To give you a simple startingpoint in addition to the obove mentioned coordinated turns: In general for harder turns my go to is banking to 60° and pull. If I climb I increase my AoB and if I decent I decrease it.

Bombing Calculetor not working since latest patch.
Yannick Pancake replied to TBear's topic in Bugs & Problems
You have a 0° Dive, so there is no Dive for the DIVE Toss. -
Jester cant see targets beyond 10 miles
Yannick Pancake replied to SpecteRED's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
It is even possible to survive an Engagement with the F-14 in the Nevada Map Quick Mission against an F-14 and even shoot it down. But it comes down to good SA and usage of the AI AWACS + understanding of the APQ-120 -
If I'm correct the DMAS F-4E will get the Loran

Since today's patch didn't include any HB Updates, is there any timeplan on when the next patch is going to be released?

My understanding of the "locking" is, that you just say your Radar and the Weapons Computer where the ground on the Boresight is. You then have to move the Pipper, and therefore the Boresightline, over the Target. Once you press the Pickle Button the System enters the distance to target to the bombing computer. In theory you can lock the ground anywhere, however you might have different return strengths on different areas. So to get the best precision you should "lock" the point you intend to use for the measurement, so most likely your target.

and @Bremspropeller The color of the grass also comes down to where you are... or more ON what you are... If you are in Brandenburg, especially south of Berlin you have mostly sand as the ground, and so the grass is more brown and dry in the summer (We even have an official desert there...), however i've never ever seen grass this dry in Niedersachsen (Lower saxony) ... So if you really want to go down that rabbithole, you can't compare the DDR/GDR with the BRD/FRG regarding the tone of the grass.

That are some great news, Thanks! Do you Guys plan on adding them to the Bombing Table as well?
-
I've tested them besides the one above with altitudes of 400, 450, 700 and 1200 ft. All pretty much on target, but more errors the higher I got (as anticipated). But no problems of hitting a target with a string of bombs. I would say I'm confident of destroying a truck with 4 bombs at 450ft agl and 500kias. But as mentioned above, I don't use the Laydown as intended with a visual IP, since I don't have a Human WSO + we simulate the F-4F and it never had Laydown, however it had something called CCOR in Hi and Lo. So we use it to replicate the functionality of the CCOR Lo mode. Like I described above, I set my desired drop parameters in the Bombing Table and adjust my IP to TGT range so that I get a depression of ~150mils. Then I just fly towards the target and one the piper is above the target, I pickle, and most of the time hit my intended target.

@BJ55 Sorry, I wasn't at my PC for a bit, bute here are some pictures from a Tacview - Clip. was using 450 TAS and 250 ft MSL, 2000ft IP/TGT Distance for I think 136 mils (Just use what it gives you), Bomb interval 0.16s and Bomb 2 on TGT. I pickled with Pipper on center of the Target area and Bomb 2 hits pretty much where I hit. nullnull

As far as I know, it was a "should" I can try to make a Clip for you in the next days, when I'm back home

This happens when you reconnect after a disconnect. You need to cycle the AAR switch before reconnecting.

This might be a strange Bug just with my PC and DCS Settings, but in the Rearming Menu I cannot select, or not even see, all Bombs on the Inner Wing Pylon. It ends with the GBU 10, but the MK 84 or GBU 8 are outside of my screen, but I cannot scroll down. Only if I remove some Weapons I'm able to see the other Bombs. nullSee the Screenshots below to see what I mean. This might be something for ED but maybe HB also can do something about this or anybody has some sugestions for me. null

Hey, I was wondering what A/G WRCS modes does the DMAS have? I have so far identified the options besides the AWRU ones and Direct are Blind, CCIP, DT, G, RKT and AGM-45. I assume Blind is more or less TGT Find? CCIP,DT and AGM-45 are self explaining. RKT could be Rockets and G Gun. Are those ones like "CCIP" for these modes? Would that mean we are loosing the DL, L and Offset modes?

"Official" F-4E Livery Discussion
Yannick Pancake replied to LanceCriminal86's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
This is what I meant, even though it's not a 55, the HGU 2 looks close enough to me and certainly better than the DCS 55 -
F4 Phantom Ground Speed indicator
Yannick Pancake replied to SuperTonique's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
If you have the ns430... there might be an option to show groundspeed. But it's popup only. -
The CL light is on, so it appears that you are carrying something on the centerline.

"Official" F-4E Livery Discussion
Yannick Pancake replied to LanceCriminal86's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
As far as I know it's actually a HGU 55 Version, the HGU 55G, but we don't have it in DCS and it looks pretty close to the HGU 2. The only real optical difference I can tell is that the visor adjustment is on the left side, not central. -
If I'm not mistaken, capability wise it was pretty much an Aim 9 seeker mounted to the windscreen.

Loading F-4E dlls is sometimes taking very long
Yannick Pancake replied to danvac's topic in Bugs & Problems
For me reducing the pre-load radius to ~65.000/70.000, deactivating modules I don't intend to use (I have most of the installed, just deactivated in the options, with only the maps, tech, and f4+f5+uh1 left active) and loading an F4 instant action on the map I fly on With this I have loading times between 30s to less then 2 minutes, mostly less then 1 minute. Even on larger missions. -
100% I personally would love to see Wittmund AFB in the North, just because I loved watching Phantoms phlying in and out of it until their decompressioning in 2013 wich was pretty much what got me into DCS and aviation in general. Soooo "objectively" this IS the most important airbase on the whole map! Jokes aside, I think no matter what Ugra does, they will have a good reason for choosing whatever they do, and I will respect that. Nonetheless I would love to see many airbases (+roadbases) scattered around the whole map and not only in some parts of the map.

I personaly would also like to see the north sea coast. A) for the Navy Guys to have their carriers somewhere and B) up there was/is Germanys main navy homebase (possibly a strategic important target) and also in case of a cold war gone hot situation, the Nato planned on using the harbours at the north sea to reinforce and resupply the Nato troops in Germany. It was also expected, that there would be a part of the fighting in the "Norddeutsche Tiefebene" (North German Plain). So purely from the cold war perspective I would rather like to see the north sea than the alps, just because it would make more sense to me. This doesn't mean I wouldn't like to see some green, snowy mountains but I think it's less relevant than at least parts of lower saxony and perhaps some of the BeNeLux States.

Hydraulic pressure too high
Yannick Pancake replied to Jowen G. Bruère-Dawson's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Do we have any news regarding this "Bug"?
