SAITEK X65F NEW CONTROLSYSTEM
Endoplasmic Reticulum replied to huteng's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hi Su-Berkut, If you can call your improvements "laziness" then tell me what you do when "active" ;). I would see your vapor-trails then, I guess. Sounds great. I hope you keep us (or at least me) up to date with your FFB-Rudder-Project. Maybe we could produce a TV-Series called "Cockpit Improvement". I'll ask Tim Taylor if he would want to participate in it ;). No, really. Sounds like we can expect some interesting solutions from your side. Keep up the work. -
SAITEK X65F NEW CONTROLSYSTEM

Me too. Does this mean that we'll have to have a FF rudder pedal as well to keep it displaced after releasing the trim button? Are such pedals available, by the way? -

Always listen to the blind man ;). I think it is FF. I've just cancelled my G940 order to save some more money for the X65F. If the reviews should be excellent, I'll buy it. Definitely time for a new ace-kicking FF-joystick. -

I thought the "F" stands for Force-Feedback and all the others told me that it has FF. Although I "only" have the MS Sidewinder FFB2, I'd never want to change to a non-FF stick. I always wanted to have the Thrustmaster Cougar (excellent stick) but without FF I decided not to pay over 200 Euros for it. I think you make a mistake. We're not talking about rumble-sticks. Real FF is not shaking the stick when firing. A real FF implementation gives you the feel of high G's for instance. My MS Sidewinder, although old, does this very good in Falcon4 AF and i even use it for my Nascar 2003 instead of a wheel. It works great and it does'nt just "rumble". -
Guys! This video is hillarious:megalol:. So this is what one calls "learning by doing" right? Finding the right knob or button in the cockpit can be like searching for a pen in a messies appartment ;). I love this video. You can really see the sweat dropping from the "pilots" forehead. Absolutely great are the views outside the cockpit. On the right, the ejecting pilot and on the left the helicopter with the drunken pilot getting out of control and crashing. A masterpiece. Reminds me of "Police Academy". Call that server "Black Shark Academy" so everyone knows what awaits them there. Not "Reading The FINE Manual" can be so much fun :megalol:.
-
Spider!! Guess what this noise is... "Kachunk!!!" I just closed the door of your cockpit. The only way out is by your ejection-seat ;). Have fun man.

Yeah bro. It seems you're exactly swimming in the same waters where I swim too. Realism is key, so what do you play then?!?!?!?! BS and Raven Shield (and Falcon 4, of course)!!! Glad you like/love it. Welcome to our kerosene smelling world and to your new workingplace: the cockpit!:pilotfly::joystick:

So you'll be a structural engineer in Guantanamo then ? Sorry. It slipped out of me. Take the one you like most and earn that amount you find is enough. I'd go to HAL and work on the SU-30MKI.

A big inspiration for me to pick up the guitar and learn how to play it. Such people will never die. just as Bo Diddley and Cliff Burton. RIP.

Sorry to hear "CE-Mon" :(. Maybe we could call you "Simon" ;)? @ your video: There's a way of saying in Germany. It says: "If stupidity would hurt, you'd be screaming". This really suits to your linked video :megalol:. I've just read the title of the video: Epic ENDO fail! When did you film me? -
Alrighty. Now I can see the pic. I totally agree with you now. Meowwwwww..... Rrrrrrrrr.....:matrix:

SAITEK X65F NEW CONTROLSYSTEM
Endoplasmic Reticulum replied to huteng's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
It would make no sense to buy something new that is promoted as THE ultimate flight control. The disappointment could be huge after buying one before having the ability to compare it with another one (x65F). And as a person being chased by bad luck like a thief being chased by rottweilers, the probability of buying the wrong one that does'nt satisfy my needs, is big. Believe me ;). Broken rib, almost fxxed up finger within a month (ok it happened the same day). If I had been a horse, they would have shot me :gun_sniper:. I'd be very grateful to read all the reviews of the ones that already have bought or will buy the control devices in the future. -

This would mean, I'll have to wait either way. This could become very exciting ;). -
HOTAS Logitech G940
Endoplasmic Reticulum replied to Sokol1_br's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hey guys! After reading some info (gossip) on the Saitek X65F and another review on the G940, I decided to cancel my order and wait until the new X65F comes out. It appears that the accuracy (too big deadzone) is not given. Although my MS-FF2 is a great stick, the deadzone is an issue that I can't overlook and ignore. Although it may be much more expensive and without rudder pedals, if it appears to be better and more accurate I'll give the X65F a new home. And if it should be as rugged as it looks like, you'd have a stick for at least 10-15 years. -
Dual Throttle hotas?
Endoplasmic Reticulum replied to sweinhart3's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
That means, if you hurry too much to buy something new, you might get disappointed. It's better to wait and compare. I almost did the same by ordering the G940. As I read the article on X65F and some issues with the G940, I decided to cancel my order and wait until the X65F comes out. Imagine I'd have bought the G940 and think that it does'nt suit my needs and the X65F seems to be the ultimate stick, I'd be mad at myself, because I did'nt wait. -

Well then, folks. Which one would you buy? Let the price not be a factor in this case. I have ordered my G940 already, but I want something thats very accurate, durable (like MSFFB2) and a good force-feedback implementation. If necessary I will cancel my G940 order to wait for the X65F. -

Some of us seem to have stood model for the AI. And do you know what noise donkeys make in Turkey? "A-Iiiiiiiiii, A-Iiiiiii". No Joke. Ask a turkish donkey if you have doubts. Seems like I have a new nickname :D. I like that. Many interesting things start with "Endo". Yes. Good save on the camera, but my finger is still swollen since then. But when it comes to my cameras, I'm like a female tiger defending its' babies :bash:. -
That's true, indeed, but it wasn't easy flying anyway. It's like in a relationship: Communication is key. Otherwise your wife will leave you or your wingman will get shot down :D. A few more comm-options would'nt do any harm but would make this sim "feel" more realistic in my oppinion.

Can't see a posted picture.

I did, but you gave examples with military content, so I counted 1 and 3 together and unfortunately the result was 433 ;). I'm a big fan of Sir Peter Ustinov in any aspect. I've recently finished his book "The Old Man and Mr. Smith". I love the way he writes and tells stories. Very funny (with style). The beginning is like this: An old man, who spells his name "G.O.D." and his fella, a short, fat guy get arrested in New York as they give out false money as they check into a hotel. They get chased all around the World by the FBI since they break out. It really is a great book. You'll enjoy it at least as much as I did (and will again). Don't ask, just buy it.
