  1. ....Well that's no fun! :pilotfly:
  2. My apologies... didn't notice the Bugs & Problems header.
  3. Good to know I'm not the only one. Happening in MP and SP for me. It SEEMS like it has to do either with the Nav system/Data Cartridge or maybe the BK-90s.
  4. x6 tries now, following a single successful F-18 sortie in MP. Did one more in SP and the same thing happened. Viggen starts fine. Usually about the time I'm about to roll out of the hangar, CTD. No crash dialogue. I was trying to use F10 map marks for Nav and thought that might be the problem. So, I did a couple of tries by manually inputting Nav information. No change. Also, each and every time, I had loaded BK-90's. Didn't attempt anything else. Logs.rar
  5. Took the Viggen out last night and the Kneeboard (what initially caused me to notice the problem) worked fine... as did Trim controls. Both still show duplicates int he controls setup. Weird stuff, even the bug is buggy.
  6. And I downloaded DCS-Stable, installed Viggen, 14, 18 and the problem showed up there. C'mon ED, this is game breaking stuff.
  7. Also wishing for a solution here. This hit me today when I fired up DCS. Last night, everything was running normally, with one exception. When I tried to scroll the Data Cartridge it simply wouldn't (Lctrl-Lalt-C). I checked the controls a few times but no go. On a whim, I mapped that control to a toggle on my TM Warthog throttle... it worked. I ran a couple of missions and logged off. When I got DCS running today, I found the auto-pilot disengage button (warthog throt) wasn't working on the F-14. So I mapped it to the RDR-ALTM toggle on the Throttle, and it worked. After the mission I checked the controls and found it was still mapped to the original button (but, no dual-yellow lines). Then I got the Viggen going and found I couldn't turn pages on the kneeboard... checked controls and bingo, lotsa dual-yellow lines. I briefly skimmed through and saw a few others... Mig-21, C. Eagle, J11. REALLY would like to get some answers here. This kinda screws everything up.
  8. Nice My new favorite DCS server! Not that I had one before as I've been bouncing around for years preferring SP. The Fraternity has changed my mind. Good job!
  9. Yep. Fixed. I thought it was patched before. The internal updater had failed. Good as gold now.
  10. Loss of controls was Viacom. Appears it's been fixed.
  11. Well I'll be damned. Yep. Gosh dangit, Viacom greatly exaggerates the immersion. GAAAAAH!!!
  12. Been having the CTD (no crash dialog) for awhile. No big deal really as I usually get an hour or more of DCS before it happens (posted logs etc in the Bugs-Game Crash thread). Then today happened. Lost all controls from Keyboard, HOTAS and TRACKIR(which didn't work but "knew" DCS was running). Mouse and cockpit clicks worked fine. All working OUTSIDE the DCS, just not in it. Deleted/Reinstalled the F-14 and it worked, once. Then back to no input. Ran an updater repair on DCS and it worked... except now the Jester "Wheel" won't show up, most of the time. (everything is updated by the way). Sheesh.... Since the Tomcat was released, I've had a blast with it. VERY LITTLE in the way of problems/bugs etc, except for the CTD which, lets be honest, it's DCS. The Tomcat isn't unique to that. Today, miserable. I've been after it for 5hrs now and, I'm done with it. Back to the Mig-19 for awhile, this is just too much.
  13. Well this is just dandy. After the CTD I posted (in the quote) earlier, I just fired the DCS up again. F-14, MP/SP, multiple attempts. It loads, it starts. NO keyboard. NO Warthog HOTAS. Mouse works, buttons and switches work in cockpit, but that's it. Yay. I "logged out" of game, logged back in and tried the F-18. Works fine. Switched to a F-14 mission I made... same problem. WHAT have you guys done? dcs.rar
  14. Thanks for the clue rake. On a side note, my most recent error (CTD) had something to do with "invalid params" regarding the wing-stress-groan sound. Just sayin. One before that was also a sound error.
  15. And another one Hey, does this help? Well anyway, attached Log. Same routine as the ones I sent a few days agao (this thread). Single Player. F-14. CTD, no crash dialog. Just a short freeze then poof to desktop UPDATED. Looks sound related. dcs.rar
  16. Here's the next one. Near same as above, except Single Player this time. log.rar
  17. CTD Last two times I've had DCS running. F-14 both times. Multiplayer both times. Was on something like an hour both times. No Crash Reporting Tool either time. Everything seems to be going fine, and poof... DCS is gone. I think both times I was messing with Sidewinders (after having fired 3 prior in the latest crash). Most recent logs attached. Logs.rar
  18. I cold start unless I'm doing serious training... or, well, training to start the aircraft.
  19. True. However, I'd be happy if they'd (all of them) stop estimating anything more specific than the YEAR of the release date. This delay thing has become cliche, and tiresome.
  20. I thought the lack of "Red Stuff" was mostly about Leagle-Beagle-Secret-Government-Shyster BS. I mean, if that's the case, I understand completely.
  21. Make your own mission(s). Air-start----fly it. Worry bout takeoff/landing and the rest later.
  22. Every MP server I've been on so far... one the Kneeboard Groundcrew settings I see "Not close enough to ground crew". Any significance? Still able to turn on ground power and rearm/refuel...
  23. At this point... I'm stuck between "Am I doing something wrong" and "Is it the two updates in the last two days" and "Is it all borked". So much going on at the moment there's no telling.
