  1. Hi. I have finally replaced my x52 with the CH Fighterstick. I'd like to assign shkval movement to the 8-way hat/pov, but it doesnt get recognised as an axis. It is set to "Use as POV" in the CH Software. I dont get it :D How do I make this work ? Thanks :)
  2. i dont see the 3d breakthrough in computer games yet. its an old idea and and old technique. the last 3d-glasses hype is just a few years back. this comes and goes. there are still technical difficulties or "glitches" and there is still the screen boundary restrictions. maybe if we go waaaaaaaay back to the 3d "helmets" that had actual displays inside them, it might be an experience worthwhile. the shutter technique is popular because it is simple. but this simplicity is also the reason why it keeps failing. there is just too few control over what appears at which distance in a scene.
  3. making mods, designing missions and administrating servers..? :D
  4. just buy a big screen, than you dont need to poke it with your nose :D
  5. In case you didnt know, you can have free 3d without glasses and special monitors. All you need to todo is keep one eye closed. After a few seconds your brain will adept and add the missing information. Since we are used to see things in 3d, the result is a 3d representation. The effect is best if you are very close to the screen, avoid the borders. :) But dont tell real3d and dolby that i spoiled it :)
  6. Very good mod. Thanks.
  7. Mustang, you were absolutly correct. Reverting back to driver version 9.10 "fixes" the issue. Now off course one can only hope this will be fixed in the newer drivers.
  8. I am wondering if there is some parameters that could be tweaked to get better quality mip mapping. I am forcing the best quality throught my graphics driver and yet i am not satisfied by the quality of non-close terrain. even tho in comparsion to my first flight simulation game, i should not be complaining: *G*
  9. i don't have an ffb and never do theese. when you trim often manuvering is very easy. imho.
  10. it is entirely possible the "virtual wife" and everything is indeed modeled in the simulation. you just never see her.
  11. I also have the X52 Pro currently. I am not very impressed by it. For the price it did cost the build quality should be better. The Joystick developed "play" within the center region of the X,Y Axis and in general is not very precise. What i like/d about it tho is the form factor and button layout. it has many buttons and is very comfortable to hold. i am aiming to replace it soon by a CH Fighterstick.
  12. doesnt really matter. this is not the "player is the hero" kind of game, but rather a simulation. The mission target was accomplished. Doesnt matter that you died. Not that that is not a tragedy tho ! If you want to take the game seriously tho, you'd now have to quit playing it. *G*
  13. i have just tested setting the water to 0 in the ini. same effect as before :( will try reverting back to old driver on the weekend.
  14. in the mission editor: 1) ability to set routes that "loop", so once a unit reached the last waypoint in its route, it will proceed to the first wayoint again and repeat 2) the abilit to set not only 1 route per unit or unit-group, but multiple independend routes. then being able in the rules section to set a rule like: if <condition> then set group <group> route to <route> the units in that group will leave their current route and take the nearest path to the first waypoint in the route defined in the rule, and then follow the waypoints within that route. -- *route=collection of waypoints
  15. Thanks for the info. I have just ordered mine. (Vario Pro/USB) I feel i dont require the brakes.
  16. i am not 100% sure what you are trying todo, but i understand as follows: modifier = enables alteration while being held down switch = enables alteration through switching between n states (e.g. 1st click-> mode1,2nd click->mode2,3rd click->mode3...
  17. hi, yes i know about the ch and saitek ones and have read reviews on both. i was however not really convinced by what i read. thats why i will propably go for the simped ones. within the ebay link that got posted here there was actually also a link to a review that also spoke pretty highly about the product. Thanks for everybody's input.
  18. i see. thanks for you input. i will try the 9.10 driver and also the water ini-tweak this weekend and post back with my findings.
  19. Cool ! :D
  20. very excited about the comming videos :D please make sure to implement a paypal payment option into the ecommerce system, for people without credit cards :D
  21. not the issue for me. the issue i am describing only affects the rivers, not the ocean/ocean coastline. they look like the normal rivers, but their texture appears to "pulsate" between a dark and a lighter tone on a high frequency. if near at a part of a river, that part looks normal (with the animation playing) / must be very near. that is why i thought it might be connected to the mip-mapping. i will try to water=0 setting tommorow after work to see if this is connected to the glitch.
  22. Not yet, no. i will try that lateron. However i would prefer not to degrate the water quality too much since i have a system capable of running high details at good framerates.
  23. Cool :) i was wondering about the weight of it. does it provide enough self weight so that it will stay in place and not slip away, or is some kind of mounting or fixation to the ground required ?
  24. i have filled it out :)
  25. Hi, thanks for you input. Do you own them yourself ?
