  1. Much obliged, figured it'd be under the "release" from other github downloads but couldnt see any release link on the initial page, thanks!
  2. I guess it's discontinued since not available to download from the link, no files shown. Am I missing something?
  3. Waypoints and route still don't show up, although they sometimes appear then disappear again with the same .miz file and same settings, showing on the first run of the said mission but disappear again in a replay...weird.
  4. I have this "Special Offer" nag screen comes after the initial client loading that started with the first version of 2.7 open beta and I thought it'd be temporary and everyone else has this which I highly doubt now because I haven't seen any complains or mentions so far. I'm on the latest open beta and it always comes few seconds after the initial game loading and I have to cancel and select confirm to pass it every time. Any comments ideas are highly appreciated, thanks.
  5. Yea it was indeed hard and complex for its time and how dazzling it is to think about the Mossie sim then and to look at the one we are blessed with today
  6. Blast from the past; I recalled how I fought to control the engines on my first ever sim as a 10 year-old as I was trying to get a grip of my Mossy! Couldn't resist to think about the time with a deep sigh... P.S. Maybe we can solve the left engine smoke problem by looking at these settings
  7. Strangely in full load I cant fly vaguely level without the trims full right aileron + rudder and full down elevator...I'm guessing the my aged MSFFB2 is the culprit as it has the tendency to mess things up in modern titles.
  8. Same issue happened to me twice just recently, only after I meddled with some JSOWs, doing GPS alignments, waypoint settings and whatnot...I don't know if it has to do anything with it, because I've used A/G CCIP GUN many times before, was never too accurate but this two times after successful JSOW deployments, gun pipper went beserk and pointed way low and rounds ended up way high and away.
  9. As far as I know Steam versions are not compatible with regular DCS. Can you buy a module from Steam and use it on the non-Steam version of DCS?
  10. I definitely concur "it'd be nice to have much better ground handling physics".. ...I really like popping chutes, it's so cool but unfortunately chute dynamics isn't realistic in other aircraft as well (still better than fc3 planes though). Also as being said chute acts like a rigid object hitting the ground in Mig21..Thus popping chute on flare like on those crazy landing videos does not work. ..One other thing if anyone noticed brakes skid too easy and not very effective..As if slipping on a wet surface...Many sim flyers get surprised when they realize that wheel braking is much more effective than thrust reversing or the chute in real aircraft, only inferior to arresting cables :)
  11. Don't you think drag chutes act a bit unrealistic in DCS anyway, they should not be slowing down aircraft too quickly; like 160kts to 60kts in just a few seconds.
  12. I understand about the gun damage as per the DCS modelling, and their sound considering they mostly are similar or same cannons but about the chute I trust that I may be right by studying some numbers of recorded landing parameters, even watching countless chute landing videos (especially the ones with premature chute releases on flare). Not just the Mig21, F5E or others, chute will surely add a considerable drag, especially with the exhaust, however all aircraft tend to slow down unrealistically upon chute release, it acts "magical". As for the trim modern ones seem to act right like F-18 but I can't be sure since I've never flown combat planes, maybe you should keep a little back pressure on the stick even if you're fully trimmed up. Just my two cents. Thanks for your valuable input folks.
  13. I'm not a regular follower of the esteemed DCS community so sorry if the points I make are too obvious or redundant to you and I appreciate any kind of input. I've been using many flight sims for a long time, including DCS, which is one my favorite due to its setting and visuals but not flight dynamics. Now that we're blessed with a chance (Huge thanks to ED) to try many complex modules, I've come to see that even though they're magnificent in many aspects there are some major flaws. Please correct me if I'm wrong; I don't have any combat aircraft experience but for starters I know for a fact that popping a Drag Chute (which is my fave gig) does NOT slow an aircraft in real life as in DCS. Touching down above 150kts and slowing down to 50kts in a matter of few seconds..well that's a big NO. The other thing is pitch trim, especially in some models, won't hold the aircraft (I've tried with different setups n machines)..in real life you can push an aircraft into a complete stall or even a spin with extreme pitch up trim..in DCS aircraft simply bows down its nose on stall speed with max trim (e.g. Mig21). I don't fancy modern time combat but I noticed cannons in DCS are...for the lack of a better word...questionable ...They mostly sound the same (except the A10...duh!) and their damage is a joke...Here I am starin' down the tailpipe of a poor ww2 prop, L39 or anything for that matter and giving it a heavy load of lead...all it says "damaged" :) Whats up with that? Yet, hissing the brakes of the venerable Mig21 while taxiing after a creamed landing is still a sim climax for me... so thank you guys.
  14. I understand and thanks for the input. Then I think it is safe to assume that ED original modules likely won't have a problem.
