i believe this has been reported already

i personally havent expereienced this in 2.5, in the old 1.5.8 it used to happen. Flying with the squad last night someone mentioned this and i twisted my head and the clouds didn't rotate for me, maybe something to do with the could settings?

IMPO flying the Harrier at low level is a little lethargic at 500 in 2.5, doesn't really feel as though you are going fast at all. I have tried both TrackIR and the rift, while the rift does feel a little faster TrackIR doesnt.

When did he mention this?

yes a good improvement with the server joining

some people are experiencing long load times due to the building of the caches, if you can get hold of the mission you want to fly then open it in the mission editor, click fly and sit in the cockpit of an airframe, then when all smooth, exit the mission and then go find the MP server and join it, should allow for faster loading, (Dont exit DCS though as this will clear the cache)

I do hate to say it but maybe its time for a little upgrade? I appreciate people are on systems that they used to play DCS on, however, with the progression of the sim and the new eye candy this will require more horsepower. Just the same as a game written in 4 years will probably require more than one written today. but maybe a good idea to have this setting, especially for VR users

i believe that DCS is doing cleanup of cached files upon exit. My system stays black longer say 2 to 4 seconds after a 2 hour session playing online.

I agree, as its a little unhelpful when trying to look through threads without a mention in the title that this applies to 1.5.8 Would be better to start a fresh IMPO. Cheers Specter

One of the recommended steps after upgrading was to remove your options.lua file. then launch DCS, which will re-create the file, i suppose with additional settings. Did you try that? I never run the game in Full Screen myself, windowed mode fills the screen anyways and a LCTRL and ENTER swaps to full screen if required Cheers Specter

I have also cleaned up the Eagle Dynmaics folder and removed the 2.2 direcrory I have also cleaned up the saved games folder so only have the DCS.openbeta folder now Cheers Specter

Hi I have attached my settings, pretty much maxed everything to be honest Cheers Specter

I am using re-shade 3.0 which seems to work very well, settings of Gamma to 1.8 with DS on Cheers Specter

Just tested this, I am able to select single units by clicking them on the map, however when you are in view unit list selecting different units that are in a group only selects the first unit workaround for this would be to select the unit group either by clicking on the unit on the map or a unit within that group in the unit view list then top right use the < and > to cycle through the units then they highlight yellow. Not seeing this issue, works for me in 2.5 after the upgrade to 2.5 did you remove your options.lua file and launch the sim and setup your options again, thats the only thing I can think of at the moment Cheers Specter

Hi All Starting a new mission in 2.5 Caucuses map, on the coalition screen moving Ukraine over to the Blue side. Then trying to place a SU-27 unit, of Country Ukraine shows the unit as Red, setting said unit to client and running the mission, cannot select that unit for the blue side Is this a know bug? if so is there a workaround? No Mods installed. Thanks Specter

yes i have also seen this, not a big issue but maybe something to add to the list, if not already reported of course

Maybe they didnt know at the time, or were working on the upgrade process who knows, the main thing is we are getting it when they said. I was hoping for today myself, however understandable they are releasing next Wednesday. :)

Does it matter. The main thing is we are getting it Just install what you need and update ... simple

I have flown this mission with Suntsag (Naked) and this is an extremely well thought out and immersive mission, hope he releases it to the community. Cheers Naked
