solved Temp Loss of Collective, Cyclic, Rudder
Mikkall replied to Mikkall's topic in Bugs and Problems
This ought to do it. Just happened dcs.log -
I'm occassionally losing my controls temporarily while flying (MP for sure, not sure SP). I know it can seem like the controls aren't responding when screwing up the transition to hover, however,... 3rd time tonight I watched... there's NO Stick/Cyclic/Rudder movement (visually) whatsoever as I fight these controls. And it's not always when slow/transitioning. Once tonight I was flying a low/slow small orbit when the loss happened. It was trimmed just right and I flew for maybe 30sec like that, then got controls back. Is this possibly a lag related issue? Never ever USED to happen, but I just started flying the UH-1 again recently.

TrackIR 'Pause' Now (unwanted) Centers View
Mikkall replied to wilbur81's topic in View and Spotting Bugs
It's not exactly TrackIR "Pause" that's happening to me. Hitting Pause works for about 2 seconds, then view returns to center. Would really like to know why, and if it can be fixed to remain paused (on current view). -
Trackir 5, paused brings me back to the center view
Mikkall replied to Lenux's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Wondering if there was ever any resolution to this problem. I know for a fact I USED to be able to pause TRACKIR in order to focus on a particular area in the cockpit. I can't anymore. Seem's as though there used to be a pause function in the DCS keymapper (controls setup), but I could be thinking of another game. For sure though, I used to be able to pause my view without the default return-to-center function kicking in. Any help would be appreciated -
Ok Well, fiddled with the override switch and it hasn't done it since. Thanks all

Been awhile since I messed with the Viper. But tonight, I set up with a couple Mk-84s & Rockets. Set up to drop the the Mk-84s in CCIP as a "Pair". Switched to A-G, everything looked good and correct. When I hit the Weapon Release, the bombs came off, but so did a Sidewinder. When I rolled back in to loose some rockets... the other sidewinder launched along with the Rockets. Did the same thing with 12 Snakeyes loaded (along with 2 Sidewinders).... same thing, except this time, after dropping all 12 Snakeyes (AND) 1 sidewinder... the other missile never launched with the pickle button (had no other weapons). Very odd Glitch or am I missing something?

Fixed Thank you dburne for responding. So, after chasing this infuriating issue for 3 freeking days.... it was the DP cable plug all along. SO, should anyone have (or plans to get) a Samsung G5 UltraWide, know that you don't just have to "firmly seat", or "push harder than normal" to connect to the DP port. It's more like, "Set to RAMMING speed". And don't think I didn't (try to) reconnect a dozen or more times... and I DID use more force than I thought was necessary. Tonight I happened to be in a position (all leaned over and looking at it as the port sort of hidden and VERY tightly fit) to SEE it, I saw the problem and recalled it being somewhat fussy the first time I plugged it in. <sigh> Oh and FWIW... My other montior is an MSI Optic AG43CQ. About 4mo ago it started getting all blotchy and full of lines. Only remedy I could figure out was to lower the refresh and disable Freesync... and that didn't work well at all. The monitor still did it every time I started the computer. The monitor acted like it needed to "warm up". This hasn't happened since I installed the G2... and I even maxed the refresh back. Go figure.
-
Unfortunately, I already tried that having looked at some "Speedy" guys fixes/optimizations (which I can't freekin find now, confound it!). Still nothing from the second monitor... but it's acting (Win10/Monitor/Cable... who knows at this point). I think I'm going to remove the Nvidia drivers/software and reinstall. That's about all I have left, I think.

I have been running multiple monitors for years. I JUST got a Reverb G2 and am pretty happy with it. Still have a ways to go figuring out all the settings, but it's coming along nicely. That said, I plan to continue running the game on my monitors usually, as stuff in-game (VR) seems oddly small and well... I can simply see way better on the monitors anyway. The G2 is sort of my go-to novelty at the moment. My monitors are fairly good sized (31.5 & 34) so, I'm sure I'm spoiled. However: After installing the G2, my "Second" monitor will no longer respond. It's as though I've lost all but the DP port my primary monitor is running on. I've tested every combination, including the HDMI ports... nothing. The only way the second monitor will respond is if I take the DP cable from the existing primary and plug into the secondary (which... makes it the primary). NONE of the other ports work now... UNLESS the G2 is plugged-in (and then the G2 works fine). It's not like I want to run multiple monitors WHILE the G2 is plugged in, but I can't even do it when I unplug the G2. (at first, the other monitor was "showing" in the NVIDIA control panel and Settings/Display... but has since disappeared and I can't get Windows to detect it). So the only thing I haven't done is uninstall anything. I'm currently assuming if I uninstall the G2, and/or WMR & SteamVR, all will go back to normal and I'll have my multiple monitor setup back. Am I correct? R9 3950X X570 2080TI 64gb Ram

Done it with the A-10 a-plenty. Just sayin... done LOTS of stuff with the A-10 a-plenty. But like I implied before, every time I walk away from the 16 after a fail, I'm not certain if it's my fault, a bug(s), or the stars & planets aligned incorrectly.

