I was after a T shaped monitor for a Eurofighter cockpit I have in mind!! :D

It only matters if you are making a replica cockpit, I made a panel I made up for o look like some sort of aircraft radio with 11 buttons for views and the communication (request inbound etc) all which use The F1-10 keys and / It didn't exist in any aircraft, but only I knew that and it didn't look out in place in the pit.

Dont feel silly, it is overwhelming when you look at it, its just once you start using it you realise it isnt as overwhelming as it first looks, until at least you want it to be! I actually found it very east, don't use Mic switch and boat is only used for changing view to IR/OBHot etc, use the X52 mfd keys for that. Top hat for DMS and POV for TMS, POV + pinky for trim. Throttle hat for targeting pod and pinky plus throttle hat for CMS. Then the thumb button for China hat fwd and with pinky for China hat back. Trigger plus pinky for breaks. You still have top hat plus pinky for TMS if you need a POV. That's pretty much it

He mentioned on page 4: SO might be using those.

Autohotkey was another I tried, the problem I found was each time you plugged in your keyboard or started your machine it was called something different, I dont know much about it, perhaps it was the Interrupt Request thing that USBs use, one day it could be 1HIDKeyboard the next 20HIDKeyboard....but I could never tell the PC and HID Macros, this is the keyboard HID Macros should be converting. I think I also tried PS2 and USB but none of the macro devices would find the correct keyboard after I turned it off, meant you had to reprogram every time, twice was too much!

You made the same mistake I did, remove the space ViewportHandling.lua is all one word. No need for a third file.

Hey I use a second mini keyboard which I stuck on labels to resemble the UFC: Tried a few different programs but no good, the only way I got it to work was using the pinky on my stick as a modifier. A few of us tried HID Macros program but it didn't work, check out my old thread, there were a few programmes but honestly the pinky was the best for me: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=72001

So I was just looking at the mini pits and get really jealous about the patience and accuracy of some of you craftsmen. Anyway, as I was frankenstining my X52 I took a dremel to it, then added a couple of scruffy panels: Sorry about the dust, its too dark to notice it normally but the flash showed up my tardy cleaning.

I cant get it to display following the intructions above: I tried putting thr try_find prompt at the top and here in the middle - this stops the Radar working in the cockpit. I tried putting it at the end and that leaves the Radar in the cockpit working. I then have this: And my cockpit resolution in game as 2048x2304 but it will not display. Any other ideas? Thanks

Has anyone exported the Radar to a second screen or configured Helios with Mirage? Do Razbam use the same type of files as DCS or do they modify their FSX aircraft to work in DCS? Going to have a play with it this afternoon. Thanks

You can lock it but can't hit it until 6nm - at least that the farthest I managed a kill with the S530. I wouldn't lock it until 10nm, he won't have chance to think before a missile is up his chuff! I am loving this aircraft, thanks!

Yeah surely it can't be crosswind? It blows me all the way into a building! That sort of wind would kick up a dust storm. I don't have pedals but you can trim the rudder, is it a trim issue?

Thanks for that - timing...im trying unlimited MK82 dropping 5 at a time and cant hit a load of APC! But thanks for the heads up, at least im seeing the target lock on the horizontal bar, wonder if it now has something to do with setting my altitude.... OK, CCIP practice time.....

Guys, Ive managed the A2A kills. Now I just cannot seem to get a CCIP target reticle on target in anything other than a vertical dive. I also cannot get any cross hairs to select a target so I can plan a CCRP. What I can do it turn on the radar to EW, select A2G, try and follow the manual page 101 but cant seem to get anything, my release reticle is virtical dive only, rhe rocket pipper never moves and nothing shows up on radar! Could anyone give me a heads up on the process? Thanks

Yeah I get that, and when I look down it has lost RDO and I have to turn it back on and then reaquire after gaining about 4nm. I cant call any faults on this module as I know F A about the jet but I am loving it - its touchscreen next for me and await Helios plug in, I like my Radar big and bright!

I cant seem to get any lock tone or launch indication. I see the small circle moves into the target but it does that at 10nm and the missile never makes it to target, ive now hit a 6nm.

Did you try printing four of them and sticking them on top of each other as suggested above? Like the aluminium idea btw - pinched!

I get that but does DCS do building targets? I used to love flying the F-22 in low obs mode and then bombing a HQ defended by AA...It was the DID one I think. The showed you a photo in the brief and an area of the city, you had to find the target building then attack it. I think DCS may need more work on that side of things before F-117A is an attractive platform but I dont have a clue about making missions so in all likelihood I could be talking garbage.
