  1. I bought a new set from a US company called digikey, £130 took 3 days UPS worldwide. Very impressed. Hopefully they are still around in 10 years time.
  2. some very cool information and nice screenshots. Instant purchase for me credit card is waiting. let's go.
  3. My spitfire flies like a glove and is the best £££ I've ever spent on any piece of software ever. Maybe there is a control conflict somewhere? double mapped Axises?? All the best Bruv ~S~
  4. I took damage to the radio and it resulted in a loud annoying hissing noise. Pressing the radio off button killed it. Just meant that I was unable to use SRS for the rest of my sortie which I found very cool and realistic.
  5. I was chasing a 190D at great speed with a P51D just this morning. Had him sitting pretty right in the convergence distance and annihilated him with a relatively short burst of 50cal. It went fuel hit, fire, then smoke/flames very rapidly. 50cal IMO is the best/most stable round except when being too close or too slow on the bandit. If your riding them and they are taking evasives then I would prefer the spitty's 20mm to put them down. I've observed quite a bit of MP action over the last two months and will agree the way AI takes damage compared to Human controlled does seem off. I thought this was going to be rectified with the new DM. I've also seen some really terrible gunnery.
  6. I've read it now Bozon, I won't quote the page where he holds the controls for Sid, whilst he is trying to relieve himself into a blocked wee tube. +1 for multicrew Level autopilot function.
  7. the only reason I'd like to have level autopilot is so that you can go and take a pish without having to worry that your plane will go in the ground during an unexpectedly longer sortie than you were expecting. With the Mossie being multicrew would it be ok if the navigator held the controls steady for a minute or two?? With that being said going before take off and holding it in is far more realistic...
  8. I'd also like to know how people are attacking them. If your going in solo vs a formation every single gunner is going to be pointing at you. Multiple attackers and things get much easier. Before the changes It was near impossible to come out unscathed, at the moment things seem more realistic IMO.
  9. Seems like that book is pretty rare? Are there any cheap/online copies?
  10. do you still suffer from this glitch in non-Normandy maps? I find it very rare when flying on channel yet it scares the crap out of me when in Normandy. It crept in a few OB's ago it started as a black twitch as if your pilot was blinking momentarily then into this weird yellow flashbang anomaly. Maybe it is a nvidia driver thing but I do hope the powers that be manage to narrow it down and resolve. You do think someone is firing at you sometimes.
  11. Bozon I can sense that your anticipation is reaching fever pitch. Lets hope the multicrew works from day one. I'll be happy with some rockets and bombs.
  12. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the Spitfire and your comparison. I've recently upgraded my CH combatstick to a VKB stick and whilst giving a slightly different feel in the handling the most important thing is getting the pitch Axis setup correctly. You'll need to fly it for many more hours to really appreciate the glove like feeling. Practice makes perfect.
  13. same this last patch has tipped me over the edge and ordered a 1tb drive, Persian gulf has had to be un-installed for a bit.
  14. I think a flyable JU-88 and B17 with multicrew would be a good place to go. You've got the shapes already just go with modelling the cockpits and it gives the WWII MP crowd a chance to add another element of gameplay. Learning how to use bombsights and PVP interaction between bomber gunners and fighters. But your exactly right Bozon the Mossie is top of the important list and it does sound fairly imminent. Then there are the left field modules of the Carrier + F4U + A6M, and octopus G's LA7. The 262 would be fun to fly but adds nothing to the current MP environment.
  15. Practice makes perfect, You have to also channel the British Fighter Pilot Hero mindset and use your jedi like powers to have perfect Situational Awareness, to never get hit and only ever fire your Hispano when your enemy is foolishly turning right infront of your guns. You have 240 rounds use them wisely. Also don't fly without being properly topped up with the exact amount of tea and biscuits. The most frustrating thing is being sat in a 1943 plane fighting 1945 opponents but once that annoyance dissipates it only adds to the satisfaction when you send your enemies packing one after the other. Spitfires are awesome in DCS and for real, nuff said.
  16. I'd like to have more variation for the Axis in general with earlier models. A Japanese module will be cool but I understand they are harder to do properly with lack of information.
  17. open up the in depth FPS counter, default is something like ctrl + pause. Look for FOV and zoom all the way back in the cockpit if it goes beyond about 120 ish (my spit is set to 115) to the maximum 140 you'll get fisheye. Sometimes it can also depend on the server your in that may not allow FOV restriction. I wish there was a generic FOV setting for all modules but I guess everyones hardware is different.
  18. Has anyone shown Bozon the latest Pictures should keep him going until release.
  19. excellent job man! ~S~
  20. and when are rockets being added? ;)
  21. Have noticed a small redout in most WW2 planes now so that has been added in one of the more recent OB's. Haven't had a full Neg G blackout in awhile maybe I've just improved or it's been tweaked!
  22. congrats groovyjerry, There is nothing quite like it IMO. Now you just have to drink copious amounts of Tea and dunk biscuits (don't let em drop in) for extra winning.
  23. +1 I'd like to see some sort of AI cargo/troop drop facility that you can instruct to drop over a target. C47/dakota and JU52. Bonus points for flyable ones.
  24. it appears to be a shaking / vibration effect. Like you would normally get if you forget to engage MW50 with the throttle advanced. I also noticed the Jug suffering a similar issue but nowhere near as pronounced as the 109.
  25. take it vertical
