I’m not sure what the conditions are but there were a couple times I had to enter the laser code for each bomb. I’m sure it’s something I was doing. Could that be the issue? Once the target is designated If the bomb is properly set up the dud que will go away and allow a release

Just for more info, on PG map, I’m nailing targets anywhere from 15k - 25k with all gbu variants. I did have a hard time till I figured out the TDC depress to set the target point. Since I figured this out none of mine have missed. I also set point track because it seems to limit the pod walking off the target even if the target is stationary. I don’t know if it makes a difference but part of my setup before takeoff I always change to precision and change the coordinates to the other setting as well, can’t remember what that’s called. This might make absolutely no difference but I’m having great success with the lgb’s.

That’s weird then. You have a nice system.

How much ram is on the 1080? Did you update the drivers for the 9900k?

[REPORTED] Inconsistent accuracy between GP bomb types
KTFBGB replied to vctpil's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ummm....... we’ve been discussing the MK82, not any of the GBU series....... -
Have you tried clicking the box that says “hear like in helmet”? If I remember correctly it dampens the engine noise level as if you were wearing a helmet but all the radio and warning tones etc are not affected.

[CANNOT REPRODUCE] Mirrors Not Reflecting anymore

Lol. Rotate them down then.:megalol: -
Op have you adjusted your gamma settings higher? Have you done the advanced monitor setup through your video card? I know night visuals can be improved, significantly, but my nights are not as bad as what you are showing.

I tested again this morning. At least for AMD cards you can not apply settings to the card and turn off settings in game. The card will not overwrite the in game settings. That’s why there is a large FPS boost. One finding i had. As you increase settings in the card you get subsequent drop in FPS while getting no MSAA or Anisotropic filtering in game. Basically the card is applying those settings then the game overwrites it afterward it seems. I maxed out the card settings and had none selected in game and had a big drop in FPS but all lines were extremely jagged. Switched back to zero on the card and in game and no difference in quality was observed but frame rate went back up to 90 -140 range. Applied old settings in game and was back to normal 40-80 FPS.
-
After each release you have to designate the target again. If you want to drop 2 on waypoint 2, then you have to re-designate waypoint 2 after selecting the next JDAM.

I have found that the page file helps. Did that some time back. In my experience and what I have read with others is that DCS does not recognize any MSAA or Anisotropic filtering from my AMD card. I tried this as well a while ago. Ya I jumped from 50 FPS at high settings on everything to 140FPS. However when I looked at any straight lines it was painfully obvious that no MSAA or Anisotropic filtering was happening. That’s why I had a huge jump. This is confirmed by many others as well. Unless recent updates allow DCS to recognize the external settings? My system gained no FPS gain messing with trees or preload radius. This is a RAM function. Actually when I lower preload yes I save RAM usage but drop FPS because I’m constantly rendering terrain instead of preloading it.

It’s not actually zoom. It’s a narrowed field of view to mimic focusing on a small area. Lots of posts and videos explaining this.

That’s a lot of complexity there. Couldn’t the program just detect the native screen size of the monitor and apply it that way?

fixed [REPORTED-MINOR] Aileron travel with flap sdown
KTFBGB replied to bkthunder's topic in Bugs and Problems
But the real life hornet drivers that acted as SME’s on the development of the module and one hornet mechanic on here that actually worked on the hydraulic systems say that the behavior is correct. So who is right? -
I find this thread interesting, but have no dog in this fight. I am utterly uneducated on this stuff. But wouldn’t the scaling not care what size monitor or resolution you have? It seems to me that it works on individual pixels like everything else. So the change would be proportional to your pixel size?

Is that hornet the same block as what we have in game? -
Cloud coloration, layering, and shadowing glitch(?)
KTFBGB replied to Pesanta's topic in General Bugs
So I don’t really know anything about this kind of stuff but I had a thought, maybe it’s dumb. The video was super slow motion. Could the slow mo frame rate be higher than what the game was running? So if you were getting 60 FPS in game, if the video was running at 61 or higher for the slow mo wouldn’t you get clouds and other stuff jumping in and out. Also any time there is a graphics issue, I always delete the fxo and meta shaders2 folders. Lots of times this fixes stuff like this. -
That and most people sit too far from their monitors and tv’s. You can even find charts that show optimal viewing distance for different size screens. But basically you need to sit close enough that that the edges of the screen are all the way out to your peripheral vision. You should be able to see the whole screen barely, and need to move your eyeballs some to focus on the edges.

Copy that. Thanks for the info.

Doesn't A-10C feel more flight capable in real life?
KTFBGB replied to Worrazen's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
LMAO. What makes you “feel” this way? The real A-10C has a cruise speed of 260Knots and a max do not exceed speed of 400 knots. As in during a dive don’t go that speed. You are feeling that the aircraft should go fast enough that it would cause the real thing to break up. -
For those of us who can’t or don’t know how to translate the Russian forums, could you paraphrase what they are saying about it over there? I am interested to know what the consensus is over there.

I have seen many different explanations about in game zoom. The zoom level is a realistic representation of focusing a 2d screen like you would focus in a 3D world. The zoom levels basically represent a pilot leaning forward and focusing on a 2 degree patch of sky. It doesn’t magnify the vision per se. Imaging if you are just casually looking around at nothing outside in the yard. Then you hear an airplane coming. You turn and focus on a specific spot in the sky and you can see it. Where as if you continually just keep looking up and not focusing on any particular spot in the sky, the object has to be much closer before you just happen to see it.

Maybe @Nineline will see this. However, if they have deemed it No Bug maybe not. -
You sir, made my day. That was hilarious lol.

Now you've gone and done it. Be prepared for the flood lol.
