  1. Any squirrel-lover would hate them after such a rain. It even hurts when thinking about it :shocking:.
  2. Which one? The nuclear missile in your signature? No bad idea. DCS: Minuteman, or DCS: Pershing.
  3. Thanks Ruggbutt. I like your review, too and mentioning that "Logitech has done its' homework a million times" ;). Are children working in that company, by the way ;)? Just kidding. Not to be taken seriously. Although i have already had failed my decision to buy the stick as soon as I've heard of it and already ordered it, i've gained a more detailed insight of what's awaiting me by your review. Thanx again. How often it happened to me that after engaging the autopilot at low level a short sneeze shook my body and arm and... you surely know the next step (3x Ctrl+E).
  4. I think there's even a film on that :drunk:. Yeah, it can be a real cruel bitch :).
  5. Is a military relevance important for the book or do you accept suggestions from every corner of literature?
  6. Bad Debio. Very very bad Debio!!! Arghhh. I need my heart-pills :shocking:.
  7. You are. Or maybe not?!?!? Well as you mentioned AH-64 has been done before, but would be a thrill to play it in this DCS-Detail. I personally love russian engineering and my vote(s) go to MI-24 and Mi-28. Last one is my favorite (the "N"-version). What wonders me, is that we were told that most of them are still classified and would'nt have a chance of appearing in a DCS-module. Why are we being asked which we'd want which we definitely would'nt get? It's like offering a kid a candy on a stick and immediately pull it away again as it wants to grab for it. You know what happens afterwards: Lots of tears and a kid (simmer) needing psychological treatment for the rest of its' life. Please don't do that....
  8. Oh my god. Man. You are lucky that no serious and permanent injuries were left (Knocking on carbon fiber). Can you post a .trk file of this accident :hehe:? And what's the morale of this story? Always use V-Brakes or take a cab. It's better to squeeze a finger than blinding an eye. I had a very stupid and very painful accident two weeks ago. I was hired as a photographer to a wedding. And that it was a friend of mine i was allowed to drink and enjoy it as a guest too. Then late at night we all were quite drunk and I climbed onto the table to shoot some photos from the "bird-perspective". As I thought i was finished up there (at least I thought that I thought it) i tried to climb down by stepping on a chair that was in front of the table. Stupid me (stupid alcohol) i stepped on the side of the chair and it slipped away. The gravity gave me the rest and proved that Sir Isaac Newton was right. I wend straight down, landed on my right hand and broke my small finger. Bumped against the table corner and broke my lower right rib and injured a friend that wanted to catch me. Of course I realized it just the next day. They told me that I continued taking pictures that night as if nothing had happened. I think I should always strap on an ejection seat. Would help me a lot avoiding further incidents with gravity. One thing that I'm really proud of is, that my reflexes are excellent under any circumstances when it comes to saving my beloved camera. They told me, as I "crashed", my hand which held the camera was showing a perfect 12 o'clock position and saved this expensive piece of metal and glass. I could fall down a cliff and the only thing that survives would be my camera, I guess. ED!!! You see how much I love this sim? I play it even with a broken finger and a broken rib. If this isn't love, what else is? I think you should send me a "purple heart" at least. And if you have connections to Hollywood, an Oscar would also be nice for "best stunt action". Now it's your turn again.
  9. Seems like we have all perfect pilots in here ;). That's good, indeed. Then I'll regularly feed you with my stupid accidents with time :inv:.
  10. Aaaaahhhahhhahhhahhhahhaaaaaa......:megalol: Oh I got a good one "How long does a German girl stay a virgin? As long as she can run faster than her father and brother."
  11. Hi everyone. After having so many serious conversations:smartass:, I decided to open a thread where everyone can talk, discuss, laugh and show their most idiotic mishaps. We can have some fun in here, learn from eachothers' accidents and make jokes about eachothers mishaps:megalol:. I guess this thread can be described as a car accident: Although it's horrible, you can't look away :shocking:. I wouldn't start this thread without showing one of mine first. In this track you can see a beautiful takeoff followed by a so called "carussel-maneouver" aka "Toxic Waltz" aka "Why drink and drive when you can smoke and fly?" :smoke:. What do you learn from this? -Trust your instruments, but don't watch them all the time-. "Kids. Don't do this at home!" Allrighty then. Show me what you got. Mission Safak Open Your Eyes.trk
  12. Sure. There are things you can live with and get used to. But it still is a difference and you surely know what I mean. But As a falconeer you surely agree with my wish for more detailed and authentic communication options. I would want to know what damage my wingmen got and to give them more detailed attack-orders. This would eliminate a part of the AI's dumbness by telling them how to attack and what to do.
  13. Women seem to be a minority there too, but I guess there are by far more playing war games (by the way, do you count C&C and The Settlers as a war game?) than highly technical stuff. (I have to force myself not to write any bullsxxt in here. Shhhhhhh... ;)).
