  1. What do you mean "I don't support your system"? I go to court when I have to. :music_whistling:
  2. It's like having pets: You command a dog, but a cat commands you :director:;)
  3. Konichi wa Betting San :smartass:. You will get there if you enjoy this sim. Although I play flight sims since US Navy Fighters (first hover experiences with the AV-8B Harrier) and Falcon 4.0 since it came out in '98. Now you think "what an ace", right? A clear no! Because as I first bought BS, I was like a little baby making its' first steps. I was so astonished how different it was. Due to lack of time I can't spend the amount of time training with my Sim as it would be necessary to do (sorry for my english, folks, I've just got up. Yawn!!!!). Let me tell you at what level I am: I can start up,fly (applause), land, eject, die, crash, shoot up some tanks, try to evade some bad rockets, get shot at, get shot down, fly formations, curse, laugh, cry and so on. I'm still having serious problems with the abris and several logical understandings how things work in the sim. But all these things give me the power to try out these things as soon as I have time for my BS. So you're not alone here and you get a lot of help to any question you have in this forum. I post rarely (time thing), but read a lot at work (unfortunately I can't play at work) and learn a lot, just to try that out when back at home. Sayonara, Safak Celik
  4. Buenos Dias, The complexity of this game -it's not really a game, though- is exactly what makes my heart and those of the other hardcore-simmers beat faster when taking place in front of the Monitor. I love it! The price of being able to control this beast is a sweating a** and many many hours in your new office (cockpit), some ejections and even some deaths (Rust In Peace). After that phase you can go over to shooting some tanks. Then you'll love it as all others in here do. You can compare it to cooking vs. fast food. You spend more time in the kitchen cooking. It takes time to learn, but after that you know what a real meal is and what you have been missing all the time. The only more realistic sim is Falcon 4.0 (Allied Force), because it has dynamic campaign and communication is better and more detailed, just to name two. Have fun and enjoy it. This is an order :police:!! It's worth the time you spend learning to control your chopper. After you did, you'll never want to go back again:pilotfly:.
  5. That's one of the points why I think that Falcon 4 is still unmatched regarding realism, mission planing/preparation and dynamic campaign:joystick:. And realism is key to me. Although you have more friendly territory fly over until reaching the action point when war goes on, it's never become boring. You have so many things to check and prepare in the cockpit that time passes very quickly. I wished Lock On had this too. I enjoy the time in the Hokum-cockpit very much. Standing ovations to the BS-Team. Great, really great. They could implement an option into Lock On, so that you can choose whether you want to start on the Airfield, or in the air, 15 minutes away from the action point. I think this would be important for all simmers that don't want to be overruled in a phase of a mission which I personally like very much:pilotfly:. Just my 3 cents. Take it, or leave it ;)
  6. No issues. Had no single freeze, although I thought it could due to SLI activated by default in my system. I'm having some trouble in general with my OS and will reinstall it soon, but no single crash/freeze while playing BS. I have to mention that I have'nt played online yet, so I can only share my experience in single-player mode. Athlon 64 X2 6400 (2x3,2 GHz), ASUS M2n32 SLI Deluxe, Kingston HyperX 444-12 (4x1 GB), XFX Geforce 8800 GT Alpha Dog (Dual SLI), WinXP Pro x86 (SP3) and WinVista Ultimate x64 (installed on Vista, will give XP a try soon)
  7. Errrr. I think it's bellissimo or bellissima.:music_whistling: Ciao e ragazzi.
  8. My pilot always survives but gets a bloody nose from the walls he always runs into :D. Due to my bad quoting capabilities in the beginning of m,y forum-life maybe a question was not read and remained unanswered. I saw pictures of Havocs with (optional) ball-sensors on the rotor mast. Is'nt that a "Longbowski";)?
  9. Sorry. Having some problems with the quoting procedures. Be patient ;). Sounds plausible. Especially with exports they can earn a lot of money. Sukhoi showed how successful they can be (SU-30MK/I/K/M) and the Hokum with its cheaper price would be the ideal Heli for export.
  10. >> << Thanx for the input. System needs more data. Start transfer.:book:
  11. Sounds nice but I think this thread is only about fixed-wing aircraft.:pilotfly:
  12. Buenos dias amigos and amigas (btw. Are there any Black Sharktresses in the Forum?) As we all know the Hokum finally entered regular service (in case you should'nt know :music_whistling:..) as the Havoc (Mi-28N). My question is, why both? It's said that the Hokum is for special operations and the Havoc for regular service. It seems, although Im not familiar with the Havoc details, that the Havoc has at least two advantages and one disadvantage compared with the Hokum. 1st advantage: Longbow radar. 2nd advantage: fully movable cannon like in the Apache. Does it have a RWR??? Disadvandage: Missing ejection-seat. Don't get me wrong, cuz I love the Hokum but why would one chose the Hokum and what would the "special-ops" be so that it and not the Havoc would be sent on a mission? The Havoc looks really evil, dont you think so too:evil:? A very monstrous appearance. Thanx in advance guys and girls. See ya.
  13. That's what I meant with road base. This would add a new level of realism and difficulty into this sim. And if it should be the Sukhoi or MiG family it should be the new versions with glass cockpit (Su-27 SMK-SK, Su-30MKI, Su-35, MiG 35). Best served with a bit of thrust vectoring (2D-3D):pilotfly: :music_whistling: Before I forget, since the days of US Navy Fighters (640:480. What a resolution ;)), I ache for a realistic AV-8B, or whatever harrier sim. Old and slow but a great and beautiful plane. Also suitable for motorway and carrier ops. By the way. I love the sound of the engine right after it lands vertically and throttles back to idle. Thats heavy metal to me. Since the Hokum I'm hungry for more. I think we all feel the same, right? So DC creators: Its your fault. You presented the meal and now we're hungry for dessert. Keep up the great work. Nice to know that there still are real aviation enthusiasts that say realism prior to anything. I'll post my impressions of this sim soon in the appropriate topic. Applause.. applause....
  14. I think the Rafale would be a nice option. Carrier ops and multirole but also classified so I don't think that much original information will be given to create a new Fighter module for DCS. SU-2x-3x with clickable 6dof cockpit must be hot but i still go for The JAS39 Gripen. Starting and landing on road bases hidden between high trees must be a thrill. I'd say this plane is exotic enough to win a place in DCS. F-16??? Play Falcon 4.0
  15. Gripen: For its' road base characteristics. Starts and landings will be a thrill. Harrier: Good old beautiful hover plane. Sukhoi SU-27 Family/MiG 29: Would like to have them in DCS' level of realism, 6DoF and clickable 3d-cockpit. What an experience it must be. MiG 21: Why not? Afaik it has never been simulated. Thats enough for first.:pilotfly:
