Do thrustmaster do any screens? Saitek do some instruments, but I recon with the price of LCD they could make USB3 MFDs with screens quite affordable.

They stopped making the F-16 stick right? Seems it would have been a good opportunity to sell the stick compatible with the hog base. Still unsure of the throttle base, like the idea of the A-10 panels but it limits its ICY.

Could May the 4th be a Space hint? Damn it better be an F-18, Im almost cracking for the Warthog but must wait for this. I am thinking improved stick base (but backward compatible with Warthog stick) and selling either as: New base, no stick New base with Warthog stick New base with F-18 stick or just Warthog stick or F-18 Stick standalone. No idea on the throttles but if I were to guess, Warthog will be the last with a replica base and future throttles will be generic base with interchangeable throttle tops, some sort of single/duel throttle adapter system probably in the throttle top.

Hey mate welcome back, Ive lost the flight sim bug completely despite 35 years of having it, dont know why ;-( we get to the pinnacle of my flight sim dreams and I lose it. Could be work stresses, too much drinking, hopefully I can solve all that this year. Still read the forums every few days hoping to get the bug back and its this one that does the most!

Had to fly into Williamtown (Australia - NSW) on Tuesday and noticed a BI logo on a unit in the tech park. Just googled it and they must be selling their Virtual Battle Space there. Williamtown is a RAAF Base and I thought Army would be in Townsville (QLD) for training. Anyway - just thought I would mention it for those who like ARMA!

So re updated and it deleted my exe. Looks like I have to reinstall the whole DCS 2. Maybe take this time to buy a bigger SSD.

Am I going mad, I have been updating dcs 2 all weekend, woke up this morning, updated to 1.5.X and doesnt work? I completely unistalled 1.5 when 2 came out. Confused...

I should qualify that, I am never going to get <0.1mm! :helpsmilie:although I have made it a little smaller and running it on aluminium runners and not copper pipe which flexed in the middle.

Can I ask a stupid question..... When you 3d print a panel, do you not print the text or do you still need to engrave? Plus, I respect both you and Hegy, but it would be respectful Hegy, if you have a problem to PM each other to establish facts before you call another member out. Yes I would like to know if lynx is making a 900% profit as I like to pay a fair price plus a fair profit margin, the price is what it is with these considered, if I cannot afford it, its not Lynx issue, I just need to get real. Please consider this because the community do respect you guys for bringing us things we cannot make and we listen to you, whilst I respect Hegy for calling out a potential rip off (sorry lynx, i am NOT suggesting you are) please remember that if you do this in public business without being fair, you could be sued for liable or false advertising or other such laws. I built a homemade, just bought the Texus Instruments and steppers and stuff off of ebay and used a dremel. Was good fun to build in MDF and free plans, learned a lot and had fun building it. Decided to re-engineer and design my own which has taken over from cockpit building because DIY (depending on your requirement) are just not that accurate unless you are some super builder! I have no idea about the chinese stuff on ebay, but if you need <1mm accuracy, you aint going to get it with a diy (IMO).

Please can I ask, and absolutely no disrespect to your fantastic work. Folk are making panels but I havnt seen anyone making A-10 MFDs they just use the Thrustmaster ones? You are all putting in heaps of effort, have the tools and capability to make them, but noone is? Dont want to shift it off topic so will ask you direct, (with the greatest respect), Romeo, did you think of making your own MFDs and why didnt you? Your pit is awesome btw.

I love Apache's setup, have done a few "similar" myself but I like his. I keep thinking that touch screen is the way to go, with Capt Zeen profiles its the ultimate in modular at desktop level. I do intend to build a pit for the Typhoon but the HUD, MHDDs, Glare Sheilds and DWP all need to be on a touch screen as the buttons are all multi functional. If you are looking at $550 for a generic panel (I would imagine it wouldnt be much cheaper to build one yourself as Apache600 seem like a straight up guy) I would start thinking touch screen. just my 2c
