  1. Cause you gotta have 4 fuel tanks on the 25 in order to give them a chance to catch ya :megalol: ***DISCLAIMER: Just joking around***
  2. In for option 2/3. Great product.
  3. Горящие Скалы in Russian makes more sense ... Flaming Cliffs (out of context) is, I guess, a little less definitive. I think the idea was that the Su-25 sets "mountains" on fire... kinda, maybe, somehow, what if, else if, then, what, where? :pilotfly:
  4. Flaming Cliffs 2: The Wrath of Birds Kills: Birds - 5,321 R-27ER - 3,120 (Watch out Eagles ;)) AIM-120C - 1,210 Other - 249 Would be cool to track the amount of birds killed, hope we do not have any virtual pilots that are green peace activists. :)
  8. Quoting Scart from Russian side of the forums. Perhaps you should do more research about F-15C being 1/3 of what it is... :music_whistling: The point everyone of you is missing is the fact that it is impossible to create a REALISTIC performance of any jet. This is military tech, things aren't exactly kosher in terms of availability of information, judgment calls have to be made, assumptions on how certain systems perform, and guess what even peer pressure is also a factor. Availability of documents on the US side is far more open than for example on the Russian side. Unlike the US, Russian military companies didn't bother to "advertise" to the public to gain support/financial investments, and only now they are learning to do so. While in the US every time I ride the metro and pass by the Pentagon there are full blown advertisements about F-35s, Tankers and other BS... guess what, do you really honestly think they are advertising 100% factual specification? So, my point is that in every single decision that is made in order to so called bring "reality" to the game there is a judgment call that is made... and that judgment call can go a long way towards overdeveloping one or the other and this effects both sides. The way I see it, and like someone has previously noted, a bunch of F-15 fanboys got together and started flooding ED with various documentation in order to make F-15C better. Great, what we have now is an AIM-120C that entered service in like 96, and based on some sources a variation of it (C5 or whatever) only entered service in 2000... and other various improvements. For example, can someone here with certainty say what engines are currently equipped to the SU-27s? SU-33s? SU-27SMs? that are currently serving in the Russian airforce? Nope, (was actually an argument earlier on the Russian forums) lack of documentation. Can someone with certainty say what algorithm the 27R, 27ER follows to account for maneuvering targets and chaff? Nope, lack of documentation. Can someone with certainty tell us AIM-120C's characteristics? that is currently in service?? Besides "oh its better" "oh its 20-30% faster and has longer range"? Judgment calls are made, and if you are hoping for a world of realism in simulating military systems, all it is is hope... sorry. Go ahead rep me into the negatives, seems to be a popular thing to do around here, for stating my opinion... kthx.
  9. Q: When will Flaming Cliffs 2.0 be available? A: We plan to make the upgrade available for download from the Eagle Dynamics web site in January 2010.
  10. There are many features that could have been added to the Russian planes to make them more "realistic" as well. Yet, those changes are ignored and not taken into account. For example, count down to missile impact that is displayed on the HUD when firing a missile on the SU-27 is not there. Has been there and is documented in the manual for the SU-27SK (export version!) not even talking about the Serial version used in the VVS. Another example is MiG-29S being able to fire on two targets simultaneously. Another example is SU-25 not being able to properly bomb a target due to the way the HUD is static and can not be adjusted at an angle, so the only way to bomb is to dive bomb... What is disheartening is not the attempt to make F-15 more realistic but ignoring the improvements that could have been brought but chosen to be ignored to the other planes in the game. -Sov13t.
  11. FC2.0 = F-15 Strike Eagle simulator... Looking more and more like that... 380+ pages on the Russian speaking forums arguing with ED about numerous changes that are completely biased. So, just get used to it... or don't buy FC2.0. its sad.
  12. Uh oh... I never said such thing... and yet you are quoting me ;)
  13. Say if Ka-50 had chaff... and RWR how would that help? Chaff is disposed but the chopper due to its slower speed would be still very close within the vicinity of the chaff... it can not pull heavy G maneuvers with high rate of speed to confuse the missile... with its amplified RCS (due to blades) it will be very hard to spoof the missile... so the only benefit of an RWR would be to know that you are in trouble and either hide behind a hill or start ejection procedures?? Or am I missing something? As far as hyperlobby it was mentioned that the ingame server browser will not have "lobby" for chatting where everyone can see each other and such... which is a very useful feature for holding community events and up keeping other social aspects.... To me that is a big negative of having that server browser.
  14. I see... didn't know... that sucks... :noexpression: You said "Which makes this possible", so due to the lack of proper radar model it will be possible to be less vulnerable? Or on the contrary more vulnerable? Guess its up to team work to provide proper escort of the sharks. Thanks for clarification!
  15. Assuming FC2.0 is going to be modeled correctly, radar lock on a KA-50 will be almost impossible by airplanes due to their small RCS and their relatively slow speeds... so IR missiles and guns are probably going to be the main weapon against choppers both of which require close distance... and risky maneuvering by the jet... only heli pilots that leave themselves in wide open and at high altitudes will be vulnerable, others should be pretty safe...
  16. Кол-во ДО/ЛТЦ в ГС2.0 будет соответствовать кол-ву их в нынешнем симуляторе ДКС Черной Акулы.
  17. Gives me hope :)
  18. http://games.gamepressure.com/game_info.asp?ID=14288 looks like the date changed... sorry if repost
  20. Thanks Sherlock. :music_whistling: Not a single bit of technical info is available. No one on the Russian forum even dared to make such statements that you are proclaiming...
  21. As an alternative, I use gun oil (Rem Oil with Teflon Lubricant) on my stick to keep it smooth. Works great. Good tips!
  22. No one is innocent... especially when it comes to military tech. Its the way it is.
  23. You are a bit touchy it seems... relax??? In the case with F-35 and its engines as an example, the only reason it has not been further developed in Russia was because of $$$, unlike the U.S., Russia does not print $$$ for the rest of the world, thus no freedom to add zeroes to military contracts at will, so it is purely an economic win. This is why 4C Hajduk is saying what he is saying (research further on Yak-141 if you would like):
  24. Обстрел МиГ-29С двух целей одновременно как это позволяет СУВ данного ЛА тоже не будет?
