)

got to agree to some of boberro's points. specially i found the music to be disconected from what happened in the scenes. However, looking forward to trying your campaign once you got it completed. -
Off course it is my oppinion ^^. As is everything i post, am going to post, and have been posting(as long as my oppinion has not changed in the mean time) Wether or not certain statements are "needed" in an environment where people come together to state their oppinion on a certain topic is controversal. I believe the more input from different angles, the better. If some readers judge certain statements to be stupid, that is well within their options of how they can consume them and for everyone to be evaluated on their own.

I don`t think anyone at ED feels "pressured" by a forum thread of people demanding a quick patch release. They have other forces that put pressure on them, but certainly not a few hobby simmers from their "secondary market". Nothing from with threads like this tho. Its their public forum and people like to express their anticipation of the product and future patches.

Hey. I been wondering whether it is moddable to increase the lighting that the landing light/ spot light produces because i can barely notice any illumination from it on the ground when i have it on, no matter what angle i try. If it is moddable, where would i look ? Thanks for any input.

well, if they added modelling of trees breaking line of sight, they will also need to modell ground units being able to hear you and make 'guess shots' through the trees.

this is what i do: (for taxiing) slightly pull up the collective slightly move the stick forward accellerate to around 30-40km/h (tho i do not know how fast/slow someone would go in real life) main steering with rudder bit of cyclic input into the steering aswell also when i do a turn i first slow down by moving the cyclic back. -

Hi, well doen videos. GJ ! Since you asked for suggestions for tutorials, I would like to learn more about airport procedures. Involving things like: - which way around do i taxi to the runway, - what speed do i taxi at - how do i correctly park the helicopter on the parking-lot - what systems can i keep on / have to shut down before requesting groundcrew services like refuling/rearming - when i am told to land on #3 landing square on a farp-pad, how do i know which one number 3 is - what things should i do pre any take off - what things may i never do at an airport/farp :D ... think you get the idea :D Keep up the good work :P fly safe o/

in one of the promotion videos for "the battle simulator" you can see a higher definition ka-50 cockpit. it even has reflection of the stick showing from the glass of the shval monitor and stuff. edit: here it is: look from minute ~3:05 :)

so then, what are the features of the new sound engine ? from the vidoes it didnt sound that spectacular, tho i guess thats because of their compression. -
