Switch mirrors off. If you're in windows XP, fps should be lower. Win Vista and W7 should have 20% to 40% more fps (if you have 2 or more cores in cpu)

Perhaps you cleaned registry or reinstalled windows at some point, and windows lost track of LO installation in the registry, thus FC2 does not detect it (just guessing). Try to install original LO in any folder, just for the sake of FC2 installer detect it. After installing FC2 I think you can delete that LO temporal installation you made. Again, just guessing.

Is it me or multyplayer is way smoother now than in LO:FC or DCS:Ka-50, even under high ping (200ms) conditions? way less "warping" around. Is it just my imagination? did you put some kind of inter/extrapolating system?

You know what, that head woobling makes aircraft with standard flight model more like if they were advanced flight model. Not that they are, but the perception is somewhat similar. SFM lack some inertias, where that head woobling seem to compensate for the lack of. Dunno if that was part of the intention or not, but it's kind of cool.

Except scenes and civ traffic I think, that is hardcoded in the mission.

Mhhh you say you're using vmware, I don't know if Starforce works with it, I bet it doesen't. Original LO doesen't use Starforce but Flaming Cliffs does. You could try to activate from Starforce webpage or from a pc with a non-virtualized windows if you manage to do that. You can also use bootcamp and install Windows there, this way it is not virtualized.

Yes. People buying the russian version that relied on english FAQ and info got mistaken. There is no need for LO or LO:FC because UBI was not involved in Russia. I think even russian LO:FC1 didn't need LO to run. International version is linked somewhat to UBI, so that's why you need in anyway LO. All of this, AFAIK.

If you're installing the russian version, you don't need anything, not even lockon 1. The russian version has it all (they were not bound to UBI in Russia). Anyway, that error, dunno but it's like the exe got corrupted while downloading. Why don't you try to download via torrent? Integrating Mumble perhaps? maybe would be also a good idea for the future doing a Teamspeak 3 plugin, because most communities have already their Teamspeak2 and will go to TS3 when it's out of beta (and they don't use it just for DCS). A plugin with all radio physical features modelled, like interferences, mountains between aircrafts stopping communications, radio damage, channels, etc.)

For the future, know that there is a plugin for TS3 that allows to embed an external irc chat inside (as any irc channel, also viewable from outside). So and irc should be nice, both for those that use will TS3 and for those who not. And yah, a chatroom embeded in the same ED website could be nice.
