  1. Sure, I'ld make an alpha-tester for that airplane... Perhaps if ED needs some testers, I'ld love to use there my skills useful xD
  2. And btw, Peter: you didn't find a fix for the NVG, right...? (; Magic man!
  3. Guys, it works in Win7 also fullscreen - the solution is SoftTh - GOTO http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69791&page=4 - PeterP is the man (;
  4. We should state at the beginning "THOU SHALL CHOOSE THE RIGHT SOFTTH-VERSION!" (: Antialiasing doesn't work in Bs, wether it's by SoftTh odr set by nVidia-Panel... but anyway, it's a big improvement. Fullscreen stable, no FPS-improvements against a single screen, but also, no fps-decreasing (I'ld have beaten my pc to death for that, I've to admit)...
  5. Really great - it worked as wished. Thanks! I'm only trying to achieve antialiasing, but beside that, it works.
  6. Hey, first: thanks for your help. Your first few sentences solved a bit mistery - I was stupid and thought of the OS instead of the program, so I tried the x64-dll... Now at least the "Shall a default config created?" pops up - after that, the simulator isn't starting up. Okay - my configuration: -Screenconfig is attached -both monitors are attached to the first GTX480 of two (SLI) -OS is Win7 x64, BS 1.0.2 -options.lua, graphics-section: ["graphics"] = { ["multiMonitorSetup"] = "1camera", ["color"] = "32", ["heatBlr"] = 1, ["scenes"] = "high", ["water"] = 3, ["fullScreen"] = true, ["visibRange"] = "High", ["aspect"] = 1.6, ["textures"] = 2, ["shadows"] = 3, ["effects"] = 3, ["width"] = 1680, ["lights"] = 2, ["height"] = 1050, ["civTraffic"] = 1, ["resolution"] = "1680x1050", ["haze"] = 1, }, -- end of ["graphics"] -multimonitor-lua is needed - I begun with the shkval + cam-lua, but no success. -native res. of the screens: -upper: 1280x1024 -lower: 1680x1050 -cockpit-photo is attached - destination is to move the shkval-screen (not the ABRIS!) to the upper monitor and the normal cockpit on the lower widescreen. Thanks for trying helping me help you help us all. PS: Were you ever hired by aperture science inc.? ;-)
  7. Hey, in reaction on http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=36551&highlight=multi+monitor&page=35 I'm now pitching over here xD Didn't got it worked out - at the moment I'm trying to get SoftTh working and opened a thread in the SoftTh-forum http://www.kegetys.net/forum/index.php?topic=2628.0 - in short, I don't get any SoftTh-config created and Bs doesn't react on foreign ones. Ideas? (:
  8. Okay - read through the whole thread, but... I'm trying to get the whole setup vertically stretched. OS is W7 x64. Problem: Primary monitor is the lower one, res. 1680x1050. Secondary monitor is stacked on top of primary one - res. 1280x1024. Coordinates of secondary monitor are 0, -1024. I'd like to have Shkval on the secondary. If I set the secondary below the primary (this would be an acceptable workaround), I'm unable to join any aircraft in multiplayer - I don't want to edit the res.-files because of fear for protected servers. So - any idea on setting it up the way I'd like? Settings in the options.lua: [..] ["width"] = 1680, ["height"] = 2074, ["resolution"] = "1680x2074", [..] Settings in the according multimonitor-lua: Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1680; height = 1050; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.6; } } Shkval = { x = 0; y = -1024; width = 1280; height = 1024; aspect = 1.25; } BS starts displaying the content only at 0,0. I don't want to set the secondary as primary because it's not useable that way.
  9. No. It hasn't. Or - it's a merge between two "cores", if you get my point. The "Sim-Engine" is DCS. So - What weapons does the plane carry, where's his position, network transfer, user input, etc. But the Flight-engine (the part which makes the fancy flying, or - which gets the user input to a specific plane and returns the airplane/weapon-reaction) is FC - and won't be touched, because it just interacts with the DCS core via interfaces.
  10. Really - useless. I appreciate the ED work, I love FC2. We all do. But we're enhancing a product which doesn't need enhancement, but fixing. The core FC2-code, I'm sure here until proven otherwise, will get no overhaul - which means all the bugs which drives the FC- and FC2-community mad since years (like HSI in air combat modes...) won't be touched, because to miss-quote "it's core code". So - you're great, ED, and I know it's also a bit marketing, but please - invest the 3-4 month worktime into the dcs-series only OR touch the holy core code. We're begging you all, I believe.
  11. Why don't you just use a quick pc and virtualize OS X? So you get the fancy icons and the "I-drag-and-drop-everything"-experience (which makes me crazy everytime I've to touch a mac - I'm not a mouse pusher and I want to SEE what I'm doing, not just a "you dragged the music-cd on itunes and it automatically did everything" - I don't trust electronic farther than I can throw it) and can fly DCS anyway natively. In my opinion, the only thing we need in a virtualized enviroment running is a dedicated server... and that seems to be years away.
  12. Don't try to **** with me, Mogas, that last pic isn't from LOMAC as hell ;D
  13. You'll have a lot more lamps lit if you're shmashed in the ground because of motor failure by reason "lack of fuel" in a high-g-manouver.
