They are probably trying to estimate how many users have 32 bit in order to prioritize for future development.

+1 for the idea! Even static pic of rain on canopy would be nice for starters.

You are on fire! Great job!

How do you set the TGP to the ground under an elevated SP?
goldfinger35 replied to Hogger73's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
This is what I do: Slew the TGP to the steerpoint, than slew down. It takes 2 sec to do that and by doing that you may also discover some ground targets ahead. -
Blown Away by the Quality of this Product

Welcome! If you have patience and time, this sim is best €€€ ever spent. -
+1 for civilians. Model few of them (female, male, child) and add them to missions close to targets.

Real pilots comunicate with radio. In this sim, currently only f2 view (cheat) helps you discover that. My testing also showed that if you order your wingman to attack enemy at my spi with, for example, mavericks, and he is out of mavericks, he will still report ok and engage enemy and than at last moment see that he is out of mavericks and abort.

As I have already mentioned in similar thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=64589&highlight=Pilot it seems that ED didn't implement pilot yet because they have to solve at least two problems: left hand covering some switches and throttle that can be moved seperately (left/right) by hand.

Yes there was but unfortunately it is not modelled in dcs:a-10.

Hi Greb! Looking forward to new missions.

Jtac telling me to attack SAMs with CBUs?
goldfinger35 replied to emtguf's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
My testing showed that sa-8 can not hit you above 25.000 above ground level. You don't even have to use chaff. Are you sure you were 33.000 above ground level/target and not above sea level? On a side note, I would never attack sa-8 with bombs if I had a maverick. -
Thank you everyone who made this great sim possible. Developers, testers, mods etc. Best spent $59.99 in my life!

Failures in A-10 are nothing. Wait until DCS releases next sim - DCS: F-16 :) and model F-16 failure rate. Just look at Polish experience with F-16s: Out of first 11 delivered F-16s from manufacturer, 9 had serious malfunctions (broken wires, flight computer errors, anti-ice system, tires, oxygen systems etc.) They even had to make emergency landings due to avionics failures: http://polandusa2007.blogspot.com/2007/10/f-16-jet-fighters-stationed-in-military.html

+1 for flight AI management. Let me copy-paste from another thread: AI is the biggest problem in otherwise great sim. It often ruins my mission. I think at least 50% of wingman problems would be solved by adding ability to order wingman to stay above 5000/10000/15000/20000 feet. It shouldn't be too hard to implement (I hope).

Air brake sound exists in sound folder, but it is not played when using air brakes. Chaff&flare dispensing is not audible in 1.1.0.7 It was louder in earlier versions.
-
I was about to suggest the same. It seems that a lot of technical issues users are reporting are due to installing release and playing for a while, patching to 1.1.0.6 and playing, than patching to 1.1.0.7. etc. That leads to many problems IMO. My suggestion for ED is to release new patch only as 1.1.0.8 stand-alone and not release a patch for 1.1.0.7
-
I know it is not a F-18; Wags said that the next aircraft is a very popular US fixed wing :smartass: Actually, F-18 would be great because ED will have to make a new scenery (Aircraft carrier in Black sea? I don't think so).

PIC1 - square units PIC2 - normal I didn't resize pics so you can see more clearly the difference. -
I have found one solution to simulate increased breathing during high G maneuvers. 1. Go to directory dcs a-10c/sounds/effects/aircrafts/a-10/cockpit rename A10_StallWarnChopped.wav to A10_StallWarnChopped.wav.orig copy attached file A10_StallWarnChopped.wav to that directory. 2. Go to directory dcs a-10c/sounds/sdef/aircrafts/a-10/cockpit rename A10_StallWarnChopped.sdef to A10_StallWarnChopped.sdef.orig copy attached file A10_StallWarnChopped.sdef to that directory. Note that this can be used solo or with above mentioned mod. Pilot breathing sounds - high G manuevers.rar
