Every other game in vr has a massive fps drop at start of a multiplayer game. It makes the game unplayable. I alt - tab in and out but sometimes it pops the fps back sometimes it doesn't. I have a beefy pc. As a professional game dev myself im trying to be patient, . At the moment its 50 50 weather ill get a good game in.

Overall i think really practice your turns and flying by the numbers. Like doing turns where you practice keeping your speed constant , in horizontal turns and vertical loops. It takes retraint to manage and controll your speed. Its realIy easy to pull to much on the stick and loose your speed to fast. I think getting a good understanding of those skills will help you againts any plane.

Ok thx, that really helps, thx for the diagram Mr. Burns. Maybe i can rig something up to get the throw a bit closer. Also i attached my fbbs r3, waiting for proper mounts to come in. Ill talk a look at jselfs files War_Pig. Thx

Multiplayer fps drop really low around the second or third time I get in a server. I usually then need to re-start DCS. I have a pretty decent machine but after a 1 or 2 multiplayer games on the dogfight server my fps drops on start. Anybody else running into this? I dont run mods, I use VR, Just recently this has been happening.

Yea makes sense. After looking in the game it does look like the stick has less movement forward and more movement when you pull back on it. I like just starting out with wood pieces its easy to mock the locations for the basic pieces.

Hello what is the distance between the f18 stick and OBS panel right in front of it. Does the stick in real life have less forward movement? This is my first prototype, Im setting the distances based more on comfort that the real thing. So far its much nicer flying on this that using the desk mounts.

When I start dcs my mouse won’t work in dcs. Neither does alt y. I need to go to the task manager the. Press alt y to get the mouse back . I then need to fiddle with it to get the mouse cursor to move in dcs. Is anybody else running into this? What is the best way to start up dcs and have no issues?

Yea . They are 2 different planes. The hornet is made for low speed fights. You can still maneuver it at 90 knots with rudder inputs. So if you get a viper or any other fighters slow they are yours. If you have some missiles you can usually be the first to get your nose around a get the first shot. Vice versa the viper has power so if it can stay fast it can stay above and out of the hornet firing solution or extent and reset the fight. Not an expert but it’s been my experience.

Great campaign. On the second apc. We where out of bombs. So we did guns runs on the apc. But it seems to be invulnerable. Hehe. Anyway. Awesome experience.

When i launch the sim nothing happens, The ob exe. is in the configuration slot. -
just finished Mission 5. really nice twist.

Was your ins set up correctly. I had a startup that set up ins /heading correctly. But the velocity vector was off as well as the pitch ladder.
-
One mission 2 the knee board says brc 175. But I was actually around the opposite of that. Around 339. Can others confirm. I ahad to use the line up lights on the carrier. Still lots of fun. I have a few questions . Also when magic calls out the location of the incoming plane. It gives me a bulls position followed by head south. Is that telling me to head south or is the other plane headed south? When Wing man departs for the exercise. I’m I supposed to go to waypoint5.? It kinda through me off. These missions are awesome . First time doing a night aar. The pressure was to much and I ran out of fuel . Hehe.

Is there a way to combine profiles. for example. I have file for the f18 and another for the m2000. Is there a way to place them into one file? thx

Is it possible to see the altitude of targets on the F18 SA page without having to scroll over them?. On the f16 SA page its super helpful that it is shown under the target.

Yea, if only they had an open beta so that the game can be tested and bugs identified. Then patched out to a stable build. Oh wait.......

Does anybody have a working single mfd they want to sell?

Been using the S since the release date. So far so good. I don’t mind the sound, it’s been fine. I’ve started using the voice command software and it has been working better than the vive. The exterior sound doesn’t hinder the built in mic. Dogfighting has been a lot more fun now that I can use voice commands with confidence.

What are people setting the in game screen resolution to in the graphics settings? I’m not if it auto selects this setting.

Just got mine. I happened to have gotten a cold. Which was great because I called the day off and got a rift s. So far it’s much clearer. Played a few missions and dogfighting is much more fun because I can spot enemy planes better. . The gauges are clearer but not perfect for the bottom ddI I need to lean In a bit . I’m craving more Rez now. I saw less ghosting than the Vive. So far a good upgrade especially for dcs. Of course the more rez the better. But this is pretty good. I didn’t mind the sound quality , I like how the sound surrounded my ears, it’s not bad, It’s more comfortable without headphones or earplugs. For the sound I was expecting worse. I felt the sound was on par with Vive earplugs but better because of the comfort of not having to wear them. The gear is light and comfortable. The hmd (the hud that turns on when you turn the dial on right, hehe I’m new..) is super readable. Missile range dials on the hud are really clear. I have to lean in a bit to see the numbers when I slew over radar contacts. The height scan numbers on the radar slew are not super clear but I can more easily tell what they are, I’m not straining to see them.
