So finally the blackscreen issues i know have been fixed: ========================= A friend and i had blackscreens on PC startup. Not always. We both have NVIDIA RTX GPUs with 2 or more monitors attached. My friend has a big TV screen, and two small 8 inch ones, and blames it the little ones cannot run at 60 Hz refresh rate, but some where about 60.8 Hz (higher). The fix seems to set all monitors at the same refresh rate (60Hz) He's got it fixed for a 5090 with new 8 inch monitors running at 60Hz. ---------------- I had those blackscreens for about 3 seconds a few times but only after bootup. In my case i think it now was a loose connector inside my 10 years old second monitor: took it apart and cleaned all with some contact spray. All seemed to work OK since, but i already bought an other monitor and now also swapped my NVIDIA RTX for a 9070 XT Radeon. ----------------------------- However there also seems to be a general NVIDIA RTX only issue with blackscreens and windows 11 and the 50 series. The weird thing is that only a few have them, some even all over the RTX range, and seemingly not related to other hardware like a motherboards, DIMMs etc. NVIDIA forums are all over with tips and tricks, but every one i tried did not work. Games like IL2 and DCS use quite some GPU power, make sure your Power supply van handle the top range CPUs. Dust in your PCI slot for the GPU ?

Thrustmaster AVA flightstick stuttery behavior with 2.9.17.11733 - FIXED
jackd replied to jackd's topic in General Bugs
Hi Hoss, i recently bought the smallest offset adapter extension for my AV, improves quite a bit, but i wonder what 'fly by wire' is ... -
Hi, sorry for not answering earlier, just saw this reply now. It seems that Streamdeck (XL in my case) cannot transfer out L-win or in fact any Win key as moderator for a required keyboard combination like L-win + S (any added key in fact). Any PC keyboard works fine with Win macros, and also programmed Win containing macros from a Razer Tartarus Gamepad works. Been extensively in contact with Elgato support, and they did not come up with a fix with their driver-software now 7.0.3 even. Only thing fixed with their latest software 7.03 is that when you have a win-key containing macro it no longer crashes windows explorer LoL. DCS is not at fault here, but Streamdeck seems unable to bypass any windows anti-macro-ing routine, maybe. Windows Defender seems off with my paid Avast Premium. I used a free tool "keyboardtesutillity.exe" confirming that behavior from Streamdeck. If Streamdeck works with DCS it could be godsent with all the button presses needed some times .... you can edit the button displays. ADDED: just got a mail, nov 6 2025, from elgato support that they're still working on it.

Hi. Has anyone ever tried to control vehicles with an Xbox controller if you have combined arms? The controller shows up in options-controls, but you can also eventually send send Xinput signals to DrectInput via Xinput Plus, probably NOT needed as with IL2 Great Battles: =========== for IL2: download https://www.softpedia.com/get/Gaming-Related/XInput-Plus.shtml Point the to DCS.exe in the bin folder, and set DirectInput to enable first, start DCS and it shows up in your Keymapping Setup, and then you can sett up the buttons and axis X-Y-Z to your liking. You could organize the USB joy ID numbers with JoyID as Xinput adds a new joyID number that might change your setup. In my case only a new higher ID was added with IL2. If you find out more le'me know! Have fun! ============ I am curious if someone has already done this, and maybe has a recommended Button and Ministick layout made up. here's an A4 size layout sheet if needed:

StreamDeck XL - No sending 'some' Keyboard Commands
jackd replied to Toni Carrera's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Now as for oct 31 2025: with Streamdeck update 7.0.3 (22071) tested there are still the same Hotkey bugs with modifier keys win, or Lwin, Rwin .. (Another bug is that entering R-alt triggers L-cntrl first and results in L-cntrl+R-alt. Stream deck is useless this way for DCS and other sim stuff like IL2 Great Battles .. Elgato support suggested the fix is use English US keyboard input, and english US windows settings. I HAVE THAT, NOGO. BTW using a Razer Tartarus v2 Gamepad, all macros with Win keys work fine ! ) -
BUMP! Now with Streamdeck v 7.0.0.22005 MSI installed it's still the same ... the bug is still there, but Thomas T from support stated that the win keys work in a macro when Techsupport tested it. I don't get it, even just tried a fresh installed Win11 PRO with Streamdeck. NoGo as with windows 10 and 11 LTSC. My guess is something like windows anti macroing protection blocks win key incorporated macros, which is not bypassed by the Egato drivers, and Razer etc has it worked out OK.

