reported F-16 Excessive AoA in level flight
Carbon715 replied to Exorcet's topic in Bugs and Problems
I posted some test results from earlier in another thread, may do good here. All using wing tanks and little over half load of fuel. Threw on burner to get to around .88 to .9 mach then into mil power and left it. Alt Hold at 25k or 30k ft depending on the test and just fast forwarded the mission until speed steadied. Read left to right...Altitude, mach speed ag ordinance T2 (Wing tanks) (all pods except for A2A config with wing tanks test) aa ordinance 2 aim 120c's and 2 9x's and fuel flow in pounds per hour -
Did a couple of tests at 25 and 30k altitude....read left to right (altitude, mach, ag ordinance, t2 (2 wing tanks) p31 (tgp) hts ecm long pod, then a2a ordinance, longs are 120c short 9x, then fuel flow pounds per hour..... used burner to .88 or .9 ish mach then mil power...then fast fowarded (straight and level)

My observation was .65 at 30k and .7 mach at 25k seems a bit extreme. If its right so be it, but its not extremely heavy like i have 4 105s, or 2 31s or 6 mk 82s loaded for ordinance. Im all for realistic so if it is thats cool...just seems a touch slow for mil power

What happened in regards to cruise at a given altitude...for instance loaded up with 4 gbu 38s, 2 wing bags, HTS, ECM long, TGP 2 aim 120c and 2 9x im getting .65mach at 30k and .7 at 25k...all with 6 degree aoa. This is after decelerating from full ab in mil power and about 6500lbs of gas. Before patch this load out would cruise around .8mach or so. I constantly was checking to see if my boards were out. Im not posting as a bug as I dont know but who knows...it just feels off. Good job on the rate fight though

I just noticed this last night, 2 bags , 4 38s, hts,tpg,alq long, 2 long 2 short...fl300 and barely sustaining .65mach at mil....FL 250 was .69 to .7 mach...i was scratching my head

They are definitely swapped (bhot and whot) as for the mfd export....been like that for a while, just the way dcs exports...its very bad in night ops

the only gauges that will read accurately prior to generator coming online is Hydrazine, RPM, FTIT

Attached is a track for when finding a target at everyones favorite auxillary airfield. Slave STPT 4 (tgt airfield) > Find target on GM > going DBS2 A1 > Freeze > cursor over and create FTT and bring up markpoint page and creating a markpoint. TMS down on SOI FCR and unfreeze and repeat. At first I was thinking it was because I didn't cursor zero after initial point, but initial markpoint is off a bit. CZ will zero out the spi to the markpoint thats already wierdly offset from the FTT it was created from. Hope it makes sense, I don't know how else to describe. Again this was done in FRZ as to avoid the snap back from zeroing in on target and the time it takes to refresh AG RADAR GM Freeze not working huge offset.trk

need track replay CBU 105 impossible to release
Carbon715 replied to RICARDOHD's topic in Bugs and Problems
No So if you switch from another weapon to the 105 you have to align again currently...release will not happen until its aligned again -

cannot reproduce and missing track file JDAMs inaccurate
Carbon715 replied to lukynoo92's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
yeah looks like he did cz at :24 / :25. My two cents is to also start lasing too, to get updated more precise coordinates - you were in range for it but pickling off 4, thats kind of a big spread for sure so I dunno -
cannot reproduce MAV PRE does not handoff in TGP AUTO
Carbon715 replied to vctpil's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Yeah better to do a manual handoff in area track on CCD -
Yeah it's bad with external mfds but temporary from what's said...Saif... hang in there

correct as is Parking brake - Antiskid transition
Carbon715 replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
The only fix for your issue I can see is for ED to implement a "special" parking brake antiskid control bind kinda how some of the other switches are in there binding where back to center or not held in place will go back to the original setting....if that makes sense...kinda like their dogfight - center binding and msl override center Ok that's interesting then if center position has an assignable button...I'm not sure then -
correct as is Parking brake - Antiskid transition
Carbon715 replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
*The reason it works cold and dark is because there is no energy to the in sim switch so it falls back to antiskid when your physical switch goes back to center* -
correct as is Parking brake - Antiskid transition
Carbon715 replied to 84-Simba's topic in Bugs and Problems
So anytime battery is applied or main power, parking brake will be held in position magnetically (this is one of our steps for engine running in RL, main power and parking brake on) throttle advanced slightly will disengage whether engine power is there or not...as for parking brake to anti skid, if you are using a physical toggle I'm not sure but I'm always able to left click to antiskid once I'm ready to taxi. The only thing I can think of since you said a 3 way switch is if your 3 way switch has a logic button asigned to mid position...if it does not I don't think you will be able to go back to antiskid like that... That mid or center position has to be assigned to anti skid -
A good crew chief already has the switches set, although even dcs has a few missed...big ones are lighting norm, anti col 1, but wing/tail and fuselage to brt(dim at night),(flash during day, steady at night) eng feed norm, epu off (norm in dcs) o2 switch to PBG (pressure breathing for G), hot mic, tacan/ils off

correct as is AG Radar Snowplow behavior
Carbon715 replied to Carbon715's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok that's probably the issue as I go to A3 asimuth which has the radar go to the stpt instead of airplane fixed -
correct as is AG Radar Snowplow behavior
Carbon715 replied to Carbon715's topic in Bugs and Problems
Ok, I can see that. My issue was that entering snowplow the cursor goes half range 0 azimuth. Now turn 90 deg or so left or right, cursor remains however no map feed ahead of you, is my issue and was curious about it...seems that the radar stays slaved to stpt regardless if in sp or not
