Quick google search highlights capabilities, whether implemented or not is another story given the litening/lantirn combo we currently have.

Mission 7 - what a ride! FCR - blind, TGP blind.
Carbon715 replied to Jack Chief's topic in F-16C Arctic Thunder Campaign
Zero out deltas, FCR Mark point at the given reference -
boresight at 3 to 5 - not 7 Boresighting Mavericks at 7nm
Carbon715 replied to Hyperlynx's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yeah I should be able to do one this evening. -
Just tried with latest patch, still no good for bore sighting on air target unfortunately
-
Probably, same feeling when I went to land. First time flying in two patches so experienced these both in a flight.

Mission 06 - what does it mean to keep AAA busy.
Carbon715 replied to Jack Chief's topic in F-16C Arctic Thunder Campaign
The idea is, do whatever you can do to be the target. The goal is to be shot at. A wild weasel. Never get slow, risk increases exponentially at that point, fast and unpredictable is the key. Jink and reversals. -
Hence why I preach the scariest and most dangerous thing in DCS is your AI wingman.
-
Just bringing light to this, I was doing some AAR while making an Iraq showcase video and noticed the aircraft yawing as roll was input with AR door open. I'll make a track when I get home.

Ok great

Comments after Mission 03 - Love it.
Carbon715 replied to Jack Chief's topic in F-16C Arctic Thunder Campaign
I agree, mission 3 was a good one, CAP, to Intercept, to Tanking, to CSAR of all things. Good fun. -
Are you referring that it works on the test branch then? So are you saying theav is Boresighting to the TGP LOS essentially? That would make it work better but I feel it's not correct as there should be some form of parallax, which is why you Boresight to a distance (the intersection of LOS) if that makes sense. Regardless I just want it to work on moving targets, for instance your wingman

Mig 31, what tactic to use to defeat it?

Well, had a student on night fly use a reg white light on walk around / start. Color it realistic I guess. First in 15 years seen.

Clear MFL is functional, I have yet to get a single MFL to need it! (Joking) In addition to RALT bit, you can add, Mids bit, UFC bit, MMC bit etc etc..
-
Yeah, air boresight still offsets. It's a shame. Anything moving that's being Boresight on causes a delta from the point of TMS up on TGP to track to hitting bsgt after Mav lock. Static objects are fine.

The short and sweet is start 2 for normal ops, start one of you have a JFS that might/or is prone to blow a start and it's not the end of the flying day. Reason being start 1 if you blow the start you have one more chance before the crew chief starts questioning his life choices for 5 minutes. In the 80gs there is a theory of operation as to why exactly but I don't remember it enough to quote it right now.

F-16 Arctic Thunder - Read this before playing

According to the CM-1 MIDS LVT knob -ON (at least 10 seconds after powering MMC) There's a few more notes on it after this. Also this whole GPS time came about as a result of aligning in a hardened shelter. I think this has been fixed and that's not needed anymore yet I still see it come up. If it still happens then yes you would sync when taxiing out of said hardened shelter. -
First, thank you. I appreciate all that. Second and to not hijack the thread going forward, I'm not sure exactly sure the policy, only what I have observed and gathered personally. Just situational and small things between night and day.

Yes, 2 different keybinds iirc for dcs...one is a xmit UHF and one is like UHF comms menu ..that's the one you want. Same goes for vhf....I use the xmit UHF/vhf in conjunction with like SRS MP so I can visually see what I'm xmitting on without the overlay, but use the comms menu keybind for SP

Cz will indeed get you if you aren't paying attention. But judging by the screenshot, I don't see cz on his hsd so that's not it. I don't see why he would slew from that point on

Very well done campaign, it was great working with you testing it out. Also yes, plenty of fuel for missions!
