BTW, that marine drop trigger is pretty simple, it can't fail. Could the server have a lag/load spike and "eat" a trigger? or perhaps servman (we use it), in a determined situation, help or make that happen?

There is no Starforce driver in this Flamming Cliffs version (it's called Starforce Proactive, it's a more modern Starforce and non intrusive). It uses a number generated by your pc configuration. Perhaps daemon tools tricks windows into thinking it has virtual devices, and that makes Starforce think you changed the real hardware thus it need to rebuild another "number" for the new pc configuration (just guessing). I remember using virtual dvd drive but not from daemon tools, and it didn't mess with Starforce, perhaps that program is not as intrusive. But, again, there is no driver, so you can't really uninstall it. Also, I suppose there is no problem installing the seasonal pack after 1.12b. About 24x7 customer service I agree with you, but since ED is a very little corporation I suspect they have to cut here and there to be able to put simulators like those in the market. I'm not defending them, just thinking in a possible scenario. Anyway, community is usually faster anywhere you go. Safe flights!

Mac have a pause/break key? if not, you need to re-map the command to another key in options-control. If the problem is that no one key is recognized, mhhh, I'm a bit lost. PD: I think Newview is a program, not part of DCS.

You might want to check i5 7xx, those are 4 core cpu, 8MB of chache, cheaper than i7 but without multithreading (not that you'll be using that much...). Also, as far as I know, new i5 and i7 automatically overclock cores in use when there are cores not used, so it might be similar perfomance that a 2 core cpu with higher stock mhz (DCS, as it is now, uses 2 cores)

Anyway, you have LockOn 1.02 and bought the download version of Flamming Cliffs 1.1b right? well if this is correct, you don't have any Starforce thing in your device manager (because it uses an new Starforce scheme without drivers), if you have then probably it is from another game or application. Or perhaps you bought LockOn Gold? specify please. Also, .exe are not in the desktop, those are just shotcuts. Flamming Cliffs replaces LockOn shortcuts. If you can't see them refresh the desktop (press F5) and they will appear. Ok steps are as follows (for Flamming Cliffs download version): - If you have LockOn with mods, de-install the whole game and delete it's folder, then reinstall it without any patch (plain 1.02 version). Don't install the game in /program files. - Install Flamming Cliffs, execute it and activate Starforce with the serial number (Starforce window will pop up). -- If you have Windows 7, an error of Starforce incompatibility will pop up. But, for example, take I succesfully accomplish mission 00, do I go to 03 directly, right? the sentence "50% to DoW_Mission__01 or 02" is a bit strange; does it mean if I fail 03 I get back to 01 or 02 depending on score (stalemate or fail), right?

Talking from utter ignorance here, but I suppose with stationary targets you don't need to stay pointing with the laser all the time. When the spiral trajectory is little enough, the missile most probably will hit the target even if you reset shkval and go away. With moving targets, most probably you need to stay poiting the laser all the time.

Might be better to use PNG or TIFF with looseless compression, JPG might induce some artifacts with little numbers and letters in the map. Perhaps with the higher resolution JPG version is not noticeable, don't really know. Just a suggestion :)

What a minute wait a minute...wich CD/DVD do you have? LockOn or LockOn Gold? The latter includes Flamming Cliffs so you obviously need to install just 1.12b patch. If you have vanilla LockOn cd/dvd you need to buy 1.1b (Flamming Cliffs) and install 1.12b patch.

I would start by defragmenting and then updating SATA and chipset driver (get it on your motherboard website).

Hi! we did it today again. This time, the weird thing is helicopters (four superstallions) reached Krymks airbase and did a fly over but marines soldiers have not appeared neither the text announcing the drop showed up (the trigger didn't happen). Neither appeared some shilkas spawning in front of the airbase that yesterday did, but that must be a random trigger. Anyway we enjoyed it a lot, thou this second time and due random triggers, there were not many enemies as yesterday.

Might be the video editing, for example the sound is a bit delayed too. I wouldn't worry too much, ED said in general it's going to be as fast as LO:FM (with better graphics) and faster than DCS:Ka-50 (due not clickable cockpit)

Glad it worked! My X-45 did the same a few weeks ago. First 30% of physical travel didn't account for anything. I couldn't calibrate it either (because it's auto-calibrate). The thing is, I've tried everything with drivers, cleaning registry, etc. but I finally decided some sensor was bad (after 8 years anyway). It's a common fault in X-45 BTW, many people reported it in the last 2 years in saitek support forum,check there if any "remedy" works for you.
