  1. And you're saying that the MAV seeker guides the missle to a point in space that is 10nm from your TPOD and that's why it veers off as you turn away from the point of launch?
  2. Two lasing sources? At the same time? Yours and a buddy?
  3. Hmm, interesting video...so you think the mavs for the F18 are/will behave the same way? I shot one at just under 17nm and did a half loop egress to put me at 180 deg to tgt and it still flew a straight line...one time missing about 25 meters short and the other hitting...so I son't think it has the same problem as the AV8B...thanks for the video
  4. Love charts, thanks
  5. That would depend upon the number of additional remaining targets as well as defensive units' ranges in the area of the target. You may still have to loiter, but I understand what you're saying about painting it yourself
  6. Yeah, I'll test that, but why would you do that? Continue to follow in toward the target? I thought the idea was "Launch n' Leave"...Thanks for info
  7. Should be listed under "Missiles" when loading from Ground Crew or in the ME
  8. Didn't see this in Wags' tutorial and there does not appear to be a "Shoot" cue, but I've been able to get kills from 16 NM. The missile will loft to about close to 15K from shot at 5K as per the practice mission, but beyond that, the missile detonates short of the target...Anyone know if there's a Shoot Cue other than the colored in boxed X cue?
  9. Ok, here's the Track...please verify HornetStrike_8_BUG.trk
  10. [REPORTED] Possible HUD Bug on Using MAV When leaving MAV pages in A2G mode and going directly to, say AIM-120 in A2A mode, the AIM-9 reticle/circle appears inside the FOV circle for the AIM-7 or AIM-120, about where the MAV seeker triangle was....if no other confirmation, then will provide track
  11. Close to 150 now
  12. Is the C/U button the only way to unlock target? Or can we still use BST and other ACM modes as well as pinky button (undesignate)?
  13. another quick question, I know that the Cage/Uncage function is also used for the HUD...so just for confirmation sake, placing the radar into A2A mode, will that automatically supercede HUD caging/uncaging? IOW, the Cage/Uncage of the HUD is not functional while in either air or ground attack mode...is this correct?
  14. I agree with this...we used to be able to do this, but in ANY forum there are sycophants and there are constant critics...but these are the extremes...they still have the right to their opinion WITHOUT "dogpile" comments from either side...we're all anxious for the finished product, I think that's safe to say....oh, yeah...one more thing...don't forget to vote Tuesday :)
  15. Thanks for that...I have no room for another version DCS or maps either...but I do have the Caucus and the PG so that looks like it will be good for the F14...thanks again
  16. Can this module be used on the DCS World OB or does it have to be the stable version?
  17. I guess that depends on whether you're a governmental regulations type of guy or a libertarian...:)
  18. Uh, Dr. ED??? There's someone at the door and I don't think it's "Trick or Treaters"....muhahahaha
  19. Yep, make that three for manual (dead on) .... auto sux
  20. Look into Acronis True Image Software...great for not only backing up game folders but also for cloning entire volumes and drives....transferring from HDD >> SSD and SSD >> SSD...I just recently did an over all integrity test of my systems physical drives and found that my while all my drives are healthy, my main OS drive was listed at 89%...it's a Kingston SSD but dated, so now I've ordered a new Samsung EVO SSD that uses a 2.5" PCIe adapter card and when my current system drive starts to reach it's end of life, I'll be able to switch over to the 500GB SSD using the Acronis software to a new bootable OS drive seamlessly
  21. What terrains can be used for this? Will it be compatible with DCS WorldOpen Beta?
  22. Yeah, I'd check this first...Uncheck "Tooltips" under Gameplay tab in settings (Options) OR if you're referring to the Training Mission Instructions, these will require editing of the missions themselves. I'd just ignore them if it's the latter case
  23. You'll end up in orbit....:)