  14. Hahahaha...:megalol:. Damn!!! I'll never be able to get rid of this image now. Always screwing up . Other people must think: "what a chauvinist axxhole". I gotta live with it as it seems, right?
  15. Hahaha . The term "Make love, not war" is history,by now. Why having just one when you can have both :D?
  16. OK guys. There was a very unlucky choice of words in my former post . Now it's hard to get it straight again but gimme a try. I'll explain what a mans toy consists of: metal and nowadays composite materials. They are heavy, loud, fast, have enormous fuel consumption and smell like leather and kerosine and are mostly dangerous. Aaaaaand I was just curious how many women/girls share the same interest. Please let me know if there are some passages in this text that could be misunderstood. I hope I did'nt screw it again :D. But it is funny though. lol
  17. Honestly? Yes! I was curious how many women play with a mans' toy. This sounds funny, but with toy I mean the helicopter. And I don't know howelse to explain this. LOL:megalol:. I see it as my toy. Sorry if someone gets it wrong.
  18. Does everyone listen to Britney Spears' music, or makes vacation in Spain? NO!! (thank god). There will always be different tastes. And as long as freaks (sorry guys, i've meant it in a positive way) like us exist, there will be stuff for us. I give myself as an example. Me as a photographer, mainly use film. When I get a job which has to be presented in an hour or so, I have to use digital. But when it comes to photography I only use film. Each kind of film has its own characteristics and no digital cam can compete with that. Digital is getting sharper and sharper and you can "simulate" effects, but film has soul and is "real". The film industry (Fuji and mainly Kodak) are still developing new film material which still fulfill all the analog-lovers' wishes. They sell less, but they still develop excellent stuff for us. I myself am happy being a sim lover and do things most people don't and not a typical this-sells-most-so-I-gotta-play-this-cuz-then-it-must-be-good guy. And for us there will be few, but good sims as long as we exist and ED and LP are around. Remember: only the dead fish swim with the stream.
  19. I took my time before I even touched the trigger. About 15 flight hours or so. I started, flew landed/crashed etc... Can be fun too. My advice for hover practicing is: Open the mission editor, choose an airfield close to the sea and fill it up with stationary vehicles, like various planes and busses. Take of from whereever you desire and fly across the airport. Then try to take a look at those beautiful planes while already in the air, that park on the airfield. Slowly close up, hover, descend ascend, try another perspective. Test your skills by hovering as close as you can on cockpit level. Next step, try to correctly align between two parking planes and land between them. Then take a trip to the city and fly and hover between buildings and try to land on rooftops. In this way you have a lot of visual clues of your speed, position and heigth, because of those objects surrounding you. Add a few oilrigs close to the coast and a fleet that passes parallel to the coastline with 20 kp/h. So you even have moving objects to land on. This makes it a little bit harder. After having successfully landed on the carrier, try a frigate. Much more difficult and a side approach on that frigate makes your skills better. And you'll never get bored, like it can be when landing on a field. All of these above improve your accelerating decelerating, ascending, descending and hovering skills. And getting bored is not part of this training. But if it for one reason does, eject. Thats always fun :smilewink:. Excuse my english, but I'm typing this in record time and don't wanna check my misspellings now ;).
  20. A detailed report will follow as soon as i tested it to the guts.
  21. And that's exactly the reason why I never bought this joystick. Even while testing it "dry" without having it connected to the pc, I noticed this. I was searching for a joystick sensitive and accurate enough to make very very smooth adjustments with a very small dead-zone for a very long time. The only one winning the competition would be the Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar. But it has no force-feedback (a must in my point of view) and dual throttle lever. Ideal for Falcon 4 but not enough and too expensive for a general-use-high-tech joystick. And it has no rudders. My vote goes to Logitech G940. Have'nt tested it yet, but the ideal combination. Can't say if it's accurate, but for that price I hope they did'nt build crap. Can't imagine that, though. I've already ordered it and I pay nothing. I won a voucher from an electronics-market :D. And A trackIR5 has been ordered as well. Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth :notworthy:.
  22. Uncheck the appropriate field in the gameplay menue on the lower right corner and you have the old settings.
  23. Hehe. I feel exactly the same. I forward this compliment right to the others. It started with a serious question and ended (well not yet) with some funny and silly comments. If you could just see me typing with a big grin in my face :D. The people (I'm at my working place at the moment) must think I'm an idiot, smiling at my monitor. Who would have thought that a helicopter can cause such silly thoughts. It must be the effect of the two rotors above our heads (CSS - Coaxial Silliness Syndrome) ;). Life's too short to be serious all the time . Go ahead, or lets start a "silly-thread" (what a rhyme ). Cheers.
  24. I had the same issue. But as I switched back to the old trim routine it was gone again. But I'll give it a try :joystick:. Thanx Itkovian.