Integrity Check Red: "mods/aircraft/ajs37/bin/ajs37.dll"
Mikkall replied to Mikkall's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yep. Looks like it's Malwarebytes. Did it to both my versions (OB & Release). AND it did it to the SA342.dll as well. Also no warning from MB. -
Specifically, the D's (today). Is it me... or are these pretty much the most janky weapon ever? I honestly can't tell if it's buggy, or simply so full of steps (let's call them "options") that it's near impossible to get everything right all at once. As I understand it, you can use Auto-Handoff. Well, not so much... maybe. Who friggin knows? Sometimes you get the Target Cross on the Hud... sometimes you don't. Did you Boresight? I don't know... I tried, maybe I did. When I've been lucky enough to get the WPN pg AND a target cross on in the area, I can't slow the slew enough to keep it from firing a few km one way or another. Sometimes you can switch from "Pre" to "Vis", occasionally you can't, when it gets stuck on Bore, and you don't remember putting it there, and occasionally you can if you do, or don't. I don't know. I give up. I do, I just don't have the hours to wrap my head around this.

Thanks. Will let ya'll know what I figure out. -
It's just not there anymore. Reinstalled, still not there. What's my best option... Repair? Anything specific? Haven't tried Repair yet as I'm interested in why this may happen?

Not consistent. Repaired once, worked. Didn't work next time. Can't find the file. Help me understand. -
DCS Super Hercules mod by Anubis
Mikkall replied to Eight Ball's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
6.2 is flat out broke for me. -
I almost got it started, once.
-
Wasn't sure where to put this. Just started today. Thought you folks would like to know.
-
And then they worked. Either you aren't allowed GBU's AND Rockets or some bug. I mean, not unusual-at-all bug.
-
Good lord... really? I can't get the BRM's to come off the rail. Oh except for one flight... naturally, they took off for some other location. Had it all set to 1688. This thing used to be fun. What the heck happened?
-
Hi So, I load up a bunch of GBU-38s in PP mode with coordinates while on the ground. Take off.... nothing. Must reload all data. Am I doing something wrong? Is it only possible to program PP mode while airborne? I think it worked "once" but I haven't a clue what I did different. Thanks Mike

Hello Hope I'm in the right place for this. So, occasionally while in DCS (MP... don't know if happens in SP) I'll be doing my thing, then when I hit a keyboard command, I get a strange electronic noise coming from the speakers. Honestly, it sounds a lot like R2D2. In the past it's been sort of, mild and I didn't pay a lot of attention to it, didn't notice anything "else" wrong. Tonight, I was in the middle of fighting an AI F-5, had just fired off a few rockets on ground attack when he show'd up. I don't know what key on the keyboard or why I hit it but I did, R2D2 talked to me, then at some point I got a Sidewinder tone, pulled the trigger... nothing. Switched to guns, pulled trigger... nothing. So I got to poking around and sure enough... keyboard wasn't responding. Maybe 10 seconds... then it was. Only thing that jumps out at me is I had recently moved my (both USB) keyboard & Mouse from the USB ports on back of the computer to a HUB I have. Did this because my other system I just built didn't have either so I needed to move from one to the other (system) easily. That's it. This system is fairly new, although the Hub is maybe 2yrs old. The system is AMD 3950x / X570 /64g Ram Using on-board Audio 2080TI Wireless headset Thrustmaster Warthog w/CH Pedals Not sure of keyboard... Corsair Gaming thing I think Wish I could say I first noticed the noise BEFORE I moved the keyboard/mouse... but I don't remember when I first heard it. I DO know that it's happened when hitting a key a lot of times over and over or holding it down for an extended period... sort of like that old PITA sticky-key message you used to get from windows when doing it. What.... 3+ hours and nobodies yet had the decency to throw this poor guy the standard answer? Ya'll just being meaner'n normal.

That would be super really great! No really, just "something" would be nice. Even "read the manual" would work. I DID find something... they talked about "call a wake up". They didn't actually say what that was, or how, just do it and it might work sometimes maybe. Possibly a command with VIACOM... still don't know WHAT it's doing though.
