Looks too skinny to be Russian. Ivan designs everything to land on and take off from the worst possible runway surfaces. -
New CH Hotas / Saitek X65F / Logitech G940

Why not current CH? Their current stable of USB controllers is well featured and quite programmable. -
Anyone else getting a little bit bored with BS?

It speaks volumes that 11 years later (4 if you consider Allied Force), we are still talking about Falcon 4.0 in a forum dedicated to a far more modern sim. They are both good, no, make that great sims in their own right and both have their fans and detractors. Leave it at that. -

We could move on to body parts of famous centerfolds. -
The longer I sit and seeth about it the more I think that multicore is a bunch of marketing bullshit as far as the home user is concerned. Oh, I still like my Q9550 but I question the need for multicore CPU architecture when it's been soo poorly utilized.

Half dozen?... Falcon 4.0 originally released in late 1998. Allied Force followed in 2005. -

Was not intended as an incrimination of lifestyle. How you choose to live youe life is not for me to decide. For all I know, you run 26 mile marathons between bi-weekly rugby matches and have 35 friends at the pub. Just a point of conversation that walking away from the PC can be refreshing. I have gone months without playing games and come back when I feel like it and things are a lot fresher. Things change, better patches, more content. Some times it's like a new game is waiting. -
Perfect stick for A-10C from Thrustmaster?

Sobek is right. I have one of these. Hall effect mods to Cougars simply replace potentiometers, the stick still has full defelction. -

So you are a little war weary, eh? I know the feeling. Step away from things for a while. Go play something else. Heck, turn the computer off and go do something real instead of doing something realisticly rendered... know what I mean? We kill the joy of our gaming experiences by over playing them. Even real warriors of the sky spend alot of time doing other things besides flying. -
Um, yeah, how's that workin out for ya these days. Frugals has been MIA for months due to some personal issues that Mark has to deal with. Real life is far more important.

Then what was the point of DCSMax or the implementation of CPU affinity in 1.0.1?

Did you move to Win7? Report in please.
lawndartleo replied to Flyby's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Win7 Professional ($30 + $13 for DVD for full version because of school and it is NOT a limted student version). Love it. Upgraded (clean install) from XP to W7 and haven't looked back. If you are a student and you can qualify for the discount from Digital River, go for it. Intel Q9550 (3.5GHz), Zotac GTX 275 AMP! (700MHz), 2x2GB Corsair dominator -
Endoplasmic Reticulum?... What, Gogli complex was taken, already? That has to be the most unique and obscure forum name I have (or perhaps ever) will see.

Wild weasle tactic is to make yourself an inviting target to get the enemy to shoot at you so you can shoot at them. Of all the pilots out there, I think these guys have the most faulty wiring (and I say that with the utmost respect and admiration). I'm willing to bet the majority of these guys are from the deep south where most accidental deaths start out something like, "Hey Cletus, watch this!" To willingingly incite the enemy to throw the best A2A defences they have at you, that takes some stones.

Yeah, especially with all those supersonic tanks on the battlefield.

Can you hear me listening to you? As you said, listening is passive.

Kind of my point... make it a general design and not a specific design. -

Says you... If you and I were on the CH marketing team, we'd nix any "broad appeal" ideas. But will their marketing guys do the same. As for me, I want to see a throttle that refelcts the classic CH design, not something too "new fangled." ... just sayin. -

It's not drop that I worry about, it's "fluff". The CH Pro Throttle is as spartan and uninspiring of a design as you could think of... but it works, it's comfortable, it's practical. I prefer it to my Cougar any day of the week (which is why the Cougar is in a box in the closet). I don't want CH to go and make a "fluffed up" controller. Form follows function, right? Right! -

lawndartleo replied to Pilotasso's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The only one I have any confidence in is CH but even they make me leery owing to the fact that they made that kookey Eclips yoke, recently. That was an excuse to combine features of numerous devices into one to satisfy the needs of a wider market (cars and planes) -

I've dug... alot.... and I am still coming up empty. Although, I do find lots of neat stuff while searching, so no complaints from me.
