  1. If you do the included startup training mission ... if you take too long your aircraft gradually creeps forward on the deck of the carrier until it rams into the static aircraft parked at the bow and you destroy yourself. Rather frustrating. FYI
  2. With 2k and 4k monitors in widespread use these days ... the on-screen text can get really difficult to read. The radio communications window and the multiplayer chat windows in particular. It would be nice if DCS either autoscaled the fonts as it relates to the chosen resolution, or ... better yet ... just give the user the option to change the font size for himself in the gui interface (so he doesn't have to be messing with the lua code). Maytbe give the option change font color as well (the blue font in the multiplayer screen can be devilishly hard to read ... and when you combine it with tiny font on a high res screen it becomes impossible).
  3. What would you recommend for the values for a 2k monitor (1440) ? Can you change the font size and/or color for the multiplayer chat window too? That's uber tiny on a 2k or better screen.
  4. After the patch I was doing some testing. Tried the 65Fs on their own and works great with the new option to not need to do TDC depress. Then I did some SEAD and had 2 HARM, 2x 65F on board. HARMs worked fine, but after that I could not get the 65Fs to uncage.
  5. I have a couple of S-3s in one of my missions. On one of them I forget to set a landing destination and had set land when bingo fuel. So what did it do? Landed on the nearby Tarawa. And he succeeded. Touched down at the back of the ship and stopped like it had caught an arresting wire then folded up its wings and parked.
  6. May be a moot point. Today I'm trying to run KBB and it doesn't run. It pulls up the splash screen saying loading and it is just stuck there. Tried it with and without Admin perms. Nada.
  7. I assume the (Integrity fail) means it is going to mess with your integrity check for multiplayer servers? If so, I'll have to pass. By the way, small world, I'm from the same town as you! Welcome neighbor.
  8. I just downloaded this program for the first time and viewed the tutorials on the main webpage. I have a basic kneeboard up and running for the Hornet, but no matter what I do to the size of the kneeboard it doesn't appear to take the changes to the size (the content I added does show up though). Any thoughts on why the size changes don't seem to be applying?
  9. Moot point. When you click the open button it does absolutely nothing. No browse screen to even select a file.
  10. Not working for me either. I started a completely new mission and tried it again and the first time I clicked on it I would get the browse feature to select a sound file but it doesn't appear to save once I'm done selecting it and saving. And if I subsequently go back and try again and click it again to set it up I get no response from those buttons from then on. A restart of DCS, and even the entire pc does not help. For other missions where I already have had sound files in it loaded previously the sound button does not work at all right from the get go. Have tried a DCS Repair to no effect.
  11. Issue resolved. Looks like a new command under Axis Commands (or it has always been there and ED for some reason started actively assigning it after one of the more recent patches). Removed it and it's back to normal.
  12. Got the new 51 implemented in my training mission to try it. Some of the controls I have mapped are zoom in slow and zoom out slow. Still works fine on all other aircraft. Now when I try it in the 51 it starts to zoom in for a moment and then snaps back to default zoom level like I had hit view center but I have cleared ALL of the view keybindings (since I use Track IR). Same thing for zoom out.
  13. Corvinus, do you have an example mission? I have set up a road base that, as far as I can tell, perfectly adheres to the contraints you listed and it still doesn't work as far as rearming goes.
  14. I've been testing directly in MP. I also added an additional unarmed truck (the newer NATO transport) to go along with the M818. Figured maybe it didn't like the 818 and the ammo might work with that other transport acting as the ammo truck. Still no go. Can confirm that the fuel DOES work (although it will not add a drop tank). But weapons are still a no-go.
  15. Nope still doesn't work with that naming convention and the RB-24s
  16. What's the link to the latest and greatest .miz? Most all the links in the previous pages appear to be old/broken.
  17. Still didn't work. Here is what I have set. A group of 3 units. The ground is called: Road Base The units in the group are: 1st unit is an APC M1025 HMMWV named GroundCrew 2nd unit is a Tanker M978 HEMTT named Road Base Tanker 3rd unit is a Transport M818 named Road Base Ammo I can land and taxi up to them, pull up the kneeboard and see the Ground Crew page, I can cycle the weapons loadouts on the page, and the Fuel loadouts, and I can execute. I see a progress % climb on the kneeboard and when it says 100 it says Rearm Refuel complete. But nothing happened.
  18. Roger that I will give that a try tonight.
  19. Got the road base set up to the point where they are coming up on the kneeboard, I can change the listed loadout on the kneeboard, and can change the listed fuel load there as well, and then confirm and on the kneeboard it says refueling and rearming and gives a % progress and gets to 100 and says rearming and refueling complete. It looks like it may actually give the fuel, but it doesn't actually rearm (even though there is an ammo M818 truck in the group). Does something else need to happen for them to actually rearm or is it broken?
  20. In my training mission one of the things I was doing was setting a small zone and broadcasting 2 signals on the FM band. One was on one of the ARK-UD frequencies so Mi-8 pilots could practice homing with ARK-UD and the other was for UH-1H pilots to practice FM homing. Discovered that after that was put in, whoever hosted the mission if they then jumped into any FC3 aircraft and turned on electrical power they would immediately hear that radio transmission even if they were located clear on the other side of the map.
  21. Problem resolved. Evidently if you play a transmitted radio audio file via zone in the mission editor, all FC3 aircraft will pick it up ... so evidently the radios of the host pick up ALL radio channel transmissions (but not the clients in FC3 aircraft). Looks like it probably is a bug.
  22. Problem resolved. Switched over to transmittal directly from a unit instead of by zone in the mission editor and it works ok now. And may have found a DCS bug in the process.
  23. Problem resolved. Was using the Armament instead of the TOW version of the HMMWV.
  24. So I have a MP training mission I have developed and it already had a JTAC in it. Once the Hornet got the L-Mavs I attempted to try them out but the JTAC doesn't give me the option in the radio menu to have them lase the target. I've tried in the Advanced Waypoint to just give them FAC, then added FAC Assign Group and assigned the target group to them. They are a HMMWV with Armament. And then tried with with adding FAC Engage Group and assigned the target group to them. The are about 1-2 miles away from the target and flat terrain so LOS should not be an issue. I am able to communicate via radio with them fine and they give a 9 line on the intended target but for designation they say No Mark. I have tried setting them to Auto for designation, and tried specifically to set for laser designation and they STILL won't. What am I setting wrong here?
  25. Took a break from this to work on other aspects of the mission. Back now. Ok so I have 3 beacon locations. #1 is a FARP. It has a zone over it which broadcasts two signals using a script The first signal is a 114.166 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for one of the channels on the ARK-UD on the Mi-8. That signal works fine. The second signal is a 50.4 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for the UH-1H FM radio homing. That signal does NOT work. #2 is around my uncontested infantry extraction mission which has a zone over it which broadcasts two signals using a script. The first signal is a 114.333 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for one of the channels on the ARK-UD for the Mi-8. That signal works fine. The second signal is a 50.3 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for the UH-1H FM radio homing. That signal does NOT work. #3 is around my contested infantry extraction mission which has a zone over it which broadcasts two signals using a script. The first signal is a 114.583 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for one of the channels on the ARK-UD for the Mi-8. That signal works fine. The second signal is a 50.2 on FM @ 1000 Watts which is for the UH-1H FM radio homing. That signal DOES work. I can't see any significant difference in how all of those 3 sets are set up. The 3rd one which is working is FARTHER than the other two which fail so I don't think it is a signal strength issue.
