  2. I have tested a few: -Air to air does not finish; when instructor says you have to close in to Su-25 nothing happens. -Countermeasures does not finish. -Landing does not work properly; I have followed all instructions and they take you to the wrong position (yes, I have set the HSI to 123).

  5. Thank you all for your answers. They were really helpful. OK but what does TGP show in upper right corner? It says it is Radar AGL altitude and it goes beyond 5000 (see pic in my 1st post).
  6. Is there a way to have radar altitude shown on HUD all the time? Currently, barometric altitude is always shown and radar altitude disappears after 5000. Why do I need this? Well, for example, I want to bomb some targets but I want to stay away from AA fire (Shilka, ZU-23 etc.) which have effective firing altitude around 2.5 km. Therefore, I want to stay above 2.5 km (radar altitude, not baro!). I have found only one workaround; to look at the TGP). Is there any other way and why is barometric altitude primary source and not radar altitude? In the picture below it is clear how misleading is barometric altitude:

  14. Connos, thanks. I am not sure about which problem you are referring to (is it with Vihkr?), but you can easily open the file (with notepad ++) and see what parameters are editable; most of them are self-explanatory.
  15. Nice results. Regarding total 3d mark score; I got similar results (small increase in total score when I overclocked my proc, huge increase in cpu score). You should also overclock your gpu (for other games; there is almost no gain in DCS and LO)...

  17. Nice rig! i7-920 is a great proc. I have pushed my i7-920 to 3.5ghz (with stock cooling). You only have two SSD disks, without HDDs? Or do you use SSDs only for OS and other stuff is on your HDD?

  22. Yup, I didn't get far; F-15s got me after one minute or so. With full speed I guess I could have avoided them.
  23. I have spent a lot of time watching AI planes and helis in this game and there is one thing that really bothers me: they all seem to be "magnetically" drawn to enemy SAM positions. For example, Su-25s would fly to enemy position and instead of attacking them from safe altitude (4+ km), they would lower their altitude to around 2 km and get shot with enemy Stingers. If they avoid Stinger attack, they would turn around, fly low and get shot. Helis, for example Mi-24s, do something similar; instead of attacking from maximum distance, they fly towards enemy SAMs and get shot almost every time.

I have tested last mission (new version) and, despite a good idea for a mission, it didn't work out as it should; Those F-15 intercepted me (that is o.k., I guess), but here is a problem: Russian Su-25 kept attacking enemy airport while two A-10s and two F-15s landed on that same airport, completely ignoring Su-25 (Su-25 ignored them, too). Additional problem is that Su-25 made 20 strafing runs on indestructable Sa-11 radar at the airport. With some minor changes, this mission could work.
  25. Hm? Change for T-55 armour is really not that important for weapons of your Ka-50 (Vikhr destroyed it before or after this mod. 2A42 gun rounds could not destroy it before or after this mod). I have created this mod (weakened T-55 armour) mostly for one reason - so enemy planes (A-10, Su-25) can destroy it more easily (realistically) with guns; before this mod AI A-10 would fire 1.000 rounds and could not destroy T-55.
