I always use TACAN to find the nearest field. You can also use the F-10 map. Use the ruler tool to find distance and heading to airfield. Then zoom in and run the ruler tool down the runway you intend to use. This will show what heading the runway is. Turn on the TACAN for that runway then set heading on HSI. Intercept the heading a couple miles back and turn into your approach. If no TACAN for that airfield set a manual waypoint for the center of the runway. Then set your heading.

DCS bought out Belsimtek so they are one in the same. I just bought the Huey and the KA-50. I like them both. The Huey is simple as far as systems etc. go. It takes a lot of practice and you have to actually fly the bird. It has limited weapons and no INS navigation. So you will either be using ADF a lot or do like I did and buy the NS-430. The Black shark is much more capable for combat and sling loading stuff. But you cant transport people. It is also very intensive to learn to fly. It has a lot of systems to learn like the A-10C. It has extensive auto pilot systems and awesome navigation systems. So they are both difficult in their own ways. Both are a blast. It just depends on what you want to do. Or do like I did and get both during the sale for the price of one.

What is the native resolution of your screen? You need to set it to that. Otherwise you get these issues with the GUI. If your PC can’t handle the native resolution you need play in a windowed mode or get a smaller resolution. It’s not strange. 1280 divided by 768 is an aspect ratio of 1.66667. The issue is that is not the resolution of your monitor.

Open the main DCS file path. The Manual is in a folder there. Same with all aircraft manuals. For the Editor you click on the red planes which kinda look like a red gumdrop. Select those with the mouse, it will pull up the aircraft information and you can change the type with a drop down menue.

You need to change the aircraft in the ME.

Try running a repair. Let it remove and archive extra items. The error appears to be in your Mods folder.

DCS’s rockets are not broken. If they work for me, then there is some other factor. You might have a mod that’s breaking rockets for you. Or as you said, maybe its the server you are on. Skins broke at a lot of stuff with the last update. Maybe that has been resolved with todays update, I don’t know.

I have never experienced this. In fact today I flew several missions that were rocket intensive. Have always been able to fire all of them.

I don’t know if it has been mentioned. I also don’t know if it would matter or not. But, could it be an issue of having the HUD caged or not? Until recently I was unaware of this feature. Seems like it might cause an issue?

BS. You know for a fact that it’s their priority. I hey spend a ton of time making sure we know it’s their priority. You are only disappointed because you project your own unrealistic expectations on others.

They were planning on it. It didn’t happen. It doesn’t say Promised, or guaranteed release anywhere there. Saying you are planning on it makes it a goal. Much different than promising a specific release date. You are trying to fabricate the meaning of his sentence to fit your expectations.

Negative. Quite the opposite. My comments are toward the folks who are frothing at the mouth, and raving mad lunatics, who constantly complain about not having their TPOD fix. They get on multiple threads a week and complain about the Hornet not being finished, even though they fully understood that they were purchasing an unfinished product. They hijack and ruin every thread on the Hornet because they are incapable of accepting reality and believe that the world revolves around them. They are entitled to their TPOD. They read into posts and videos put out by ED and fabricate and bend the info to fit their hopes and dreams. And when they find out that their fabricated unrealistic expectations weren’t met, they FREAK out and start all over again. Hopefully ED will just ban certain individuals from threads on the Hornet when they start acting this way, so the rest of us can talk and learn about the aircraft, without having every thread hijacked.

OMG. They will tell us when it’s ready to release. This is worse that crack heads trying to get a fix. Literally. They are easier to deal with. Stop panicking, stop hyperventilating, and dry your tears. Bunch of infants.

Using the scenery removal trigger removes static vehicles, trees, buildings etc. on land. Does it not work on water? There is a bug with this feature at the moment. Check out Suntsag on YouTube. He just put an example out this morning including the bug.

I cant say it looks any different. My settings plus screen shots from PG and NTTR. Both DDI's are curved as far as I am aware. So you get shadows. Maybe you shadows setting or gamma setting has something to do with iit.

Not my cup of tea, I prefer to stay more realistic. But, you shouldn’t worry about it being disrespectful to the sim or anything like that. You love the game enough to make some mods that will make it even more enjoyable for yourself, and then share it for others to use. I say, even if I don’t really care for those mods in particular, that all our community mod makers are awesome and help make DCS what it is. Fear not, and good luck with your project! (I might even give them a try!)
