  1. Just had this happen while flying with a friend. A few days ago his accidental click on grayscale stuck his IHADSS in grayscale mode, and unboxing the option wouldn't return it. Tonight, I did the same thing, and when grayscale was unboxed it was stuck in grayscale mode, but then boxing it gave me stuck IHADSS symbology. Had to grab a new bird to fix it both times. I wasn't running with track on to record it, but will try to line up some recording time soon.
  2. Well, that definitely did it. I had a couple old versions still in the add/remove programs, even with the older sound modules. I removed everything and just installed 2.6.7 and sound module 2.36, and now the F-15 is giving me kicks in the butt. Thanks @Bazz_Mulder!
  3. I'm having an issue with the F-15E on 2.6.6. and 2.6.7 (released this morning in my time zone), keeps throwing Index was outside the bounds of the array, both in MT and normal flavors of DCS.
  4. Oh yeah, I'd love an in-cockpit adjustment binding so we don't have to unload, change, reload & check, rinse and repeat. Something like the seat height adjustment bindings would be great. Huh, didn't think of checking that one, thanks!
  5. Same here in VR, this setting doesn't change the ring placement at all on the BS3.
  6. I had the same issue last night loading up the cold start training. I checked Task Manager and Resource Monitor and nothing was happening; no disk activity, barely any CPU % used, etc. Everything just hung on the loading screen for 10 minutes. DCS was still responsive, even asked if I really wanted to exit the program when I tried to close it, though it never responded to my affirmative answer. Can't provide logs right now, at work, but you're definitely not alone.
  7. Yeah, I thought I called out that I was using the VR window constrain, but here's a screenshot for proof. I can still find my cursor outside my game window sometimes if I'm not using that Use DCS System Resolution option. null
  8. Hey @BIGNEWY, just coming back to that other thread (https://discord.com/channels/542985647502393346/1022558646477000744/1022923248259842110) about the full screen VR, you wanted me to report back how it was going. Overall it's workable, but I've had to tick the checkbox to use the flat resolution to full screen in VR because the keep cursor constrained VR option doesn't always work; sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, most times I find myself clicking on something behind the game. Using the flat resolution for VR works, but the only down side so far is once I'm in DCS I have to remember to leave something open on the desktop if I want to alt-tab back out for any reason. Without having an open app on the desktop, it won't let me alt-tab to the windows taskbar or just to the desktop. Usually not a problem since I have a few apps running that create a presence there like SimShaker and OpenKneeboard. Anyway, I saw the thread was closed in Discord since it's being investigated in the forums, but I haven't found the forum thread yet, and you'd wanted me to report back when I had some info. Overall, it's workable with some caveats, but not as smooth and easy as using the Alt-Enter full screen ability from previous patches.
  9. OK, got a fix for VR users at least. Under the VR tab, check the "Use DCS System Resolution". You're locked in at that point, but you get a full "VR" screen on monitor, and you can still alt-tab to another window if you need, just can't shrink it.
  10. Removing alt-enter has hobbled VR. Now we have a window that doesn't cover the whole screen, and a cursor that won't stay inside the game space. And even when confine option was working, you constantly had to fight with it taking the cursor back to the game screen when you needed to alt-tab out and fix something or look something up. And the new *Full screen option doesn't work for VR at all. It just ignores. So that's not even an option either.
  11. Not having alt-enter affects way more than just FPS issues. When running in VR, we're stuck with the thinner render in the middle. I can't speak for others, but I personally detest the "confine cursor to game screen" option because it won't let me tab out to reach other apps when I need to switch between game and some other program. The way to fix this was leave that cursor confine switched off and alt-enter between full and half screen when needed. Now I'm locked to half screen and forced to use a lesser option that causes more issues, or I easily lose focus on the game window and lose the cursor. Why even remove functionality like that? You can't anticipate all the ways it'll break someone's setup. Leave the option to us. Edit: Even better, confine cursor to game window option is checked, and the mouse still goes beyond the border of the game window and DCS loses focus. So, now we have no alt-enter to max the VR window, and confine cursor isn't working to keep the mouse inside the game border.
  12. SimShaker for Aviators Beta Version 2.3.10.0 Beta SimShaker Sound Module 2.26 If I try to launch the sound app manually at "\My Documents\SimShaker for Aviators\SimShaker Sound Module.appref-ms" I just get this error that it can't download the app. Everything was working last night, then today I started getting this error. Edit 1: I've grabbed 2.28 of the sound module from the download site and I'm installing now. Edit 2: 2.28 downloaded and installed, still the same error message. It's trying to download the app from that location at AzureWebsites and can't get there. Edit 3: I was able to find the app at \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Andre\SimShaker and launch it there with success. So now, how do I fix the SSA reference link to point to the working app reference instead of the broken one? Edit 4: Fixed. I found the actual install, not the ClickOnce reference, at C:\Program Files (x86)\Andre\beta SimShaker Sound Module. Once I ran that, it inserted a new entry in my SSA for "Beta SimShaker Sound Module". When I choose that one, everything launches fine on the new 2.28 version. I'll figure out where the old reference is stored and rip it out so it doesn't happen again.
  13. Trying to launch Simshaker and getting "Cannot download the application". Downloading http://dsteam.azurewebsites.net/simshaker-sm/release/SimShakerSoundModule.application did not succeed. + The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. Anyone else getting this error?
  14. This has been a game changer (ba-dum tsh ) for me. No more SteamVR has crashed messages, and DCS is playable since the last patch borked the delicate balance I had working in VR. I still get an occasional DCS OpenXR crash on startup, but give it another couple of tries and it'll fire right up and run great. My only oddity is, I can no longer use F11 while VR is running through OpenXR. It works fine in flat screen, worked fine in SteamVR, but with this new setup something is blocking the F11 option in the comms menu. I can mouse click on F11 - Previous Menu, but any attempt to hit F11 on the keyboard or use VoiceAttack to send F11 to the game just get ignored. Has anyone else experienced this when using the comm menu to interact with AI wingmates, ATC, ground crew, and mission options in F10? I found a line in the opencomposite.ini file for the "for the "performanceStats=disabled" line that says, "; If enabled press F11 to start stats capture to file". It's disabled, but does that mean opencomposite is stealing the F11 key from DCS and then "disabled" just means it's ignoring that keypress? If that's what is happening, is there any way to disable F11 in opencomposite and give that back to DCS?
  15. I'm having this same experience, except on my side he keeps locking targets way off to the left or right even when I keep pressing and looking forward. Sometimes he'll lock a target way off to the side while I'm looking at a hostile right in front of me. One thing I'm really missing is the ability to disable air target locking like we got with Petrovich in the Mi-24. Playing in MP is chaos because George and Petrovich like to lock up buddies hovering over the area anywhere in your forward 180 field of view instead of IFF and ignoring them for the delicious enemy target about 7k off your nose that you keep telling him to lock up. Overall, having the AI is nice, but please give us that wonderful checkbox to disable air target locking if we prefer to concentrate on the ground in MP. Eventually, it would be nice to have the AI disregard friendly targets entirely.