  14. While in training this evening, I'd trouble with Leavu (clicking the "Add instrument" button crashed Leavu). After an hour, I traced back the error now to WindowBlinds - deactivating it solves the case. Perhaps we could add to the doku that Leavu is incompatible to Wb...?
  15. SLI-System, 2x GTX480. DCS would manage, it had done it before, as it has with the 12Gig... (taking out a couple isn't an option, as it's all integrated in the cooling circuit and atm I can't drain the circuit) Tested it with a super-clean install and without anything but my mouse coonected also allready. Same for av completly down. FC2 is working fine. Eventviewer is totally empty - no crash reported, nothing... thats the misterious thing - it seem's like the sim-exe has just the opinion "I don't wanna fly" and leaves the base directly at the gates allready. SOLVED (appending this because I was in writing the post while testing around xD): I'd gone through my analogue system log I'm writing by hand, where bigger changes are noted. My eye felt on WindowBlinds... That's an uhm... a Make-Up-programm for Windows I'd tested a few days before. By setting the "Deactivate Desktopstyles" and "deactivate visual designs" on the compatibility tab off the simulator.exe, I got it running, even without having to kick WindowBlinds away. So - Problem solved - if anyone encounters strange behavior, try setting this modes! Big thanks for help anyway, Panzertard.
  16. Hellas, I'm encountering a misbehaving simulator.exe. OS: Win 7 x64, Admin, UAC is off. System Specifications > Signature. BS fresh install (was previously installed on the system, but cleaned up a few weeks ago). Launcher running fine, initiating a mission -> no mission loading screen, instead instantly a windows-crash-report; after choosing "close program", I'm getting the debriefing-screen. Patched to 1.0.2: Same result and behavior. In the temp-folder, there isn't any error- or crash.log created at any time. DirectX is on actual level, did a reinstall with the june-2010-redistributable. Reinstall BS after uninstalling and cleaning the system: same behavior. GPU-Driver on 257.21, so it's on nearly actual level. System is patched regularly and up-to-date. Simoultanously installed is FC2. Installation is on C:\Spiele\Ka-50\. TrackIR and Thrustmaster Cougar installed (recently tried the TARGET-Software of Thrustmaster, but cleaned it up soon - awful...) Anyone any idea of analysing the behavior? Don't want do an OS-reinstall, I'm totally shirty of that idea at the moment... Thanks in advance. DxDiag.txt
  17. "Never change a running system". It's true what Kuky told, the "dont-install-in-program-files"-recomendations are based on the UAC-protection of this folders. But - if UAC is disabled (what I DO recommend, there're several security features which are more important and should be ENABLED before a warning system which is just praying it's own church), you could use or not use this folders as your wish. I've my Sims all in an games-folder on the main drive set, where Windows is also located. Only useful rec. I've is to collect all installed software on the windows-partition/-hdd and data and tracks, documents etc on another, if possible, move also the "My documents"-folders etc into another partition. By this separation, the programs you'ld anyway have to reinstall after reinstalling windows' will be wiped out with an broken win', and the rest will stay (mostly) secured.
  18. Have pfun ;) If you build up your own, would you be so kind and post it? Perhaps there're also good ideas by other people ;P
  19. Updated - I saw better use for the defence-system-POV and put the rdr-cursor to where it belongs.
  20. Guys, how exactly is the DCS- & LOMAC-radar simulated at the moment? After all discussions (example, http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=55582 ) and own expiriences, I'ld assume a scripted thing, like, "target is 15nm away, target heading relative to own course is 15°, altitude-azimuth -3°, show target on mfd". Correct me if I'm wrong. I'd the following idea and didn't found anything in the threads - when it's true - why not going down the lane with radar calculation by wave propagation - simulated by a PPU which is optimized for such things? It could be disabled in the options to save performance, and calculated in mp-sessions on the host... I mean - most details of the aircraft-radars simulated till now seems to make such things possible, am I wrong?
  21. ...what did he say? Anyway, thanks for the research in the files, great also for air refulling.
  22. Perhaps your mean "Fire...", dont remember the complete name, Fireball, Firebird or something. Btw, in fact he totally missed the point with his vid, This is a minigun fired from an heli, not the mighty avenger at all. I'm the same opinion as our unknown A-10-pilot - it's a bit riddiculous, the normal party mix explodes on impact or enters the ground, it'ld NEVER bounce.
  23. Dear people, I want to share my LOMAC2-cougar-profile, optimised for the F-15, with you. I tried to adjust it along some sketches of the F-15-HOTAS & and surely had to adopt some things, but it works really good. The Profile is for use with an TrackIR, so that the POV is used for trimming, and the axis-setting works with an FCC-Mod, so if you don't possess one, you'll have to adjust the sensetivity there. Anything else should be self-descriptive. Perhaps we could collect here good Cougar-Profiles for the different planes...? Regards, Haggart COUGAR_PROFILE_LOMAC2_HAGGART.rar
  24. Thats the same for me, Z-axis doesn't work.
  25. ...*sigh* and how about a short workaround - like an... overlay in a corner [like the fps-overlay in some games etc]? Upper Left Corner Overlay: "01 263 40.9 2.7" "Waypoint_number Heading_to_waypoint Distance_to_waypoint course_deviation" That must be at least some easier to implement, as it's just a hook-up on the base system, no? (And it had allready been made for 1.12, just not as an direct overlay, but an seperate program, done over the export.lua)
