I figure that you'd get a performance boost, but it's no way worth 50 quids. 50 is really pricey for some measly 2x1gb ddr-800. You're better off saving that money for a CPU.

By placing the trackir camera off to the left on top of the monitor, there shouldn't be any issues. Open TrackIR Software and switch to camera view to see if the camera can see all 3 dots, while moving around your head. In default position, the 3 dots should be around the center.

But it is pretty much certain, that LO 2.0 will run better on W7 because it's basically the same as with DCS. And both will run the same version of the TFC engine. So go figure =D

drop the hd5850 and get a hd5870, otherwise top notch build. =) but do you plan on going sli/xfire? otherwise 850W psu is kinda waaay too much and that case is fugly, but that just me ^^

Go for MB/CPU if you really wanna upgrade now. Just don't buy a 275 GTX now. For whatever reason you don't want to buy an ATI, that's ok, won't try to convince you otherwise, but buying a 275 GTX now is imho pretty pointless. Nvidia will release their new cards really soon. And by new I really mean their new cards, not their G92 which they relabeled 3 or 4 times by now (I'm sure it was atleast 3 times), without changing anything significant or even changing ANYTHING. I don't know for how much 275 GTX go for where you live, but the new Nvidia cards will be very likely above that budget since Nvidia releases their Highend cards first. So you're better of waiting or getting that new MB/CPU/RAM. And ffs use paragraphs, otherwise it's murder on the eyes :P
