  1. first of all: nice setup but there's only so much hardware can do with that old engine of FC. IIRC still single-threaded, by today's standards poorly optimized. Anyway this should be solved by the time FC 2.0 is released.
  2. i thought this was about anti aircraft artillery :P
  3. the area around the air intakes look kinda unnatural, but otherwise nice PS'ing.
  4. it really depends on your budget. imho if you don't want to spend that kinda money, the x52 pro is perfectly fine. overall the production quality is good and so far I didn't encounter any problems at all, neither hard nor software wise, since I bought some 2 years ago. building a profile is quite easy once you've figured out the programming software. surely it's possible to get a real HOTAS setup; I build my own but it can easily take a couple of hours to get a well thought out profile.
  5. yea by the time the next cod is out, the DCS A-10 module should also be released (hopefully). and that is gonna occupy pretty much all of my free time :P
  6. the bastard child of an f-16 and eurofighter j/k =P
  7. Last picture, the F-15 on the left. Anyone going to make that skin for FC? pretty please ^^
  8. now these are some wicked skins :P
  9. yep, they said that they'll release FC 2.0 on cd/dvd later this year, which doesn't need FC 1.x. On release FC 2.0 will be available as a digital version which will require FC 1.x.
  10. woot? TSMC just can't supply the market with enough chips since they had some problems with a new manufacturing process. The problem was a rather low supply of 58xx's. It's still hard to get a 58xx at a reasonable price. Don't know what you mean by saying that they're getting RMA'd.
  11. spotted an x-52 pro in the newest episode of chuck xD season 3 ep 5.
  12. steelseries siberia V2 (V2 is important) just my 2c
  13. pretty much any multi-role fast-mover would be awesome :D
  14. to temporarily stop the shakiness to click a button, map the precision button of the trackir software (might have to remap that button in TIR SW/DCS) to a joystick button.
  15. I figure by losing altitude you gain speed (trading potential for kinetic energy) which is necessary to increase the distance the missile has to travel. By climbing you loose speed which is not quite gonna help you against a missile approaching you with 2-3 mach.
  16. options, gameplay, cockpit language iirc
  17. new cannon shells real sound addon (mostly excellent sounds with some odd inbetween) lockon4ever 2.0
  18. create a pilot in flaming cliffs, exit, then just choose that pilot in ramgen
  19. modern mbt's are in fact able to do that. to avoid being blown out of the sky, consider the very limited elevation of the tank's main gun.
  20. Not arguing the fact that it's a noticeable upgrade (tir4->tir5) but whether it's worth it, since the resolution of the tir4 ain't thaat bad. yep quite not as good as tir5, but major leaps ahead of 3.
  21. Upgrading from tir3 I'd say that it'd be worth it. From tir4 not really, it'd depend. So go for it.
  22. well their website seems to work for everyone pretty well, otherwise you'd find their software mirror'd on other servers, wouldn't you? so I assume the problems lies on your side, i.e. outdated internet explorer.

    Wings Of Prey

omg nice didn't know they released it for pc; i had the demo for ps3 but i didn't particularly like it since the ps3 controller plain sucks with flight sims ^^ awesome visuals though! d/ling now
  24. google is your friend ^^ e.g.: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=769004&postcount=3 http://www.dutch-flankers.nl/wiki/index.php?title=Installing_Flaming_Cliffs_on_Windows_7
  25. Even if the headbobbing/swaying is overdone, it's still more realistic than what most other games depict; after all you can't really 'sprint' with full combat gear, those extra kg's do make a difference mobility/speed. The swaying of the weapon is not that badly done, but in reality you don't notice it as much since you've got a wider FOV compared to what you get on a pc monitor.