I ordered a RTX 5090 FE...what have I done?
jackd replied to rapid's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The ever on going quest what's best. Had a burnout AMD laptop once within 2 years, no warranties sorry sir said ACER-AMD. Sticked always with INTEL, MSI, Gigabyte and NVIDIA since. Latter firm gave me quite good after market by refunding a 3 year old 2080 which developed suddenly some color errors. Still have my 4080s and it works well. -
Curious: What was the slow brand and type? I started with samsungs and never changed brand sofar ..

And they publicly recognize UFOs mind you. Wish we had them in DCS for impossible chase hunts.

Anyone purchase the Thrustmaster AVA base for their Warthog
jackd replied to kmaultsby's topic in Thrustmaster
I discussed the AVA's wobbly behavior with some TM-tech from support. It's designed like that on purpose in regards of real life. Important is to calibrate it, a thing i forgot, needed after firmware updates and even spring tension adjustment. -
Since i use a Streamdeck XL for a lot of macros triggering functions in planes i found that when the Lwin or Lwin key is used in default DCS preset control commands, example Lwin+T in a FW190a8 for some radio function, i run in to problems probably due windows anti macro-ing security. I would appreciate it if DCS could AVOID using the Lwin (and Rwin) keys for default plane controls in general.

Ah, just discovered this revamp on the Streamdeck isue; I have a Streamdeck XL for almost 2 years now. Struggling with the modifier keys R-ALT. Set as Hotkey or Hotkey Switch it always triggers the L-CNTRL too first. Must check the US keyboard thing, but i think i have that set right, only with Dutch as second language. To get it working use a Multi Action Switch set R-alt MANUALY from the dropdown, and second hotkeys to anything. But using the Barraider Supermacro puginthe R-ALT works OK. But what i never got working was any macro using the WIN keys, also the L/R variants, and not in Barraider as wel. Now with Streamdeck drivers 7.0.0 beta testing, the win keys no longer crash windows explorer as before, with a reboot needed for a reset. That got fixed by Elgato. ================ I just tested a SIMFOON CN001 Stream Controller, behaves the same (there's NO barraider plugin for it, and the software looks like an old Elgato Streamdeck msi version). ================ However programming WIN keys in a macro for a RAZER tartarus v2 works OK, as with macros from my Steelseries Pro keyboard. alas both have NO editable button displays on their hardware. ================ For 6 months i have been in contact with Elgato support, sending them ELGATO reporter tool files, and none of their solutions or suggestions worked, IMO its a driver programming bug. Might be that they don't get it how windows anti macro-ing security works? - PS keboardtesterutillity.exe is a godsent tool for Streamdeck output testing. keyboardtestutility.zip

I found it, Gun safety also needed to be set to off as well ... pff
-
That worked, Thanks
-
Thanks Razo, tried various setting in the mission editor, but could not find how to load ammo for the guns ... set to 100% now. -p 51 marianas_3-test.miz PS, must go shopping, wife's orders LoL, back later ...
-
P51, where can you set, check, or load ammo? AFAIK there's no damage to weapons, fresh started mission. default LCntrl+Q for GUNS, CAMERA & SIGHT -p 51 marianas_2-test.miz
-
For some friggin' reason i cannot fire the guns with the p51 ... GUN safety is off, Gyro power on, fixed + Gyro selected. Must you arm the guns another way?
-
PS my X-axis works fine with your mounted button and FW 100, but the Y-axis keeps oscillating ... any ideas to fix this?

Hi Damien. thnks My throttle works fine, USB 2.0, admin tried, still NADA. The latest drivers are 2025_TH_4.exe, in regards of my AVA base for the basic Viperstick. 2018_TMHW_1.exe, is that only TM warthog throttle related? fw check in TARGET ( idont use it normally) v23: ----------------------- ADDED: I ran 2018_TMHW_1.exe, that partly fixed it, but i got a new error message: But it seems it worked in the TARGET check, FW 100 LoL, your slew button works a lot better ! Had to reset the Joy IDs, but all OK now. BTW thanks:

Hi Art-J ..... An old post on the p51. As for now i am trying to setup the p51 controls for my TM viper stick re-mounted on a TM AVA base. I cannot get the elevator-ailleron trimming to work on my sticks nose up, down button assignment. Works from the keyboard however. All my control mappings are from the days that i used the old magnetic base, there it worked for the trimming.. Are you saying that possible fixes my result only when i reinstall all my control mappings from the ground up, or can i just reset the p51 to default and edit it? thnks
-
Hi Damien For maybe 3 years i have your slew mod installed, but never installed the calibrated firmware in my TM warthog Throttle, FW v23. Delta_Sim_Fast_Slew_v100.tmf however wont install. Any ideas?

Thrustmaster AVA flightstick stuttery behavior with 2.9.17.11733 - FIXED
jackd replied to jackd's topic in General Bugs
