  1. That is running FC2.0? if it is, then that is because the new sound engine that it is indeed multicore. Anyway, in Vista/W7 should be way faster.
  2. Sawamura, that is with LO:FC 1.12, too old engine it even doesen't use 2 cores in Vista or W7 (tho you were loosing more fps than anyone, dunno why). We are talking here about DCS/FC 2.0, that is way faster in Vista/W7 than in XP AFAIK. I think we discussed that.
  3. Well, yes I forgot!, the sound engine will use both cores even in XP. But FC will continue to run faster in Vista/W7 due load in 2 cores.
  4. So, meanwhile, any chat we can use? (that doesen't slowdown like HL does)
  5. The second ftp works, the first one might be overloaded, dunno why it asks for a password. Or use the torrent.
  6. Exactly, it's not that XP isn't multicore capable (it is), the thing is that DCS/FC2 is not optimized for that, so it relies in directx10 and graphics drivers to load the second core.
  7. Hostia perfecto, con el Su-25 siempre terminaba perdido XD Gracias!
  8. La versión descarga, si los test van bien, han dicho que saldrá mañana o pasado.
  9. So, I suppose FC2 works like DCS:Ka-50 in multicore usage matter. Am I wrong? If I'm right, then those with Windows XP will have just 1 core active while those with Vista or W7 will have 2 cores active (if played in full screen, I think in windowed mode doesen't work, have to try). This means more fps in those Windows (from 20-50% more) Also, if you're thinking about upgrading windows, do it to a 64 bit version. Just a tip for those who don't have DCS:Ka-50 :)
  10. So, does it still work? if not, where do we go? Staying in HL even if FC2 is not compatible might be a bad idea. If you run a non compatible game while HL is active the chat keeps running and you loose fps. Or at least it happens to my computer (2 core,4 GB ram,etc etc enough). This is why, perhaps, when you launch a HL compatible game it switches off the chat. Somebody should try, but I don't think it's just me. So, any irc channel or something to stay in touch?
  11. So...where's Glowing Amraam trailer? :)
  12. Waggs, do you know something about the DCS:Ka-50 compatibility patch? Oh thx for the hard work!
  13. Yahoooooo english version in the weekend thx!
  14. So, can we expect to play the english version during the weeked?
  15. lol and the english one? ok I get it, you're tempting us XD I won't fall for it. Gonna patiently wait BTW, what about the DCS:Ka-50 compatibility patch?

  17. You shouldn't have any calibration button if you use the new Saitek drivers. It's autocalibration.
  18. Blackshark is not sold in Impulse. If you downloaded the setup.exe and the data.cab, put them in a directory and execute setup.exe. That is all.
  19. Pero eso es el DVD. La versión de descarga saldrá antes según dijeron.
  20. Well it's kinda of weird for me too. I read a thread, but when I return to the forum root, it still shows as a thread in a subforum is unread, but it is already read.
  21. I don't know the answer but I think if everything is the same (even computer name), you won't need to deactivate-reactivate. But who knows. But, anyway, forget totally about XP and go to Vista or 7 64 bit, it will give you a big boost on fps because it will use up to 2 cores of your cpu. XP will use just 1. Also, you won't need to reformat every x months anymore, perfomance will be the same (neither you need it in XP, except if you put a lot of crap and in that case, you another testing partition/OS...) Really.
  22. Drivers -> set texture filtering to high setting
