Sedlo I just have to say, I like your missions far better than most of the paid campaigns. I thank you for your service to the community. That said, I know you must spend untold sums of time making these for us. I for one would be willing to pay for the campaigns. You deserve compensation for the massive amount of time invested. I don’t know how that works with ED but even if you had your own site where you pay and then get the file transfer. Again thanks for all the work. I’ve done some voice over work for one of the other mission developers. I like doing it so if you ever need another voice, send me a PM. Will work for new missions lol.

I would think this issue is because it is very early. The gain and other settings and auto focus are not modeled yet. The only reason objects are somewhat more visible at night has nothing to do with how bright it is. The only difference is that during the day the sun heats the ground and surrounding objects. So there is less of a temperature differential. However things like the ground and rocks loose heat slowly. In real life, thermal imaging systems have different settings you can mess with to adjust the sensitivity and now most have auto calibration function. The only real limiting factor is how bright the user screen is to see it. So if the sun is at your back and reflecting off the screen it will be harder to see than at night when you don’t have light sources messing with the screen. Just like using your phone during the day.

Thank you for your service. And thank you for taking the time for testing and posting on these threads. -

Yes he just posted a couple above yours. -
Thank you!

Ok I agree with all that. Not sure what could be some about The the multi player tactics short of banning seekers or enforcing an artificial hard deck that would boot you like some servers for blue on blue kill. But that’s not realistic either. Adapting to different tactical situations is something that’s real. But lotering around in valleys isn’t really. And the damage models and word stuff should be fixed.

Besides bugs or WIP items, because bugs will get fixed and WIP will get finished, besides classified items, what specifically is not modeled. And none of the “well this aircraft was capable of carrying xxx and the Mongolians put it on theirs. What specifically is not modeled for the aircraft that is specific to year, lot, block, and country of origin? They are pretty clear on all this. So an argument for the capability of a Australian FA-18C does not matter if the product is a US NAVY FA-18C lot 20 aircraft.

Ok so this is a very serious bug. I can see how it would completely ruin your day, like a squadron getting halfway through a long mission and then having this ruing the operation. I’m not saying this should be taken lightly at all. But, OMG I was snort laughing and had tears running down my face watching that video. Especially when the sonic booms started from the external view. Sorry, again, this is a major problem.

Auto Air to Air Refuelling (no explainations for it)
KTFBGB replied to Rhinozherous's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I don’t know why I never thought of that. Slow it down:thumbup: I’m going to try this. It’s really strange. I can tank first try 90% of the time with the Harrier. It’s easy for me. With the Hornet, I can’t do it. I plug for a few seconds and then overcorrect. I’m excited to try this to get the proper feel for inputs with the Hornet. -
After using them extensively today I’m convinced the release geometry is off. The release cue is a few seconds off. It overshoots the laser. If you switch to CCIP or manual release about 6 seconds before the auto cue gets to zero, it grabs the laser.

Yes to both. It will track and hit moving targets
-
What you have to remember is that in real life pilots have a very specific mission when they take off. The load outs that we take in DCS would never happen in real life. For example it’s normal for a Hornet, which can carry much more than the harrier, to take off with 2 fuel tanks and 1 JDAM and 1 Maverick. Or 1 JDAM and 1 GBU. They will carry winders and 1 or two AMRAMS for self defense. This is because each pilot is assigned 1 target. That’s it. The Harrier is no different. It has a specific mission. If there is an enemy air threat they would have CAP sanitizing the area for the Harriers providing CAS. The point Of the harrier for the marines was for it to be forward deployed and operate out of a FARP to be a quick reaction aircraft to infantry on the ground. The harrier will carry one or two weapons and rotate in and out with other Harriers while refueling and reloading, at the FARP, if needed.

I found the same. Bombs work great for the mission I created for TPOD training. Saw the mission thing and started having the same issues as being reported here on old missions. Even on missions that were built after the last big update a couple months ago.
-
Maybe people that run mods are having issues like last update?
-
Or just do it like normal. Level and flat.

Here is a track dropping LGB 10,12,16. Perfect every time. Sorry for the crappy flying. The load was super asymmetric and I was trying to hurry it up for the track. I circled stuff with the mouse cursor as I was doing it to show a couple things I missed at first and gave me issues.LGB TEST PG 08-02-19.trk

I’m on latest beta. Volume works great for me.

Did you make sure the code was input for each individual bomb? I had two times that for whatever reason, the first bomb took the code. I released the next one and it went wild. Checked the stores page and the rest of the bombs had 1111 for the code. I entered 1688 and had to step to the rest of the pylons to enter it. I’m not sure what makes all stations accept the code sometimes while other times you have to step through each one. I forgot one more time and now it’s stuck in my head.

[REPORTED] F/A 18 LGB won't switch from CCIP to Auto?
KTFBGB replied to Grifter's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok to that I have no idea if that’s modeled correctly or not. -
[REPORTED] F/A 18 LGB won't switch from CCIP to Auto?
KTFBGB replied to Grifter's topic in Bugs and Problems
It remains in CCIP until a target is designated. Then you Change back and forth. -
Maybe there is an issue with drivers or something between the new processor and the VR?

Cloud coloration, layering, and shadowing glitch(?)
KTFBGB replied to Pesanta's topic in General Bugs
Ya the second one is what I was getting at. That’s strange as I don’t experience that layering and things popping in and out. Wish I could be more help but I got nothing.
