  1. Did you check your AMD card settings outside of the game? Most settings seem to get overwritten by the game but Vsync and also wait for vertical refresh are settings that get through and can really mess things up. Also make sure that frame rate lock didn’t get turned on.
  2. According to your log there are several mods causing errors. This does not look like you did a repair. Several of them are texture and skin related. Did you delete the FXO and Metashaders 2 folders prior to repair? I would try that if you haven’t. Then run the repair. When it asks about what to do with the extra files tell it to archive them, not to ignore and leave in place. This version has all kinds of crashes, flying under ground and under water etc. from skins and mods. I was slowly adding back mods and started having so many issues I got rid of them again. No problems since.
  3. That would be a mod and most likely the reason for the crash. Either that or there are remnants of a mod somewhere causing the crash.
  4. If you read the instructions on how to post a bug, it says you must post a track file. Otherwise they can’t see what your settings are etc. and won’t investigate until you provide one.
  5. In my hornet right now. I don’t have the circles or weird shadows
  6. Thanks. I thought it was FX something!!!
  7. Thank you very much!
  8. That is strange. I can’t say I have noticed this. Have you tried deleting your meta shaders folder and the other one (can’t remember what its called, FXI or DXI?) since the last update?
  9. I run gamma 1.8 and I have stars on all maps.
  10. If I had to work there, I would require therapy. I can’t be around that many people.
  11. ??? Despite the fact that Wags said Hornet updates would be switched to a monthly schedule months ago? And despite the fact they said this, they have continued releasing updates and hot fixes much more frequently than monthly? EVERY SINGLE FRIDAY we get these threads from folks that don’t spend the time reading the information that has been given to us, and then complain there is no communication
  12. Mission editor........
  13. See quote from Wags in post #2. ED has been communicating with us every week, sometimes more than once a week. Anything but silent.
  14. Mine is the 5. Maybe that’s it. My Yaw axis looks like an inverted V. Where yours is flat. That’s really interesting. Seems like you would have to move your head a lot where I move mine a few inches and Im looking at the tail. I also use the regular track clip. Not the pro.
  15. I run the TIR with smoothing maxed out. And I have dead zones set for both X and Y Axis. Between the smoothing and dead zones camera stays locked forward unless I make a deliberate movement. Once I do move and look at something between the smoothing setting and running it on the precision setting, I really don’t have any wobble even when zoomed in on a target outside the cockpit. You just need to spend a little time setting it up in the TIR software and then again in the DCS controls for dead zones etc.
  16. Ok, I can accept that. Wouldn’t know as far as VR goes. I’m still waiting for VR to catch up with the clarity of HD monitors before I take the plunge. I’m addicted to the way DCS looks on a HD on a HD monitor on maxed out settings. Once VR gets there ill be getting it.
  17. No, none of this is true. I can’t imagine flying without TIR. Button pushing is very easy, and there is absolutely no wobble. Folks just don’t set them up correctly and they say stuff like this. Which in turn makes people not want to buy such an important tool to fly in DCS.
  18. This is a pretty recent video (2013). I’m just guessing here, but maybe that wire is for something in current model Harriers that our version we have in DCS does not have.
  19. I learned how to use the weapon from his video. Not sure where the confusion is. He had his waypoints set as ground waypoints in that video not Nav waypoints up in the air. It’s not a bug. This is a early access product that is still being heavily developed. Of course there isn’t going to be updated literature every time they update. Do you want them finishing the product or changing the manual constantly. I’m sure once the product is released, they will provide a complete manual to go with it. For now, the vids are great, and very clear on the procedure.
  20. Lol yes. This is exactly what I was saying. The coordinates you enter into the weapon must be at the elevation of the target. If you are using too mode you have to go into the HSI DATA page and change the elevation of the WP you are assigning to the weapon.
  21. I know that they implemented several of the UFC functions in the last update. EG the ALT button. You are supposed to be able to turn off Betty temporarily and some other features.
  22. Old pop that’s Negative. This is a GPS guided weapon. When you enter the coordinates into the weapon, you need to tell it what the height of the target is, not the height of its release point. If you put 6000 ft as the coordinate height the weapon thinks the target is 6000 above MSL. The HT function tells it what height above the target you want the canister to open. HT affects dispersion of the sub munitions. I believe that the max height for the canister to open is around 2000 feet above the target. However you have really wide dispersion. I always set cluster munitions between 700 - 1200 feet depending on what the target is.
  23. Once I have something locked I have the same issue. It wont slew if its fixed on a target. I hit the NWS, most times it takes 2-4 hits, and it will undesignate. Sometimes it it stays on the TPOD and I can re slew to a new target. Sometimes it kicks me to the DMT. A lot of the time when using the TPOD if I’m tracking on a target, and the aircraft blocks the view of the target in a turn, it kicks back to the DMT. I have to go back to the TPOD, take it back off standby, and select TDC again. Gets frustrating.
