  1. I have DCS, DCS World 2 OpenAlpha, and DCS World OpenBeta (that's how the folders are listed) installed on this pc. Which folder does this need to be run from? I assume DCS World 2 OpenAlpha since the DCS World is the 1.5 version ?
  2. When you are starting up, do you switch the rotary to NAV prior to taxi or wait until you are aligned on the runway? If it is after you get on the runway, do you hit your reference button (if needed) before or after that point?
  3. I don't remember seeing that in the manual but then again I've probably got an older copy. Need to download the newest one from the Doc folder and go through it again. Ok, thank you!
  4. Thanks wolf. Where did you come across the info on how to do this? Is the freq: 114.166 for channel #1? Do you happen to have the other frequencies that are used for the other 5 channels? I'm assuming power just impacts how far away you can pick up the signal? What is the Zone field for?
  5. Question regarding the ARC-UD. How do you set up a ground unit to broadcast a signal on one of the 6 available channels?
  6. Starting the sim the default behavior appears to be Track IR aiming off. Tried to go into the UH-1H Sim and bind the Track IR aiming on/off to a controller button but none of the cells in that row are clickable. Anyone else having that issue?
  7. Not sure if a bug or not. I was in the Viggen earlier and set the RWR to lights only (no sound). Which worked fine. Then later went back and landed and rearmed and took off again. Once I was back in the air my RWR was giving me lights and sound again even though the switch was still set to lights only. I cycled the switch back to lights and sound and back to sound only and it was silent after that. Anyone else able to replicate?
  8. If you are referring to the Recon part of that function yeah I need to add that in. Working on it. Hope to have it done by the weekend. What I really need is people who are experienced in the Viggen to test these and validate that they are correct (or state any corrections necessary).

  10. I have read through the manual. Frankly, it's in a rough form right now (which is too be expected for a beta). Considering how important waypoints, baro altitude, and other factors are to successful weapons employment I wanted to focus on the flight computer first. Some areas in the manual just gloss over a topic and don't give you a step by step on how to do it. An example is setting an ingress speed for a waypoint. Is it done immediately after a Time on Target for a waypoint or can it be done separetly? Do you have to hit the LS key after entry or just put the I/O switch back to OUTPUT? etc Should we sticky a thread and go over each function and what you can do with it (Like TID -INPUT and another for TID -OUTPUT and doing some step by step examples of things you can do with those modes? Or are we better off just waiting for them to do another pass at the manual to flesh it out more?
  11. There are a lot of controls in the Viggen that traditionally in other aircraft the developer would include a toggle command. (A rotary with 8 selections, for instance, would ... along with each individual command that could be mapped separately, also has a command rotary CW and command rotary CCW entries so you only need to map 2 controls to have access to all those commands. Same thing for switches (master arm on/off can be mapped to a single control). I see a couple of toggles in the Viggen commands but a LOT are missing. This isn't LNS's first romp in the woods in DCS. They have been around the block already so it befuddles me that they would leave all these out. Do we know if they intend to add more toggle type controls later on (and, if so, do we know which ones they will address)? If they don't, even with my Warthog + my TM MFD frames I will STILL run short of buttons and switches.
  12. I have a TM Warthog set but I do NOT use the Target software. Question regarding mapping on the Viggen. Will the 2 stage trigger work for the fix functions (1st stage of trigger for the T1 and 2nd stage for TV position) or will that not work? I didn't know if that would work because letting go the trigger might trigger the T1 position again?
  13. The search is not working from viewing this on my cell so don't know if this has been asked before. What purpose do boundary lines serve? Also, are we getting a revised manual any time soon (one with actual diagrams and screenshots, instead of the manual that is missing 50%+ of its image?
  14. Needs a set of training missions added. Needs D2M functionality. Would be nice to have PRF toggle added to the keybinding list so you can use one button to cycle the modes.

    Flight model?

    Is Mirage using a SFM or PFM? The reason I ask is because multiple times I have gone supersonic in level flight at around 10k' at military power WITH A DROP TANK onboard. That should not be possible should it?

  17. Not really a bug (maybe) but good lord the sensitivity of the rudder/nosewheel when on the ground. Yikes. I ended up reducing the Y-saturation to 25 and put in a curve of 30 on the rudder. That's probably too much as I'm sure that may limit the maneuvers you can do in flight as a result. Anyone else want to post up what (if anything) they did for saturations and/or curves on all their axis?
  18. Don't know if it has been mentioned or not but when doing the instant action cold start, prior to engine start up, in most aircraft I turn on the interior lights. When I turn on the Engine Instruments rotary in the F-5 it seems to turn on the interior flood light instead.

  20. Last tested 7/14/16. If I host a MP server and jump into an aircraft other than an A-10C to start with ... and then later jump into the A-10C, the point of view is as if the pilot is sitting about 12 inches too low. I can sort of correct this by Looking waaaaaaay up and then re-centering the TiR but even then it is a bit awkward. At that point if I look away from the HUD like over my shoulder and then look back forward I can no longer see all of my HUD. At that point if I look near the limits upward and then back to straight ahead that seems to recenter it ... until I look away again. VERY very annoying. TiR was working fine before this latest patch. Anyone else seen this?
  21. Is unlimited gun ammo turned on? The Mig-21 only carries enough for MAYBE two good bursts. Would be a really short show for anyone in a '21 if that's not on.

  23. Where the heck do you find the required wave info for an airbase in the first place? None of the data I'm seeing in the mission editor appears to be it, and nothing included in the manual. And I don't even see it on the kneeboard. What am I missing?
  24. Ok so me and the guys in my squadron are just now starting to get into the WWII aircraft even though we've had them a while. Is there any threads that detail the advantages/disadvantages each of the aircraft (51, 109, 190) have vs each other so we can start working out the best tactics to use in an engagement?
  25. I have loved this aircraft before the movie ever came out. I've been waiting for the likes of this for 30 years. LN if you need alpha/beta testers *Raises hand* This thread has been open less than 12 hours, and going on over 40 PAGES of responses already. If that doesn't speak to the popularity of this project I don't know what would. :)
