  1. Yeah linked worked - i didnt even see it on my iphone shitty little screen. Wow that looks awesome, lovely pit mate!! I cant believe you 3 x 55" but cant find 500 for some lilliputs ;-) So I dont recall your build thread?
  2. What indicators are you talking about mate? Specific Aircraft/DCS/Flaming Cliffs?
  3. I can't see it at the moment the video isn't playing in my iPad. Have you seem Mfd thread on making lcd screens? Not sure if it's in this thread or input/ output and I don't know if they are usb or not.
  4. Nice ine, I will look into that, thanks.
  5. So the X box controller fir perfect, luckily i tested it before I installed it and unfortunately i comes up as a joystick so cant control anything. So I was wondering, does anyone have an old broken X52 throttle? The finger "joystick" is perfect. Looked at making my own as its only 4 micros tactiles but cant work out how to make a ball joint small enough to hold a thumb controller. So yeah, if anyone has an X52 and wouldnt mind pulling out the index finger controller happy to buy it. Thanks Dave
  6. Why is it better than other programs such as easy monitor config? Never seen/used it?
  7. Off to Bunnings on Saturday to get one or eBay...this would have saved me so many head bangs, might get the band saw type attachment too. Thanks for the heads up buddy!
  8. What is the attachment to get the Drexel to get it to do circles. Please???
  9. Well what about this commen: This thread has no reputation and you have 1000 reputation points. I was tryin to give some some rep? System needs an overhaul, plus you can just get negative rep for disagreeing with someone. Finally in user CP if the thread says NA does that mean threads deleted?
  10. Well all I can say I wow, and insofar as its not too hard, I agree with anton above but you still have the skills I couldn't wish for! Truly remarkable piece of engineering.
  11. Could I ask a dumb question, I run Mach 3 - what would I need to with your files to router one? Export it to some programme to set the tool path then lad it in Mach 3? It's been so,long sin pec I toutered anything I cantvevern remember the name of the program I made tool paths from.,
  12. Actually had an old XBOX controller which the dog ruined so last night I took the thumbsticks and some tactiles and the vibration motors off it. I then took the Saitek apart and at this point I am thinking there is no way I will get it back together - Im not qute sure why they need 20 screws, so I may rebuild with superglue. The good news is, the xbox controller fits perfectly and it has the central click so it looks like it will be great for trim. This leave me with a spare thumb hat for which Im thinking I will build like a castle switch head. I also managed to remove one of the xbox triggers (the other ones pins snapped) so I have a spare trigger mechanism for some other future mod) Edit: I completely forgot the purpose of the message - the two sensors up down - have 3 pins - assume one is up, one is down and middle is earth? I may look for a schematic unless someone knows before I get home :-)
  13. Thank you, will try to find one one eBay/Australia!
  14. I know I know - drop the X52 and get a new one but I just cant justify it yet, it honestly does me fine....but Im bored so Im going to mod it. Its not going to be exciting but I will post some pics anyway. I have a few ideas, but the main mod I want to do but am struggling with (or perhaps 2) are as follows: Any ideas how / if I can wire an XBOX type Thumbstick to a GPWIZ card? I want to replace the i button and trim wheel on the throttle and replace with a hat type switch for which i will use a thumbstick from an old controller. The slider is garbage - any ideas on a mod for this? Again - my interface is a GPWIZ 40 - i may use a 3 position or 2 position switch for speedbreaks or flaps? Im also going to add a couple of A10 panels to the back of it it and replace that useless LCD screen realestate for some other usefull interfaces with some other functions to be decided. I'll probably then get a Warthog Hotas!
  15. Well mate sorry I cant help but btw that is some sweet looking realestate there - can you post a picture in action?
  16. Just out of interest I stopped using softh a number of years ago with no not able issues. Have you tried stopping using it then configuring through EMC orvsomething and Helios? It maybe a frame rate I was down to 25-30 with 4 monitors, is that what softh improves?
  17. So pics of 6 DOF platform?.
  18. I use blue tax currently, it dies tend to get 'claggy' from the heat of the monitor. Other thing I did was superglue hinges to them and the monitor so you can fold them away if you want to use second screen. I did however still need to use a piece of blue tack on the side opposite the hinge as they sag and can stand off the monitor. I've used double sided sticky Velcro but obviously it leaves some behind on your monitor if you plan on removing them. Last bit of advice from me, some users have cut a strip of plexi and mounted the MFDs to that with Velcro, blue tack glue. You can then attach this plexi with blue tack or Velcro in the corners where you wouldn't notice it. Personally if I did this approach I would either try on cut recesses in the plexi so them mfd sits inside and flush with the monitor or cut recesses the size of the internal circumference, then Paint the insides of the cut out black and use a white permanent marker to drae lines from the osb all the way down to the bottom of the cut out next to the screen. It can be ver difficult to see which screen function is meant for which osb especially if you are using dms to set up weapons or the replication of the waypoint input thing. I would think this would get worse the further you standbyour mfdsvodd thevscreen! Hopefully some useful tips!
  19. Viper right, I have Falcons pit on my shortcuts, I want to do one like that but more of fa18 style come Eurofighter multipit. The up front controller, typhoon has a similar thing, did you buy it or make it? Sorry for thread hijack, pm me please if you want to respond!
  20. Yeah I had to modify my desk a lot to get the 17" display under the monitor, is a realestate hog and a pita if you want to move it! Like your idea of non USB. One of the issues I'm having in my head is I want the pit front panel to be T shaped, pretty hard to do with a rectangle monitor but I do have 4 Mfcd so I could use your solution for the Middle lower Mfcd to sit between my legs and behind the stick. Hope you don't think I was criticising, was curious about how different people play and I too like the feel of pushing a button rather than a touch screen. Thanks for replying!
  21. I know it's personal preference and I get all that, just curious why you would not get a cheap 17" monitor and then add some Helios, those Mfcd on their own are not much bigger than the in game version viewpoint to have standalone? Is it size or using usb instead of valuable display ports or personal preference? Truly interested, obviously the things are sold as stand alone with view inserts so they are meant to be, just easier pressing a Mfcd than mouse clicking an osb? But with a screen?
  22. Maybe a sub 3 card will do the trick, mines the quad core 1st I7 so prolly a newer board? He it could have been me anyway, I'm no computer whizz by any stretch. In any case, I look jack sh@ when I'm on business cos a take the screen and am the only one with my twin screen laptop!
  23. And it's called VIFFing in the harrier. Surely the tomcat can have its own name, remember, "I'll kit the breaks and he'll fly right by" Call it Mavving - that way no nitpicking!
  24. Mate I bought this and couldnt use it, I could get it to work and get the displays there but the USB would connect and disconnect and in some cases I had already bombed the target and moved on before the USB screen registered a hit such was the lag. In some cases it messed my FPS to Powerpoint speed. However, I personally put this down to my MOBO being an early USB 3 compatible (P867) which seemed the USB 3 was mainly for storage type devices as there were no USB 3 monitors around at the time. The drivers never really worked it was just a crappy experience and I persisted, for months! The screen works fine on the wifes computer although she doesnt have DCS she has a much newer MOBO with full USB3 bells and whistles natural support so it was plug and play perfection but cant comment on gaming performance as its hers! In short, what MOBO do you have and is it native USB 3?? Shame cos it was a perfect size to sit under the triple monitors!! I would go for it if I could guarantee the problems I had were because of my older MOBO.
  25. I never understood why thrustmaster never offered this as an option, probably too much to go wrong making it a recall/customer service nightmare?!
