I personally agree, this is a Digital Combat Flight Simulator, if i wanted to fly Civilian stuff I would have bought FSX, P3D or one of the other titles. In my personal opinion, trainers are a complete waste of space, yeah they are good to jump in and have a mess about, but that's it. I bought the L39, flown it a few times with dual seat but that is it. There are quite a few air-frames in DCS that are still not finished, they should be finished off before moving to another project. Cheers Specter

From a personal perspective I wouldn't mind paying for the upgrade, I appreciate everyone is expecting it for free, however, IMPO ED have put a lot of work into the new map and someone has got to pay for that time and effort. I mean if I buy a BMW tomorrow I don't go back to BMW next year and say, her upgrade my car for fee :) I know how long modelling and texturing takes, for instance the V1 Rocket Model / Mod Naked and I released, it took me probably about a week to model and texture that so for a whole map it would take months :) just my two penneth :) Cheers Specter

HI All Absolutely loving the Harrier. Just a quick question, I have a Thrustmaster Warthog. In the Axis Commands section there is the TDC Slew Horizontal and Vertical mappings, I have assigned these to the nipple on the Throttle, but they don't seem to work, I have ended up mapping the TDC slew up, down, left and right to a 4 way. Is the Axis commands supposed to work or is this still WIP for this function? Many thanks Specter

I have just registered for the Dogs of War forum to post such an issue. I just purchased Tacview the day 1.5.8 was released. What i have noticed is that in 2.1 when going to the special tab in the settings I can see Tacview information when clicking on the left menu in 1.5.8 when clicking tacview on the left, nothing is being displayed in the right pane. so currently Tacview doesnt work in 1.5.8 but works fine in 2.1 Anyone got any suggestions? I am running the Latest Beta 1.7.0 beta 2 which i have downloaded, I have also removed the release version just in case that was causing a problem I have also re-installed the beta version. I have also confirmed that the export.lua is correct and all files are in the right places Thanks Specter

Bloody Excellent news ED - Many thanks I just wanted to say thanks Wags for the update in today's news. Very informative. I am so looking forward to the 2.5 release as are many others. Hi Ciribob Our squad upgraded to version 1.4.1.0 a few days ago and have tried to use the latest version over the last couple of mission nights. We have en-counted the following issues. When using push to talk it seem that the radio messages are being cut off. Not sure why this would be. We bypassed this partly by holding the push to talk a few seconds before talking and releasing a few seconds after talking. We have also experienced broken radio messages even when sitting on the same pan talking to each other. Having reverted to version 1.3.4.0 the issues disappear. We continue to appreciate your efforts, any more info you require just drop me a line and we can do some more testing. Many thanks Specter

527MB for me in 2.1. 903MB for 1.5 I had to google what the hell a DBox was. IMPO a complete waste of resource when we are waiting for the Harrier and 2.5 but this is my personal view.

the whole game is really unplayable in 2.1 and 1.5.7 with any substantial units in the game IMPO In the Rift that is. ED really need to take a look at what is going on. Our squad flew last night as we do every Sunday night, trying to fly a Huey at 7 frames a second in some cases it not really fun IMO And I have a top of the line system I built myself. Come on ED pleeeeeeaaaaase sort it out.. Cheers Specter

Hi Sith Sorry, Was a little frustrated after a long day at work :) Anyways, I think the thing that frustrates us the most, coming from an end-user perspective, rather than the bug itself, is the lack of communications from ED and the fact its taken this thread for some action to be taken. I would be perfectly happy with "Hey chaps, we have had a few issues internally and are struggling a little with the net-code, things will be a little rough until we get things fixed but please be patient and we will get this resolved as soon as possible" They would have set expectations and the brunt of people would, i should imagine be perfectly happy. Anyways, thanks man, hope they get it sorted soon as missing DCS :) Cheers Specter

We started a custom mission the other night I was in a Huey, squad mate was in the Gazelle, I flew next to him and parked and waited for him, said i would follow him when he took off. Sat there for 15 mins watching his chopper just sitting there with the engine running, eventually said are you ready, he replied, i am already at WP1, where are you, i replied sitting in front of your helo watching you.
