  1. Yes, you can. I found out the hard way lol. Had a mission set up where I take off from the carrier, and when I landed at an airfield, I ended up all over the place. Finally figured out it was anti-skid, and THAT's how real this sim gets! :smilewink:
  2. At speed, AOA, full flaps. I've never had an issue once I learned that. If you take off from a carrier, be sure to turn on anti-skid, or else you will skid right off the runway on landing.
  3. I keep having to reauthorize these two every time I boot up OB.
  4. Let's just keep this in mind,m please.
  5. Yeah...
  6. I think it's safe you say that this is a once-in-a-lifetime event for ED, not to be compared to any other sale or free trial period. It's what's called an EXCEPTIONAL EXCEPTION (<-- I came up with that all on my own!). So just chilax and enjoy it. Because no one saw COVID-19 having this kind of impact on our lives when we spent money on modules in the past.
  7. I don't see any announcement, but I see sales prices!
  8. Always cold start and always land.
  9. Thanks BIGNEWY!
  10. dcs.log-20200310-224844.zip
  11. Is this located in the Logs directory in Saved Games folder?
  12. I know...don't crash! LOL I have a mission saved in my missions. The last two times I flew it, my stores kept respawning. And if I crash (while trying something new), the program crashes as well. This is in OB 2.5.6 current. Is this a known thing? Maybe I just need to delete my saved missions and set them up from scratch?
  13. It was certainly pretty frustrating to figure out. Being that I don't need GeForce Experience, I just uninstalled it. @Sn8ke_iis - which settings are you referring to? Prior to uninstalling, I browsed through the settings in GE and didn't see anything that stood out.
  14. I got a new desktop last week and the screensaver and sleep timers would not work. Screensaver would not turn on, and the PC would not switch to sleep mode. After much research (and trying everything under the sun almost!) I discovered the culprit. The latest version of NVIDIA Experience. It must keep something running in the background that prevents the screensaver from coming on and the pc from entering sleep mode. I uninstalled it - don't need it anyhow - and both issues are resolved. I hope this helps out any of you experiencing the same thing.
  15. Loving it, buddy! I took the hornet down to the deck, about 50' from it, not a single snag. Did it over grassy terrain and then over the ocean to give it a fair shake. I need to use the FPS pop up window to check the data. I'll try that tonight. Update: getting 76 fps right now. I might be able to tweak some things for more. But very happy with the performance.
  16. I was watching a Growling Sidewinder vid, he was coming close to the ground and saved it, but Jester ejected! GS finished the dogfight without a canopy! LOL
  17. Are you using VoiceAttack/Viacom Pro? Asking because I am experiencing the same thing. If you are NOT using VA, then the issue is probably localized to the release. At least it would narrow down the search.
  18. Experiencing something similar. I change the frequency to destination airfield, but the radio changes to M and radios my departed airfield. In F-18 also.
  19. Nevermind. I recopied it over and my stats are back. thanks fellas!
  20. I copied over the entire saved games folder and my stats didn't come over. Is it in the program folder?
  21. I've just upgraded to a new PC. I migrated my missions over and reinstalled all the modules. Where is the logbook data stored? I thought it would be in saved games, but I copied all the data from the folders to my new PC and my pilot info is not current.
  22. I would imagine that the request startup is more general for use, and therefore the reason it is present at all in the hornet module. I am glad to get the info you guys are updating us on, so now I won't waste time requesting a startup in the hornet.
  23. Do you have OB checked in Vaicom Pro config? It's at the end of the custom dcs location line/box.
  24. Ok, thanks. I will have two installs. I thought it strange when I noticed the combined thing that happened via the utility. I will configure the utility to point to each install.
  25. I notice that when sing the Updater Utility, all the files are combined into one directory. Whether I update to OB or the Stable Release. Is this a recipe for something bad to happen, or is this designed to streamline switching between the two? I'm upgrading my system this week; it will have a 2TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. I am leaning to simply install both releases separately - no switching via Updater Utility. However, if the combined folder is no big deal, no issue, then I won't use up the extra space on the drive.
