High Halden to Beachy Head Screenshots

living the dream! :) -
Only been at DCS for about a year and numbers seem to be as high as they have ever been in my timezone (GMT)

given equal pilots my money is on the P47. I've been very impressed with the P47 turn rate compared with say the P51D vs 109K4's in flat turning. The only thing to master is the slow speed yawing stall which can be useful to shake opponents off your 6 but you will need some sort of clearance to recover from it otherwise your going in.

Virgin Media will still let you down at somepoint. Just from my own personal experience. ;)

Can anyone share their view settings to lock in the Field of View in the jug? I tried to copy the same method as my spitfire and 190 and it did work temporarily. Returned to fly it some more a few days later and it was messed up with the engine block being enlarged. Guessing this was to do with one of the values being off. If there is a better way of doing this then I'm all ears. Otherwise I'm zooming in and out too much for my liking. Thanks

P47 is a breeze, only thing to mention that being heavy she holds on to alot of speed when coming in hot so I usually find myself having to pay more attention to bleeding off any excess speed before the landing approach. I ran out of fuel and had to deadstick a landing the other day, that worked well for slowing down, best one yet.

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion

ditto :pilotfly: -
I'd just like to thank the team for their efforts on this. We did a quick recce this morning and the coast line, cliffs and bases look superb. Would be nice for one or two landmarks in London but they are by no means essential as the fighting will largely be done over water or northern France / Belgium.

looks like it's going to be half of 2 weeks? Will be very Tidy to launch it on D-Day. :) More importantly for Bozon it means that the Mosquito will be next in line.

I don't think any of them disappoint to be honest. Try them all whilst still free and hopefully that will give you an idea on which one to get. Or just get them all half price. :)

How to know if your in open beta servers list?
122sqn Bruv replied to Mingusthered's topic in Multiplayer
The three most populated WW2 servers are LFDM, Storm of War and Buddyspike Normandy. If none of these are in your list then you are not in the right place. Peak hours are anything from around 5pm until midnight GMT. -

Looking for Spitfire Pilots to form a new team!

good luck guys, The LFDM server is where most WW2 fighting is going down these days. Any UK based spitfire pilots can join my squadron if they would like. ~S~ -
Operation "Blue Flag Normandy" - 24/7 WWII PvP Campaign - ROUND 1

how did it go tinman? In a different game long gone, there was a territorial conquest map and every night 2 german / US based players would invade and capture all of england, we would then spend all day recapturing everything and then get across the channel all the way back to paris for us to log off and they would re do it all again when we slept. This server reminds me of those fun times and to have a basic base capture element built into a DCS mission is fantastic. To be a bit more believable all we would need is a c47 and ju-52. -
I blew the tail feathers off a dora from about 400 yards with 20mm hispano. It surprised me on two counts the first being I actually stayed within guns range for long enough when he knew I was there following him and the 2nd being a human opponent the DM normally takes alot of hits to do any significant damage.

I forgot to check whether they fixed the extremely annoying P51D popping sound? anyone?

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
122sqn Bruv replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
The 262 in any WW2 environment is completely un-balancing. None of the operational issues ever get factored in and you end up with idiots thinking they are gods gift to ACM when they are flying a jet vs piston fighters at 2-300 mph advantage. I'd much rather see some of the classics like some earlier 109's F's or G2/6's, Spit V's or A6M zeros. IE planes that can actually dogfight. ;) -
WW2 DCS is building some momentum what with the Jug, channel map, new Damage model and hopefully the Mossie coming this year. The Storm of War server and LFDM give two good but slightly different MP environments. Plenty to shoot at in regards to targets. No better time than a Spring / Self Isolation sale to get some of the modules half price. If you like to turnfight get the Spit and 109k4. If your slightly weak at the knees and prefer Bnz, get the P51D or 190 Dora. The mission editor is great, see some YT vids from ancient gamer / suntsag

I make it roughly 2 weeks until end of Q1. ;)

DCS: de Havilland DH.98 Mosquito FB Mk VI Discussion
122sqn Bruv replied to msalama's topic in DCS: Mosquito FB VI
hey spit flyer, I was on Hayling Island (langstone hotel) 2 weeks ago for a speed awareness course. Thankfully they didn't catch me in my Spitfire. :pilotfly: My positive curve is 20, with a deadzone of 5. All other WW2 modules seem less twitchy than the spit so I can be more aggressive with them. and lastly this thread is about the Mossie so putting it back on track I can't wait to fly 2 merlins at the same time! -
I think you could have done with a bit more system ram. If your going all out (why not)
