  1. So far i cannot get the in front of the cockpit nose-guns to fire =============================================================================== Streamdeck, just found the Multi Action Switch function... one button press now activates several Hotkeys with a 20 ms delay in between. Guns ready to fire LoL. Next press switches them off again with the same coding under 2. Example: This should be possible in the DCS control setup pages for each plane. ADDED a question, it seems that the FW190 a8 is not always as obedient to the keypresses,. as well direct from the keyboard, or indirect via my Streamdeck unit. Is there a reason for that regarding USB input? (hub power management allowance is set to off}. I fixed a bricked a Thrustmaster Base with their bootloader, but only could using a motherboard's USB 2.0 bus, not via USB 3.0.
  2. Thanks, you are really the DCS professor here
  3. Thanks for your extensive reply. Busy now with setting up my Streambox for the A8. However right clicking on 1 or 3 gives me only the remove payload option, but if only i deactivate the little watch mid under, the rockets are loadable:
  4. HI, cannot figure this out as i cannot fire the guns and cannon ... engine is full running, in air. I got the bombs to drop, but also cannot setup a payload with rockets in the Mission Editor. The manual is not very clear on this it seems. Tips welcome!
  5. Another tip from the person above for a NVIDIA 40 series card: If you have 2 monitors etc, set both to the same frequency and unmark 'use variable renewal (?) frequuency". Latter i could not find on my Windows 10 laptop right now, not sure where to find it.
  6. I just installed the Steelseries software, but it's kind of sh*tty with far to much advertising for mostly shooters only incorporated. LoL, even sent them a support ticket asking about a straight non advertising version. Multi keypresses seems possible, but right now i am trying out the Streamdeck route with their System and Barraider SuperMacro plugins, got a few things working for the Mosquito. ADDED: Spent quite some time experimenting for the DCS mosquito and Streamdeck ... tips and suggestions welcome. IMO in general about Streamdeck: The System and even barraider plugins seem the best way, the other found solutions like TARGET, gaming keyboard tools, that fabulous command injector (for Streamdeck only?) are maybe too complicated for me. If you don't have a Streamdeck the gaming keyboard tools might be a solution if you have one. PS i have been experimenting with my Steelseries apex pro keyboard and macros. Not very simple and user friendly system. The same problems as with Elgato Streamdeck, Win keys like LWIN and RWIN will not pass through into DCS. IMO a windows isuue maybe with defender against malware macros. Seems a problem already in 2017. (Elgato support is now looking in to it, i ran a testing report tool they sent me).
  7. Max, i do, must look into that. Steelseries Apex Pro, but i never bothered looking into their software, you made me curious now. thnx. Meanwhile i started messing with my Streamdeck. Tried the stuff i found on DCS for that but could not get to terms with the findings. However using their Elgato Marketplace plugins for System (default) and those from Barraider (supermacro plugin) i got that to work a wee bit sofar.
  8. Ah, i understood it was meant for VR and microphone use LoL.
  9. You're probably right (again) Max, but i'd still prefer a button press system, as i don't use VR. But i have a Streamdeck XL which i got working with IL2. Multiple keypresses are possible under one button, especially with Barraider's SuperMacro plugin. Now i am trying to figure out how to set that up generally for DCS, and especially for the important functions. BTW, there are a lot of downloadable profiles around for especially jet planes but not so much for ww2 stuff it seems.
  10. Thanks, but i HATE that mousing around in the midst of action, just simple warthog stick one time button presses.
  11. Joystick single button triggering multiple functions? Probably asked before, but it might be useful with individual planes to have (a script editing option?) more than one function for a sequence of events happening when you press one button on your joystick. Example, press a button and with say a Mosquito the bomb-doors open, bombs are fused, and maybe also dropped with some editable delay.
  12. nope maybe, but some individual plane setting might need L/R braking set, and even adjusted curves ..
  13. Has anyone experience with RS mapper? Seems to work for all your control hardware, so permanently and not practical with more than one flightsim on your PC.. Must load with each individual plane plane one uses?
  14. Just been trying setting Target up again. So a stupid Q: is it possible at all to incorporate my Crosswinds pedal in the setup?
  15. there seems to be a new version, and also firmware for the warthog throttle .. https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/hotaswarthogflightstick-en/ ================== PS i use IL2 Great Battles too, if i install TARGET for DCS, would that interfere with my non Target IL2 control pages setups?
  16. what's the actual file name and location in the ME selector? got up to 4 years of downloads since i started with DCS.
  17. i must try that again, but once i gave up on it's complexity ..
  18. Stutter and black screen fix tip from @Mork: turn off your e-cores only when DCS runs: ================================================= After the ProjectLasso trick I think i found the final stutter solution from Mork. ProjectLasso i don't use for this anymore. For more permanent fixes with i7 and i9 intel users only? You will need to disable all the the E-cores. Alas they vary for the various Intel types a little, i have an 14900k now, and i used as suggested this script in the target line of my DCS.exe desktop shortcut: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "DCS" /affinity FF "F:\- DCS World Openbeta\bin\DCS.exe" Seems to work fine. Leaves only my 8 P cores running when starting DCS. Affinity Calculator: https://bitsum.com/tools/cpu-affinity-calculator/ Example: For a 12 P core it would be: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "DCS" /affinity FFF "F:\- DCS World Openbeta\bin\DCS.exe" When you quit DCS all cores are active again, guess the problem with DCS is that it cannot handle E-cores? ================================================================================
  19. Lijkt goed te werken, aangepast voor mijn i9 14900k, dank voor de tip !
  20. Thanks, finally found time to look at it again ... I now wonder if there's a way to combine 3 functions to one button on my warthog stick, doors, safety, and fuse?
  21. yep, seems a good one why i was interested in getting to grips with it (again). Chuck's manual seems a help, but i could not find bombing, will look again. As for all the bomb handling .. how can in places one get that done with a boogieman at your six while dive bombing. f.i which fuse to select? Got interested again because of the Operation Jericho v25 dynamic mission recently re-posted by Terry. Latter has some prison placed far away from Amiens, while the real prison is placed on the Channel map OK.
  22. Got them working, but how do you drop bombs, when the doors are open?
  23. Meanwhile back at the station i got a lot further with my Mosquito controls. Generally i find the gaming interface far too complicated like in overdone (the same with most helicopters i got licensed). Some essentials for sheer gameplay i miss, there's no autopilot function, maybe historically correct, but it forces one to manually keep control, boring with long channel crossings. IMO the Mosquito in IL2 is far better as for gaming: got quite used to that one.
  24. Funny is with my AVA the very mediocre manual shows that F/A-18 stick on the pictures. My ava is about 3 months old, use it with the common (viper?) stick ... just set it up with the M gumball plate instead of the vanilla mounted XL. Seems quite better, only that annoying wobbly oscillating behavior remains when you let the stick return to it's neutral position. Filed a complaint with TM.
  25. Been always sh*t with windows as they keep messing around too much. Windows 11 is worse it seems than 10 at that user-friendly -mess. Wonder if Linux and DCS work together for a more stable setup.
