Get one or more of these. Is what I use along with everything plugged into the computer. It has it's own power supply, and each usb has its own power button.

Why not just disconnect them when in DCS if they are not being used at the time?

The F key button on my box is not being recognized when comm's window is open, but other wise work as keyboard function's. Any ideas

More fun during startup's, less mouse use. The F buttons are an add on, after I had finished the box. My nt52 that I used for the F keys crapped on me after MS update screwed with the drivers, which happen far to often so I decided to scrap the nt52 and make my own button to use. Using bodnar bbi 64 to interface in sim.

Guys I had same issues you describe back in Dec off last year is when it started. Mine started out as exit to desktop when I click on fly in a mission. Over a period of two month it progress to black screen, then to computer shut down and restart, too complete shut down, and I had to push the power button too restart my computer. That went on for another month or so. I tested every thing in my computer, even to the point on complete tear down and putting it back to gather, having too reset my BIOS just to start my computer. Took it to computer repair with no luck. Finally after reading many post on the internet with simullur problem, and many suggesting that the power supply may be failing, even though my voltages at main connector were good and showed the same in the BIO I broke down and purchased a new ( power supply ) installed it, and all is well now. Something too think about

Do they not get along, or do I need to do something in VA or IR. VA works well without IR launched but everything goes hay wire with both. I am testing the free VA download at this time. Thanks

This started after last update. Things were not working as should so I tried repair and below it what I get. Can it be fixed without reinstalling updater?

I have had the x 52 for many year's but today I got stumped by something I had not noticed before. When pushing on hat switch on the joystick the keypress is up and pulling is down, but the throttle hat switch work's just as I think it should. Push down pull up. In the software the joystick is push up pull down. Is this what other's are seeing?
